Thanks for all your nice weight loss comments. Nearly 5 and a half stone now. Thanks to all the —enabling— kindness, support and advice on here I really am starting to feel more like myself when it comes to clothes. My waist is still thicker than I’d like for health reasons, but the one advantage of big boobs is that they make my waist look smaller! I do wish it was possible to spot reduce now though. My face is getting quite thin and my bum is non existent and the last 10 lbs I’d like to lose are firmly stuck to waist and boobs. I still have huge problems with choosing the right size, I get twitchy once I get to a medium.

Now I see how an ivy is meant to fit rather than the large I have in my wardrobe, I think I will order a navy one, the leopard Amies, and the wide tops in grey and green. Do you think the ivy in the xs is ok though? I shouldn’t go to an S? Think I will def go for a S in the jersey tops though, the XS just feels too fitted. Will be nice to come back from hols to some warmer clothes that fit.

I still need an everyday warm coat but I’m going to look an uniqlo for that.

ilovecherries · 17/08/2018 22:30

I’m feeling a bit worried that I’ve got everyone anxious about their coats! The one I had on today actually felt like it was mislabelled it was so neat.

Judydreamsofhorses · 17/08/2018 22:30

ella I have had it redirected to the post office near my work so will collect it on Monday. I should have had it sent to my work to begin with but actually thought it would come tomorrow. Gah.

neveradullmoment99 · 17/08/2018 22:31

I think the xs in the ivy will be fine. Its fairly stretchy and if you have more weight to lose, it will be fine for then as well. Your holiday must be soon!

GinandGingerBeer · 17/08/2018 22:33

My orders not arrived yet, but thanks for the compliments on my trying on session @ JL. Can't remember if I posted a pic of the burgundy animal print ivy? It's lovely but it's too big in XS which is bloody annoying as I'd really like it.

I know we're all into the AW but I'd got my leopard maxi hung on the front of my wardrobe with the caro top hung over the front, thought I'd try it and they work really well together so if you have them both, give it a whirl Smile

neveradullmoment99 · 17/08/2018 22:34

It may well have been labelled wrongly. It is entirely possible for two garments that are the same to be different in size.

ilovecherries · 17/08/2018 22:35

I start next Friday, never. Week with dd. Back a week, two weeks with DH. Back 10 days, a week with my parents. I’ll be holidayed out Grin

ilovecherries · 17/08/2018 22:38

Crazy busy week next week making sure all clients are happy then more or less off for 6 weeks :)

neveradullmoment99 · 17/08/2018 22:41

Sounds great!!! I wish we had some sunshine here. Try to make sure you bring some back with you please!!!

ilovecherries · 17/08/2018 22:42

Twitchy when I get to a medium on the way down, that is. My default is to start with large, because to me that’s still small.

GinandGingerBeer · 17/08/2018 22:43

Thoroughly X posted Blushre the ivy and sound like a complete nob. Sorry.
It isn't in any way a stealth 'oh It's too big post', it's a genuine, ffs @ hush sizing iyswim.
I'm also getting a migraine again and can't think straight or see straight for flashing lights.
I'll stfu now Smile

neveradullmoment99 · 17/08/2018 22:44

Gin I must try it. I have both.
Was looking at Kat farmer on her blog/Instagram and noticed she was wearing the hush maxi!! She is also sporting a few hush pieces. I don't really follow her. Just look for curiosity. I don't like her style tbh. All long dresses and flowing hair and pointy boots.

neveradullmoment99 · 17/08/2018 22:45

Gin Noone was offended. Things are too big sometimes [ and sadly too small ha ha ha...]

GinandGingerBeer · 17/08/2018 23:05

Yes, disappointingly hush do give loads away to bloggers when I think they should give it to us on this thread instead Smile as I bet there are lots of lurkers who buy things on the back of our recommendations.........
Come and say hello lurkers

neveradullmoment99 · 17/08/2018 23:12

Porkers hee hee hee…..

neveradullmoment99 · 17/08/2018 23:13

Yes, they should give it to us real people.

Watchingtheworldgoby · 18/08/2018 01:18

I follow a blogger on Istagram. Recently she put up a post of all her ‘recent buys’. There were approx twenty items. Most of them cost £79 but some were more and one was £1500. A lot of her clothes came from one shop. I was wondering how on earth she could afford all of them in the last couple of weeks and today she said in her ‘stories’ that they had been ‘given’ to her. She said it very quickly, so quickly that I had to listen again. Surely they should all have to say if they paid or not. I know some of them say ‘in partnership with’ but I have been following this blogger for quite some time and this was the first time I heard her say it and she said it in such a way I had to listen again to figure out if that was what she had said.

If they review, as I’m sure they do, the reviews count for nothing as they give gliwing accounts for everything. 40plusnotgivingupyet is the only genuine one out there!

Laska5772 · 18/08/2018 08:04

I also liked the navy sweat on you cherries (that was one I kept of my mega order) And the wide tops strange about sizing though my charcoal one is really very loose in the XS. Def go for Xs in navy ivy though.
That black gold shirt is lovely !

Laska5772 · 18/08/2018 08:05

I don't follow any bloggers but think I ought to become one ! Grin

Laska5772 · 18/08/2018 08:10

Def with you on the detail issue Ella .
Really shocking about HOF ( but I suppose not entirely unexpected considering the company that has bought it)

Laska5772 · 18/08/2018 08:12

Re giving clothes to real people.. maybe they might think that our amateur phone photo s may be a bit too "readers wives" GrinGrin

Ellapaella · 18/08/2018 08:30

Readers wives Grin

OP posts:
ilovecherries · 18/08/2018 08:40

Grin at readers wives! gin, absolutely nothing to be sorry for. Everybody is a different size and shape, it’s a reality that some stuff will be too big, some too small. laska, DH liked me in the navy star top as well when he saw the pictures. He uttered the immortal words ‘you’d find it handy in the camper’. I may order and try again at home as he also says that he thinks most of my spring sweats which I thought were ok, are really too big now.

ilovecherries · 18/08/2018 08:47

Re bloggers and (lack of) transparency, there was a couple of long running threads about that earlier in the year. I like flicking through Instagram, and I like Midlifechic’s blog, but I’m much more inspired to try stuff based on our photos and reviews here, and getting some honest feedback. I feel some of those insta ‘influencers’ Envy
