Laska, try Fly London boots.

SoyYo · 16/08/2018 18:55

laska awesome boots they’d be great for the bike too...yes was really sad to hear about Aretha in the news, somehow we think icons like her are eternal (and she is now in the truest sense of the word)
Maybe I will but the Carpe Diem T just to remind myself...

SoyYo · 16/08/2018 18:56

buy

miffy2 · 16/08/2018 18:57

Oh M&S, you divils. Boots are £75 (€85) and here in Ireland they are €105, almost 30% of a markup! I shall try them on tomorrow and order online unless I get a discount very very soon.

miffy2 · 16/08/2018 18:58

SoyYo - suerte indeed! :)

Laska5772 · 16/08/2018 19:06

I have seem Fly before , we have a local place selling them , but atm. my trusty Clarks are holding up !!

I really love Moshulu for boots they have some similar most years . I have a blue pair already ( but of course! Wink )

SoyYo · 16/08/2018 19:09

Tempting never but the wedge heel is not quite right. Proper biker boots should have a separate heel like the ones laska posted, but those are a good option if you’re not a purist biker chic chick like me Wink

SoyYo · 16/08/2018 19:12

Not that I’ll be jumping on DH’s HD for a while. We were taking it on the ferry for our Spanish summer hols but can’t find spaces to move trip till mid Sept...we’ll have to move it to next year and fly instead.
He hasn’t complained once and we’ll also be missing out on the mother of bike parties in Castellón Sad early Sept...

SoyYo · 16/08/2018 19:13

Sorry for my glumness. It’s the Star Trooper Boot. And Aretha

Laska5772 · 16/08/2018 19:17

I have these in blue but they sure damn were not that expensive when I bought them Shock (about half that £) . they are lovely but TBH a bit high for me .

I also have some very old Dubarrys (about 12yrs) , walnut Kildare. mid calf (which is my favourite length). Again they were nothing like they go for now..have got trendy ( mine about half the price and I Shock then but they were a preset ) . But they last forever.I have never had to have mine sent back for resoling and they are still waterproof . They need to be with me - I wear them loads in the garden, and out muddy chalky hill walking !

Laska5772 · 16/08/2018 19:19

No ferries at all soy? Dover? Newhaven ?, Portsmouth? Plymouth/ Santander?

neveradullmoment99 · 16/08/2018 19:20

I would be pissed off if I were in shoes boot too.
They are more of a fashion boot but super comfy.
I did have a pair of Harleys but never had any biking intentions!!

SoyYo · 16/08/2018 19:21

Nope laska we can only change FOC on the same route, we won’t lose it (it was expensive with the cabin, etc) will just move it to next year.
Btw Radio 4 right now tribute to Aretha

SoyYo · 16/08/2018 19:22

never there’s 3 in our garage (they reproduce like rabbits Grin)
How come you had 2 and never rode them?

Laska5772 · 16/08/2018 19:23

Ah .. Soy is a Hogista .. that explains a lot .. WinkGrin

SoyYo · 16/08/2018 19:27

Nope Hogistas are “born again” there’s a difference...we never stopped being part of the biker world from late teens onwards.
Free Souls and no matching leathers for us

SoyYo · 16/08/2018 19:34

laska I like being a multifaceted renaissance person (or I try at least) but it definitely explains my goth like fashion tendencies and the huge number of fashion biker jackets (aside proper riding ones) I own Wink
The only sad thing is not many youngsters can afford nice bikes these days so it’s definitely an older crowd now compared to when we were young and wild.
But definitely don’t agree with Jethro Tulls lyrics of being too old to rock n roll and too young to die Grin

Laska5772 · 16/08/2018 19:35

ooh are Hogistas a thing? .. I just thought I made it up!

Here is soy on her Hog folks.. (sans space boot) its probably isn't a HD

Laska5772 · 16/08/2018 19:36

Teen soy ..

SoyYo · 16/08/2018 19:39

🤣🤣🤣 love that pic laska
Yes HD’s in the last decade suddenly became popular with born again (ie mid life crises rich blokes) and there’s a club sponsored by the factory called “Hog” we call them Hoggies they’re completely nice people but not our thing. Too organised. Too much into the look and not enough into being free if that makes sense

SoyYo · 16/08/2018 19:43

Damm you laska stop posting fabulous Moshulu boots! 😍
back to fashion talk

Laska5772 · 16/08/2018 19:45

All the gear , No Idea..

A bit like the 'yotties' who descend here in the 'sailing season' (esp in Cowes Week!) ,who have to have the latest right 'stuff' rather than people who just love to sail boats - any boat really and whenever, and who just have the bug, and an old set of gear - inc v scratched up sailing boots but no boat. Who's that then? Wink

SoyYo · 16/08/2018 19:49

Yes You get It Wink

Laska5772 · 16/08/2018 19:55

Cant afford a boat and a Hush (and boot) habit ..

Cant afford a boat full stop. Well maybe a small one perhaps .

Also cant get DH out in a boat anyway Sad.. We are getting motorhome sometime soon instead..but it still not a boat, Waaa!
