I bought two of those silk shirts you recommended from Boden, Soy but the 14 wouldn’t even fasten at the chest, and yet was hanging off my shoulders, baggy at the waist etc :(

Well its quite cold here with wind and rain - top temp 19 degrees. Looks like its set to cool for everyone from Wednesday so respite for those who are finding it hard Melen
For the next week its changeable and lucky we reach 15 or 16 degrees so definitely time for Autumn wear :)

Sad too cause I was hoping to get wear from my summer hush things. It may still get warmer. Hearing that we may actually have an Indian summer in the UK in September. So its not the end of the heatwave.

Looked on the hush website for any bargains but a bit fed up with looking at the same stuff now.

I've been out into town picked up my bra but haven't tried it yet.. couldn't see any skirts like the pleated ones in Next but they have all new stuff in. Also ( because I met DS for lunch I ended up spending £35 in there on him ( 3/4 cargo trousers as he is melting at work , (doing an evening shift as well!).

OK so my last 'knockings' of Hush arrived . More Zoe shorts. I'm going to dye one pair navy, - I think the blue thread is dark enough that it will look ok and anyway so cheap it wont matter if its not perfect ( I'm hoping they will be though of course ) . Ill report back on that in a bit . they are in wash right now.

Faye shirt at full price ( which I've liked al, season and its never been reduced,) managed to be too big and gape at the bust at the same time . so going back.
Alina scarf in pink , well its ok , but just ok.. also much duller shades and heavier fabric than I thought . Going back

Fringed skirt in ditsy granite green.. ( thought Id give it a try as I have lived in and loved my black one much this summer ). It just doesn't go with anything I posses - including the granite green slub T .. and some how just looks a bit cheap compared to the black one. Going back ..

Jury was out on the Tulum shorts i had intended to send back this morning again. Strangely (and despite I have eaten everything in the whole world this weekend) they fitted me fine this morning and I though they were a bit tight around waist when I tried them on Saturday .They are nice shorts ,ive decided, but still £30. So if the navy dye experiment is successful on the Zoe, then they will go back also.

That really IS it for summer for me ..there's nothing else i fancied that I haven't given a go now.. ..no.. I mean it!

Laska I was contemplating the washed black ivy dress? What do you think? I ordered it and tried it twice but its a good buy and equally good for Autumn.

Also been really struggling to not eat sweet things @laska. I need to get back to work and get on the 5:2. Have been fasting 18:6 every second day though but still eating sugary crap - Not good. My brother passed in too with Turkish delight from holiday. That coupled by the Swiss chocolate. Its been a real challenge.

Its nice but not sure about the sleeve length for me .. how thick is the fabric..? I seem to remember you posted a photo and t looked good on you.. What made you send it back twice though?

I have the washed puff sleeve dress, which first time I wore i managed to rub a paler patch into ( right on the bust of course) by dropping a drip of soup and then rubbing it with a tissue .so I am a bit wary of the dark washed fabrics now (Ii corrected the mark with a lead pencil !!).

I am hanging out for the Midnight Ivy ..

So, what do you think? laska, the shirt and shorts def didn’t shrink?

Lask I only returned because is looked dull for summer. The sleeves were ok. Why don't you like the sleeves?

The fabric is thicker than the leopard one. I am sure its about as thick as the winter ones.

I love the hortensa shirt cherries There isn't anything that I don't like.

Like it all cherries .. What size are the jeans ? I'm wondering if you could size down..

What do you think of the Zoe shorts?

I wear my Hortensa more unbuttoned than that but no it didnt shrink, nether the Marseilles. (both washed at 30 in the machine)

The 2 Zoes are in the wash right now ! (I didnt think about shrinkage, but they are pretty loose on me anyway )

This was my wild card, which I had forgotten about. I bought it early in the summer, and decided I wasn’t spending £80 on it, so sent it back, and then at £30 decided to have another look. But I think it’s still a bit buxom milkmaid on me?

I really like that top on you cherries. What size is it. Very tempted. I tried it last year and hated it. I disliked the sleeves.

The jeans and hortensia are a 12, Zoe is a 10. Marseille shorts are 12, and have already been washed multiple times and they are fine - though I have sewed the turn up in place.

I wouldn’t say I had any lee way for shrinkage in the zoes laska. For 12 quid though, perfect beach shorts for holiday.

I’m not surenever. I’m still smarting after a ‘friend’ saying to me on Friday that it must be dispiriting to have lost all that weight and ‘still have knockers like a pantomime dame’. . I was actually really upset and she also asked if I didn’t find it ruined the line of all my clothes. So I’m now back to considering a top to toe tent :(. I just can’t tell what works on me now.

Oh sorry to read the silk shirts were no good cherries 😢 I guess now you know they won’t work for you or wonder next time...I can only think of Bravissimo shirts which will deffo work for you in a super curvy fit but i have a couple for work from a couple of years ago and they’re my least worn shirts. Don’t like that they are so fitted if that makes sense?
I prefer loose flowing fabrics on shirts. And yes Boden in 16 would just be ginormous everywhere else so not worth trying. Which was exactly my problem with the lovely swimsuit so good to know melen that I can have it altered at the hips as that would make it even more perfect!l! 👍

I’m melting here and missing the sea breeze. Fully in summer mode still but as I go to the Southern Hemisphere on Friday for a weeks work I will be packing winter things again and looking forward to giving the blue merino scarf its first outing
