Hello all - new thread to keep us going for the AW18 collection.

Yeah, I've stopped opening Instagram as the gushing and the fakeness just started to wind me up. If someone is sent something worth £ or ££££ they're hardly going to be impartial are they?
All the carefully posed shots of outfits/houses/kids fuels people to spend outside their means and I certainly don't need further encouragement on that score!
Much nicer to see real people on here although I still think we do Hush a favour on this thread and would like them to send us all a selection of their new collection.

Currently sitting in Marylebone Station waiting for a train.

Wearing my rust coloured Santana skirt today with a floral top from Oasis. I'm not convinced they work together but was in a hurry this morning. I nearly posted a pic here for opinions, but then decided just to go with it.

@ilovecherries I also like midlife chic - I think she buys her own stuff though. She comes across to me as being very 'real' - not impossibly beautiful or skinny but very stylish and quite down to earth.
I don't really have a lot of interest in other instagrammers as I think they are selling a lifestyle that is totally unobtainable for most people and I can't relate to them at all.
This thread is great for 'real' reviews and critique. Seeing things on other posters has actually also encouraged me to buy things I wouldn't normally have noticed much because they look so good in them and have a good eye for things that work well together.

Totally agree on fake people on Instagram. Funny I also only follow a couple of blogs/read more or less regularly : Nicky at midlife chic (discovered through MN) and Alyson at that’s not my age. Don’t follow anyone on Instagram which I forget to open for days on end.
But agree with Gin it would be nice if Hush threw a few things to try our way or at least gave us VIP/early access tickets to their next London sample sale...
I love seeing your RL pics too but what I like even more about the thread is the kindness and honesty.

Having stated categorically I’m not a leggings regular wearer I was tempted by the M&S leopard leggings at fabulous £12 a pop recommended upthread.
While on the animal print theme I saw a pair of wide fit leopard print ankle boots I just had to add to the basket while I was there ella winking at fellow kipper footed twin

I ordered the black star tee yesterday as realised I really dont have anything to wear with my Santana's and leopard maxi that isn't a vest top.

The weather has definitely cooled now so I thought that would work with all my skirts.

Well off to optician with all three of my children yawn
Just picking up glasses. Then its home to tidy :( Do a bit of work, browse the internet, put washing on...very mundane. Its wet here anway. I have never worn my santana but regular work days next week so going to put it on. Its just so miserable that I don't feel motivated to wear any summery things.

Oh but highlight, I will have my parcel to pick up from Waitrose from JL - leopard leggings in small. Looking forward to receiving them.

Oh an the tiger tee is in stock so may just HAVE to purchase it!

Morning never it’s cloudy but no rain forecasted at least today.
I had the crazy notion of going for a ride with DH (just to try, put Doc Martens on and off /swap with Star Trooper boot while sitting on the pillion seat) which I now think was maybe a bit ambitious
I have cabin fever I think...he’s offered to drive me to the Norfolk coast so that’s what we’ll do this weekend.
It’ll definitely not be shorts weather though.

Like a few of you, the Instagram 'influencers' who blog full-time are starting to really annoy me too. I am plus size and there are a few plus size bloggers crowing about their free holidays, free clothes and freebies like a Dyson fan!! I know they sell most of it and it actually puts me off spending with a brand who send out freebies to these people to punt stuff to us. They can't possibly be impartial in what they say. I live in hope that particular bubble will soon burst.

I got my parcel with the black Rainbow tee and animal print Ivy today and I am delighted with both. I even changed as I have the black Harems on, and the Rainbow tee looks great with them.

Not everything Hush sells fits me as I'm size 18-20,, so I don't buy a lot, but when I find something I love which does fit well, I buy it over and over (the Harems and Ivy dresses especially).

Yes each lovely aren’t they? They were showing ooo on some sizes and low stock on mine which made me decide to grab now.
I know they fit my wide feet as I’ve had others from their wide feet fashion range (kitten heels and flat witchy pointy shoes)
The quality is not very good however. Definitely a fashion boot that will not withstand more than one season wear before looking scruffy...but I know that. Just thought I’d mention it.
