never Not sure really .., I suppose I was comparing it to the other Ivy's which have longer sleeves.. ( but then did the leopard Ivy? Ill have to go look -..I havent worn more than once so far this summer as its been too hot ) . .. Ok just looked , the sleeves on the leopard one are shorter but not much less than the others .

Machine just stopped .I'm about to take all out and return one pair of Zoes shorts ( and a couple of other slightly faded already navy things (some Boden 3/4legings and a linen vest) to dye! .Finger crossed !

Cherries What gives with your friends? They are not friends. How horrible. I really do think people get very insecure when they see someone lose weight. DO NOT listen to a word of it.

neveradullmoment99 · 06/08/2018 16:35

Ooooh I am excited for you @Laksa. Can you post a picture?

Laska5772 · 06/08/2018 16:36

FFS cherries you do have some 'friends'!! . That top looks great on you.

I think I do need new friends! DH has been trying to console me by saying it was Glasgow banter and sensitive east coast highlander that I am, I just took it the wrong way. Where as my position is that women don’t make jokes like that unless they intend to hurt. And it did. At the moment, I feel like I might never speak to her again - not really that hard while we are living down here Grin.

neveradullmoment99 · 06/08/2018 16:41

I have few true friends in the sense of the word I have to say. Its sad but over the years I have found 'friends' let you down. I have people I know, people at work, people I go out for coffee with but not true friends like you have at school.
I cannot believe how rude some people are to you. Don't let it chip away at you. I know its hard but don't.

SoyYo · 06/08/2018 16:41

I posted before reading your new post and photos cherries had message on draft and got distracted with work for a while...
First to say I ❤️ The white star wild card shirt and jeans combo on you. Everything else included the Hortensia shirt also looking good.
I never think when I see your photos that you’re particularly big on top and that friend sounds like a really envious one to me! Angry how dare she? I’m cross just reading it so please don’t let it dent your hard won confidence.
You. Look. Fabulous

ilovecherries · 06/08/2018 16:43

Yes, I find Bravissimo a bit, I don’t know, in your face, for work. They DO fit but they accentuate everything somehow. I do look as if I might topple over wearing their clothes!

neveradullmoment99 · 06/08/2018 16:44

Actually cherries, I agree with Soy I have never seen you look really 'booby' on top.

SoyYo · 06/08/2018 16:45

laska hope you like the Fantasie t shirt bra...I think that’s the one you ended up ordering after I recommended? Fingers crossed as my Boden silk shirt recommendation wasn’t good for cherries...I hope this time it will work out!
But as we all know it’s a matter of trial and error

ilovecherries · 06/08/2018 16:47

Thanks everyone. (Sniffle). I nearly posted about it on Friday on the train home, but felt so upset at that point that it felt a bit attention seeking. Glad you all agree she was a rude bitch though ;)

neveradullmoment99 · 06/08/2018 16:50

I have just read it back again and I am so Shock
Even with Glasgow banter, its so very very rude.
I think you should keep your distance.

ilovecherries · 06/08/2018 16:50

I think I don’t look too bad front on. A 3/4 side view is impressive. And I wear good, expensive, well fitted bras and don’t wear overly fitted clothes, which all helps minimise them. I think also although my rib cage is only 32, my frame isn’t particularly small, so they don’t swamp me (too much).

SoyYo · 06/08/2018 16:52

The chat on “friends”...I agree with you cherries. My closest RL girlfriends all date back to my first few years in UK, late teens/early twenties. Before careers, mortgages and kids entered my life. It’s funny but they’re the only ones I’ve kept and grown up with. Some got kids. Some didn’t. Some divorced. Remarried. Some still married to their first love. I can count them with the fingers on one hand and I consider myself very lucky they’re still in my life

dontcallmelen · 06/08/2018 16:53

@ilove I always think you look really lovely, in everything you post pics wearing & yy that cream top really suits you, definitely no milk maid effect going & also I don’t think you appear particularly really large of chest.
Also am really cross, that another woman feels that it is an acceptable way to speak, especially a supposed friend, please try not let it chip away at you, as pp I know it’s not easy 💕

SoyYo · 06/08/2018 16:56

She’s just jealous cherries you rock your clothes and honestly as I said upthread I’m always a bit Confused when you say your bra size and I keep recommending unsuitable bras and shirts because you just don’t look that big!
AND you’ve got a very pretty face!
Not many could get away with the shaved head look. On you= marvellous
Jealousy I’m telling you! Don’t give it another thought!

