Hello all - new thread to keep us going for the AW18 collection.

Right the returns are back in the post already ! .. I really CBA in the end to reorder the lot I kept , (although that did mean losing the 10%.. so £23.. ). & no I'm not rich .. just too darn lazy

Now what shall i do for the rest of AW18? I think I have all that I liked .....Drums fingers ... washed Ivy is still coming (for a look!!) .. but Faith jumper? , maybe but its cotton..(cotton takes ages to dry) ..so havent ordered that (yet .) .

Except , except... ...You are all right, the Ziggy is really just too expensive.. but I keep looking at it

Oh, those boots are lovely. I do wish I could wear shoes. As mentioned upthread, have one pair of Boden leopard boots, but they are really just for show.

I have literally just bought those M&S boots in the burgundy (black’s already sold out in my size) having spotted them late last night. That’s it though. No more clothes or footwear shopping for me until after Christmas now.

@Laska5772 I think the green wide jersey too looks fantastic with the animal print leggings in your photo - really good combo.

Ella thanks.. Both the green and the charcoal were love at first sight.. I couldn't choose between then as they will both go with loads of things I have already. They are very slightly marl, and a really nice weight

Oh those boots! Both M&S and Moshulu (love Moshulu shoes so comfy!)
In fact last time I was in Spain they had lots of the biker/buckle/studded boots and like a fool I didn’t buy...they even had a leopard Print style with the buckles cries so I have high hopes of finding during the upcoming September hols.
If not now I know where to look

laska not planning on handwashing the Faith. I think it’s robust enough to be fine with a delicates wash 🙏🙏🙏 maybe I’m a bit reckless but feel it can handle it whereas the v neck I returned was really really whisper thin cotton knit and looked sooo fragile I wouldn’t dare chance it.

SoyYo I really like the black on you (but I like most things black). It’s not as summery or casual as the cream one though so it does depend on what you need.

laska I have the plain black leggings from a year ago and they wash well. Love this season’s leopard ones on you and now kicking myself for removing them from my basket before placing the order (trying to be good)

For those getting the animal print leggings what shoes will you wear with them? I like them but not sure what footwear I would put with them. Pumps I guess is most obvious answer but inspire me!

lucky thanks for the reply it’s still nice to read I’m not deluding myself it looks okay, the jumper itself is very very nice and a keeper but that’s only 50% of the battle as we all know when we try on things that look super on the Hush perfect models but just end up looking abominable on slightly podgy middle aged women like me.

ella in winter I also wear leggings with flat ankle boots. Is that wrong?

Tbh I’m not a huge leggings wearer though and only own 2 pairs (plain black and a crazy Gudrun Sjoden Black/white zigzagging print). I’ve worn both with longer tunics/jumpers and trainers or flat ankle boots...reason I’m probably not going to bother with the Hush leggings as I’ll barely wear them and probably far too long for me. On laska they do look great though

I will wear mine with boots. Calf boot and ankle boots. I may see how they look with trainers too. I would wear them with the hush star trainers if I had them!

I would personally probably never wear mine with pumps because I think tbh its a bit dated looking and it kind of shortens the leg. I would wear them with chunky wedge sandals though.

Another reason I don’t wear leggings that often is they tend to emphasise my inverted triangle shape and my slim legs so I have to be careful I balance the top half or I look weird (maybe it’s in my head) whereas skinnies are thicker and so look much better in them

I don't like to see my ankles when I wear leggings. Even with trainers I would probably wear black socks! They make my legs look stumpy when you see my ankle generally. I have a friend and she wears legging with wedge shoes and she looks great. She has super skinny legs though and she tends to wear a tunic that is just above the knee, usually black or black and grey stripes and she looks great.

Yes never that’s how I wear my 2 pairs of leggings with above the knee tunics (with shape...Anything baggy would completely unbalance me) or a very long jumper. Wouldn’t have thought of wedges, interesting...I think I’ll stick with my skinny jeans though as I don’t have that many things(or tunics for that matter) that would pair up easily with the leopard print, and I’m lusting after other things.

It is my birthday mid-september and I am always stuck. I like to buy stuff now (Hush being a prime example as they well out so quickly) but then it is my birthday and I either have a) no ideas or b) can hand my family my pre-bought presents and see them roll their eyes.

I think I may offer my inlaws the opportunity to buy me the pink rock n roll sweatshirt though - it is a bit out there but I like it.

WRT leggings I would wear them with trainers and ankles exposed. Always the ankle exposed with trousers in general for me unless over an ankle boot (wide leg) or tucked into a high boot. I think it is to do with the shape of my legs (big thighs, reasonable calves and nice ankles LOL) so I try not to highlight the chunkiness on top.

Clarks about 4 years old , I have three pairs (two black, one grey suede) and get them constantly re-heeled and soled .. However they cant last much longer (sob) have never found anything so great .
