Hi laska waves I need to do what you’re doing re clothes and usually do once or twice a year end up with a few bin bags for charity.
Problem is I have some £ stuff and I’ve never done eBay and when my work goes mad (as it usually does) then no time to manage it. It’s difficult to plan for in advance as I was crazy busy early in the week, it calmed down a bit yesterday and today but I know it’ll go tits up again next week. That’s my excuse anyway.
I have a few Boden cashmere petite cardigans which come out every year. I didn’t bother this year as the last one I bought on the AW 17 sale while bargainous just wasn’t the same quality as the older versions.
I switched loyalty to Hush jumpers but this year they’re a ridiculous price so totally agree and will wait till they’re reduced on the sale...I’m glad you pointed out the sale Lacy jumper as it’s really nice and has only had a couple of outings so will be useful for this Autumn workwear.
I also have some lovely fine knit pure wool jumpers from Hobbs for work so in all honesty I’m totally covered till sale time.
Good luck with your mission!

Ok so my parcel arrived. All good really but i wont be keeping it all. Will post pictures in a minuteSmile

Laska5772 · 17/08/2018 10:01

soy I have really pretty much given up ebaying, as it is such a hassle . and once or twice i have had people saying things have gone missing and I've had to refund (and of course its always the stuff that has gone for a really high price). Someone even opened a case against me for sending something ( advertised as used) that 'had clearly been worn' Hmm.. i just tend to charity shop pretty much everything now . I might have a go with some Boden stuff perhaps..

We do have some good 50/50 charity shops (hospice and things ) here which are great for smarter clothes . I will try those .

Ellapaella · 17/08/2018 10:05

For those of you having a clear out...
A couple of months ago I organised a charity Clothes Swap. Everyone bought a ticket for £10 and then brought along however many items of clothing they wanted that they don't wear anymore to swap. So if you brought 4 you could take 4 etc.
It was a great success - we had wine and nibbles and people brought some fantastic stuff. We had Boden, Reiss, Jaeger, Hush, White Stuff, Joules, Monsoon.. the list goes on. Honestly it was a fantastic night and I got some really good finds. All left over clothes not swapped were taken to a charity shop.
Only thing is now me and my friends are all wearing each other's clothes!
Really worth considering if you have a bit of time to organise. I did mine in a local club but you could just do it In your own house.
We raised loads of money for charity, got some really nice new clothes and had a good social night in the process.

wide v-neck, faces dress [gardenia] zebra skirt, flock star tee, denim jeans. Leopard leggings with my old red hush ivy.

Ellapaella · 17/08/2018 10:15

@neveradullmoment99 omg I love the zebra skirt on you! Please tell me you are keeping, it's so nice.
What is he black dress you are wearing? Looks really good.

neveradullmoment99 · 17/08/2018 10:16

Forgot to take a picture of the denim shirt. Its neater on me and tbh i think its going back as its just a denim shirt. Ten a penny and nothing special enought about it for me. Also going to return the dress. I dont love it. I may re-order it. Love the jeans but they are very stretchy and think they would be too big in your normal size [ i have a flabby tummy so they are great] Not sure if i want to keep them as they are expensive and just a pair of jeans. Like the zebra skirt, like the v-neck wide top. Its lovely material. Looks nice with the skirt. The tee is nice quality. Feels thicker, nice shape and nice length. Leggings are ok. A bit long.

neveradullmoment99 · 17/08/2018 10:17

Its the gardenia dress.

neveradullmoment99 · 17/08/2018 10:19

I think the black dress is nice. But it has long sleeves and just feels too wintry. I will think about it. I will add it all up and see what i can afford to keep!!!

neveradullmoment99 · 17/08/2018 10:19

I am keeping the zebra skirt. I really like it.

Ellapaella · 17/08/2018 10:19

You definitely need to keep the zebra skirt and the dress, they look really good. Really suit you and the top with the skirt looks fab. What size leggings did you go for?

Laska5772 · 17/08/2018 10:21

never Those photos are looking a bit dark on my laptop sadly .esp the faces dress and flock Ts . What are you keeping ?

Which jeans are they ?
What is your verdict on the wide V neck.. was I unfair?

neveradullmoment99 · 17/08/2018 10:22

I went for a medium as i read the reviews on the plain ones. I probably could have got the small. However, they do feel fine. They are a bit long on me so they should fit you perfectly!

neveradullmoment99 · 17/08/2018 10:23

I like the wide neck v-top. I like the fabric. Its stretchy and light and very different to the grey one from last season but i really like it. See if the pics are better on your phone?

Laska5772 · 17/08/2018 10:24

me then.. did you have the black wide neck from last year?

ilovecherries · 17/08/2018 10:24

This thread has comp, steely disappeared for me. Happened once before, no idea why, don’t have it hidden. I need to go to it direct.

neveradullmoment99 · 17/08/2018 10:25

@Laska, the jeans are great and super super stretchy. I think though that if you are between sizes and you dont have a tummy then definitely size down. They are ridiculously comfy.

neveradullmoment99 · 17/08/2018 10:26

No, i had the grey one but sold it on ebay over the summer as it had gotten huge on me.

Laska5772 · 17/08/2018 10:26

ella Great Idea on clothes swap . I think the hospice has done that sort of thing ..

neveradullmoment99 · 17/08/2018 10:28

The zebra skirt is a 12. I find it true to size on me as it is neat but not uncomfortable at the waist/hips. Someone that is more straight up and down would be even better in it. I would say on that, buy your normal size.

neveradullmoment99 · 17/08/2018 10:29

The jeans are the only blue jeans that are on the hush website that are skinny fit. Jackson jeans i think.

neveradullmoment99 · 17/08/2018 10:31

But, i really like the star embroidered skinny jeans in grey. mmm.....