SoyYo · 06/08/2018 16:58

I remember pics of you in white jeans and a fabulous leopard coat. You rock!

dontcallmelen · 06/08/2018 17:00

@never I know what you mean, I had quite a few what I thought were friends, but when I became ill lots of them dropped off the radar one of my oldest friends of nearly thirty years has ghosted me, used to speak on the phone few times a week met up when we could, not returning calls/txts no acknowledgement of birthday/Xmas cards sent & I have no idea what I have done.

dontcallmelen · 06/08/2018 17:01

Yy the jeans & leopard jacket, that was fab outfit.

Laska5772 · 06/08/2018 17:03

. 'Banter' is often a pseudonym for bullying nastiness in my book..aimed at making make people feel small at the expense of the most often insecure 'banter-er' ( and its often sexist bullying nastiness Ive found ) ..

She is no friend to you cherries just a nasty , horrible , spiteful woman . Was it the same one as last time?

soy no it wasn't . but then I'm now wondering what happened to that order?Im sure I did it ill go back and look.. Oh BTW the Chief technical Officer finally bought a music center over the weekend! I played him Santana on it .. ( he wasn't that impressed by it, but who cares ?, I love it .. )

OP posts:
dontcallmelen · 06/08/2018 17:07

Totally agree with Laska, supposedly innocent words cloaked in nastiness horrible way to behave.

Laska5772 · 06/08/2018 17:09

Aha! i've just looked at my email and the Fantasie t shirt bra is on its way. .. Smile

Good job I never moved up to DH’s land, despite pressure for years from PIL when our DS we’re young.
Much as I love the landscape I don’t think I could have managed the cold...let alone such spiteful banter!
Btw we’ve decided to hasten our own Brexit plans, and we were planning on selling our home next year to make a more or less permanent move to Spain.
Now we have estate agents coming to value our place this week...I’ve had enough of being looked at suspiciously by strangers every time I open my mouth and speak with my very faint foreign accent. They can’t tell where I’m from but they know I’m not “from these parts”...I can ask for a transfer to Paris but we may just cut our losses and do contracting work till pensions kick in. I’m a bit daunted at the prospect as DS will definitely stay put in UK. They’re half Scottish and born here after all, but we’ll probably keep a pied a terre here in England and just go. Shame after 38 years but honestly? I’ve had enough and worried the xenophobes will get worse when Brexit happens and the promised land of milk and honey doesn’t materialise, they’ll just take it out on foreigners.
Anyway rant over. Sorry about that.
Back to fashion.

ilovecherries · 06/08/2018 17:16

No, it was a different woman - one who I actually did think was a friend. The other one was just one of these situations where you end up ‘friends’ with someone just because your kids are inseperable, but doesn’t last past your kids’ independence. I’d never been that fond of her, and she did always tend to have a way of putting people down. More easy for me to shrug off than the one last week.

SoyYo · 06/08/2018 17:18

laska glad the music dilemma is solved! Viva Carlos Santana! 💃💃
Fingers crossed the Fantasie bra works for you!

Sorry sorry about my Brexit rant to all. You’ve never cared I’m foreign and always welcomed me in this thread. I just happen to live in a rural area between Cambridge and Peterborough and it’s a very strong UKIP/Leave area where a lot of locals lost jobs in agriculture to people from the EU so this is why they're so...hostile to foreign accents but I know it’s not representative of my dear friends and the majority of the tolerant British society I’ve lived in and contributed to since 1980
