Ellapaella I got the jeans with the side stars. I got a size 14 though as I am pretty Apple shaped. So the jeans are loose on the legs. But the waist keeps on slipping down and I need a belt!

carr1e1977 · 04/08/2018 14:07

Ella; I think you and I are similar age... the levellers! I was such a huge fan. Saw them at the barrowlands in Glasgow donkey years ago and had forgotten all about that until now Smile I wore purple DMs at school (and every waking minute!) best boots ever. Last year I bought DM shoes and wore with cord pinafore dresses, which got admiring looks from some and questions of why am I dressed like a school girl from others Confused the DM shoes are super comfy and didn’t need broken in. Boots on the other hand are another matter... I think I have 3 pairs in my wardrobe desperate to be worn but needing the effort of being broken in first. Hmmm must get around to it.

I managed to get the Emilie bag from John Lewis yesterday which I think I love but can’t help but wonder if I love it because of the huge reduction. I know someone else on me commented the same. Will have to think about it. I have also ordered loads from hush website so will go through it all and decide what to keep. I have worn my striped Amies and I do love them

neveradullmoment99 · 04/08/2018 14:18

If its any help carrie i had originally ordered tge bag when ther was 10% off when it first camw out. I really like its plain- ness but the original price was tio much. It is also a big bag but good for work. I used ir tbe other day and was pleased.

neveradullmoment99 · 04/08/2018 14:20

But its size means its not for everyone. Sorry about typos. In my phone!

neveradullmoment99 · 04/08/2018 14:30

I got a gorgeous pleated sirt from next today.

neveradullmoment99 · 04/08/2018 14:30

Skirt

carr1e1977 · 04/08/2018 14:34

Never ; I tend to use a backpack for work for all the bits and bobs I need. Will an a4 folder fit in the Emilie do you think? Otherwise I’m more of a small bag or phone in back pocket kind of girl Blush

neveradullmoment99 · 04/08/2018 14:38

Think it fits an A4 pad. Ive not used mine for work yet but usually carry a tesc shopper as i carry jotters there and back and resources.

My skirt for work. Looks great with fine black jumper and my black cleated chunky wedges😀

carr1e1977 · 04/08/2018 14:40

Thanks, I will give it a shot before deciding. I’m laid up with D &V so feeling mighty sorry for myself but gives me a chance to read a book and internet shop Smile

neveradullmoment99 · 04/08/2018 14:40

Its actually really nice in RL. It looks expensive i think.

PorpoisefullyObtuse · 04/08/2018 15:02

I loved that skirt Never!

PrimalLass · 04/08/2018 15:05

How does the shoulder strap attach on the Emilie bag?

Laska5772 · 04/08/2018 15:10

Ok, so the Zoe shorts ar enot the most falttering things but comfy and great o rthe ouse and £12! I am really pleased with the, ( they arrived v creased though. these are the 10 ,(and im a 12 / and even like 14 in shorts for looseness ) so you could size down easily
Tulum shorts are going back, 10 is slightly too small and actually I dont really like the fabric

Seasalt mac is fab! I really love the colour..its a bit 'sticky out' because of how its been folded for packing but I just love it.. This is the Porthchapel in a 12 and generous in size .

The Kellifray mac (which was also a 12 ) was just a bit too small on the bust for me , Luckily i much preferred the Citron anyway

@carr1e1977 I'm 39, born 1979 so going by your user name we must be close in age.
I saw the Levellers in Oxford Town Hall about 2004ish and it's was the best gig I've ever been too. A small venue and we were right up at the front, everybody was on their feet - fantastic atmosphere. Levelling the Land was the album of my teenage years.
You're right of course that the boots need a lot of wear to break them in... I hope I'm prepared for it! Maybe the vegan ones are not so bad...

Ellapaella · 04/08/2018 15:49

Oh and re work bags suitable for laptop etc I'll just leave this here... https://rokalondon.com/products/bantry-b-bag-teal

Ellapaella · 04/08/2018 15:49

Now then @neveradullmoment99 that is a lovely skirt... (sits on hands - mustn't buy)

Laska5772 · 04/08/2018 17:08

I can confirm Zoe shorts are great for the beach.. you know.. I might buy another pair ..

carr1e1977 · 04/08/2018 17:13

Ella; ha yeah I thought so, it’s funny how you can figure out the age of someone based on musical taste and clothes worn as a teen Grin am enjoying listening to levelling the land right now. Classic tunes.

PorpoisefullyObtuse · 04/08/2018 17:32

Love the Mac laska!

Resist the lure of the skirt Ella, it is lovely though.

First outing of the Maxi. It’s quite close here and it’s just perfect!

dontcallmelen · 04/08/2018 18:28

@Laska, the Mac really suits you.
@Porpoise the skirt looks lovely, I’m so envious of all of you being able to wear the maxi skirts, I’m far to short & look like a sack of spuds.
@never that skirt is brilliant, great colours.
@Ella you are the same age as my Ds 😳 crikey I feel sooo old.

Laska5772 · 04/08/2018 18:57

Yup i've bought another pair of those baggy Zoe shorts. I have had them on all day . Went to the beach in them and they are so light and comfy and dont even crease much even after being covered in lots of sea spray then put on damp after swimming and sat in ..!. ..Im dyeing the new pair navy..

Dont care even if they do look baggy and floppy, Can you tell that Laska has had a Campari and soda? Smile
