I had my bag on today. First outing. I loved it. Very roomy. Still debating the trainers though.

PorpoisefullyObtuse · 03/08/2018 16:28

First parcel arrived today. Caro top is such a winner. Love it even though I am so pale. Star fray jeans. Still not sure. I am a few pounds over my comfortable weight range and heading back towards it. Will try in a week or so again. Had my first proper try of the leopard maxi. It’s so lovely. I wafted elegantly around the house. Got lovely sandals and a top and plan on wearing it out tomorrow. I still think I could style it for winter. Ankle boots and a fine knit. It’s staying (but it’s return label probably won’t be...)

neveradullmoment99 · 03/08/2018 16:33

My scarf came. Beautiful colour but sadly I cant wear it. Far too itchy on me. It never occurred to me that it might be but it is. I will keep if for a gift or sell on ebay. Its so darn lovely too :(
Leather skirt. Havent tried on. I tried it in the past and the waist was very very neat. Have bought in a 12 and 14 so just back and will try on later.

neveradullmoment99 · 03/08/2018 16:35

Glad you like the jeans. I have had them for ages and also find them a perfect fit. So glad others have like the caro tops. Its been so miserable, I am forgetting I have it and at this rate, will be wearing it next year.

Talisin · 03/08/2018 17:11

God I wish it was miserable here. 90 frigging degrees in South London right now - I’m melting.

neveradullmoment99 · 03/08/2018 17:51

Well skirts going back. 14 is mahoosive on the hips and ok on the waist. 12 is neat on the waist and better on the hips but not perfect. Bad design. Returning tomorrow. Halo

neveradullmoment99 · 03/08/2018 17:52

Lovely colour, beautiful leather but really they messed up on this design.

PlantsOfPerspective · 03/08/2018 18:04

Laska, did you size up for the boyfriend jeans as the website suggests? I've just ordered some.

Laska5772 · 03/08/2018 18:23

No I didn't plants, I got a size 12 same as my frayed star jeans..they were a great fit (I usually start with a 12 and then see! The embroidered star ones I sent back yesterday I needed a 10 )

I ordered the merino scarf previously and decided it was too itchy, but kept the Alina scarf. However the merino one is now so cheap I did order it again.

PlantsOfPerspective · 03/08/2018 18:28

Ah, thanks Laska. I've ordered a 12, but I'm not sure if I should have got a 10 🤔.

PlantsOfPerspective · 03/08/2018 18:34

I love my black Audrey jacket that I got in the sale recently. Not that it's been cool enough to wear it very often 😄.

dontcallmelen · 03/08/2018 18:45

@Laska those jeans look fantastic on you.
@never shame about the skirt, but if it’s not designed properly it will never feel right.
Glad everyone is feeling the love on the caro top, agree it is sooo lovely & will go with lots of things, I’m still stalking the website for my my size.

Talisin · 03/08/2018 19:09

Thanks to everyone who shared their experience of Mint Velvet top sizing. In the end I bit the bullet and ordered in medium and large - which did have the side benefit of giving free shipping. Both fit and are flattering but I decided I prefer the slightly more slouchy look the large gives. Ridiculous price but it’s absolutely gorgeous

dontcallmelen · 03/08/2018 19:34

@Talisin, it’s lovely, fellow south London resident agree it has been melting my garden was unusable from about 11.30.

Laska5772 · 03/08/2018 20:57

We've been down our local beach this evening and been in swimming. Not quite the Med, but sea was pretty warm..

The Hush fringed skirt and slub Ts are great to wear for changing on British beaches .. The skirt goes over your head and beach towel (as elasticated) so you can get your bikini bottoms off and knicks on without exposing anything..Grin

There.. I bet you never thought about that before! Grin.

I finally fell for the Faye shirt ( after loving it all season and the price never shifting) and the pink Alina scarf also as is a good price ..

Never DH bought me a leather skirt some years ago ( a tasteful one I hasten to add...Smile) black A-line knee length.. I've never really known how to wear it.. Now that I have lost weight (again), it fits me (again) . But how the hell do you clean it?.. It will probably stay in the wardrobe where it has been for at least 10 years..
Luckily, I think he has forgotten about it ....

I’m still melting here, am drowning in cool spray.

neveradullmoment99 · 03/08/2018 21:10

I have a black A-line one. Just wipe clean I would say. Specialist dry clean otherwise. I got mine from hush last year. Its black. Tbh, I think ive worn it once so maybe its just as well the other one was crap. Its so pale too I would have stained it for sure. Must wear it more. Its good in the Autumn with boots and chunky jumper.

neveradullmoment99 · 03/08/2018 21:12

I treated myself to it for my birthday. It is really beautiful. I adore
hush leather. Its so soft and beautiful to smell and touch.
So jealous of your weather. It was sunnyish here. Maybe tomorrow will be better.

neveradullmoment99 · 03/08/2018 21:14

Actually last year I wore mine with black calf length boots, black thick tights, a neat fitting mango fine knit black jumper.

RemusLupinsBiggestGroupie · 03/08/2018 21:27

Laska - try it with black opaques and ankle boots, and maybe a soft grey cashmere v neck jumper. That's how I want to wear mine, if I ever find the right one!

Ellapaella · 03/08/2018 21:28

I have a leather pencil skirt. I wear mine with tights and a fine knit in winter. I have only worn it once since March and that was with the Stella star tee in pink, tucked in with heels.
Not tried Hush leather though. Am considering a pair of leather skinnies this winter as I have a faux pair that I love with chunky knits in the winter so if Hush do some and you rate their leather I will give them a try.

Laska5772 · 03/08/2018 21:36

I could see me wearing it with a chunky cowl neck jumper.. maybe in a rusty red? Thick tights and ankle boots..

I think he would prefer fishnets and heels though , but I have to keep reminding him that I am now 60!

Laska5772 · 03/08/2018 21:38

Grey cashmere also sounds good.. Remus .. I do fancy a cowl neckline though .
