Never hope the weather cheers up for you.

To be honest it's oppressively hot here. The Med is in the middle of a heatwave ( like it needed one!) but thankfully the villa has a pool so spending a lot of time in there.

Mozzie's are eating me alive too Sad

dontcallmelen · 03/08/2018 22:32

@ilove leather skirts are a classic, no way has that ship sailed for you.

Ellapaella · 03/08/2018 22:33

@DavetheCat2001 I've been hearing all about the heatwave in Spain and Portugal at the moment, hope it's not too hot there in Menorca.
My eldest DS is in Portugal with his Dad's family at the moment and says it's getting a bit too hot, it hit 39 degrees there today apparently!

neveradullmoment99 · 03/08/2018 22:41

Mozzie's are eating me alive too

I so feel your pain Dave They bloody love me. So I came back with a lovely tan and mozzie bites everywhere. Not fair!! and they are so itchy. Try not to scratch them. They go away quicker. I didn't one year and they took ages to go. I haven't ever found anything that works to stop them. Avoid wearing black though. Seemingly attracted to dark colours. Its the blasted females that bite.

neveradullmoment99 · 03/08/2018 22:44

Ella If that's the case they would not fit my feet either. I have quite wide feet. Interesting to know.

Ellapaella · 03/08/2018 22:53

I have unusually wide feet mind - I'm an H!

neveradullmoment99 · 03/08/2018 22:57

I have bunions Blush Hereditary. I have only ever worn sensible clarks shoes as a child.

miffy2 · 03/08/2018 23:02

Quick check-in from Marbella! It’s hit but not too bad. Around 28 today. We stay indoors till late afternoon then go to the pool then off to dinner.

Eaten by mosquitoes but the rest of the family are fine! I got myself a gel from the pharmacy so I’m hoping for some relief.

Tonight I wore my leopard maxi with a vest too from gap. So comfy. Probably could have worn a size smaller but I pre-ordered the 12 what feels like a century ago so I’m keeping it.
I also wore the striped piper yesterday and love it.

I think I that’s all I brought from Hush bar a strapless beach dress from last year and my black Monaco trs. Yet to wear either.

Oh yes. I bought a blue bikini in the sale. Won’t have time to return it as I’m away too long. The colour is divine. The bottoms fit perfectly. The top is a liiiiittle too snug but I’m working on weight loss so it should fit better next summer.

neveradullmoment99 · 03/08/2018 23:10

In case anyone wishes to invest, they are cheaney Olivia boots.

www.cheaney.co.uk/ladies-c49/classic-c81/cheaney-olivia-r-ladies-wingap-brogue-country-boot-in-mahogany-grain-leather-p273

Miffy Hello :) Sounds like a perfect temperature. Funny how you and dave have worn your skirt on the same day. I love the gorgeous colours of the bikinis from hus but am far to conscious of my tummy to wear one. Enjoy your holidays :)

dontcallmelen · 03/08/2018 23:21

@never I think I luffs you, they are beautiful (furtively looking around too see what I can sell😂) being a bit silly here but what does the ‘d’ mean?

dontcallmelen · 03/08/2018 23:34

Omg they do fur lined ones as well, my feet are always freezing in the winter & Covent Garden branch is only 20 minutes on the train!!!

neveradullmoment99 · 03/08/2018 23:36

😂I do love mine. The are a bit of sn invesment. They are si comforable. You could always go and look. Just look mind.....😍😍😍

neveradullmoment99 · 03/08/2018 23:39

I have no idea what the d means. I think you need to take a trip to ask🤣🤣🤣🤣

dontcallmelen · 03/08/2018 23:40

Well, I am up that way next week so no harm in having a little look & maybe try them on for size, definitely am not buying any & keep repeating whilst slapping face with wet fish 😂😂

dontcallmelen · 03/08/2018 23:42

Oh well, definitely have to have a reccy mission, then I can report back as to what the ‘d’ means, all in the in the interest of the collective good of course.

Ellapaella · 03/08/2018 23:46

Is D not referring to the width?

SoyYo · 04/08/2018 00:26

Found you all! Late to check in in true Latin style 💃💃💃💃
Just caught up with your news.
Busy work day then gardening and lovely heat in East Anglia. I ❤️ Summer.
Wore green Santana skirt most of the day (even while gardening/potting geraniums/deadheading roses!) with a plain white linen T and it felt good.
Tomorrow off to North Norfolk coast for the rest of the weekend. Won’t be able to do much walking as ankle still bruised/swollen but slowly getting there...

laska the bf jeans look very very cool on you and glad you like the blue scarf, I think it can double as a pashmina. I also have the pink summer one (did I forget to mention?) and it’s lovely too, also huge 👍
never shame it’s too itchy for you, was going to ask you about leather skirt but won’t anymore Wink ...thread has moved a lot since! Thanks for stopping me wondering about it though...was waiting to ask you as I nearly ordered from Hush.
Love those brogues you’ve linked to!

You’re all thinking Doc Martens and Woolly tights and I want this summer to go on forever 😎

Hola to miffy and dave hope you’re relaxing and don’t let the mossies bite!
Also great to read all the impressions on latest purchases...including cod piece stripy Amies! Grin

You’re all tempting me with the Caro top so stop it! Took 3 Hush parcels to PO to keep 😇 from complete ruin.

Buenas Noches!

SoyYo · 04/08/2018 00:38

Ella you’re quite right D means standard fit width. Which unfortunately means 👎 to you and me kipper footed friend (Blame laska for that Grin name)
I’ll follow your DC “quest” with interest and fully open to enabling.
I own one pair but not leather. DC make but the vegan type and typical DC shape. They’re vegan as the man made fabric is good in wet weather conditions. They’re okay but I wouldn’t say the most comfortable boots I own.
I wear them when I go on the back of DH’s bike, to runs and bike do’s

SoyYo · 04/08/2018 00:39

Doh DM not DC Hmm

dontcallmelen · 04/08/2018 00:44

@ella & SoyYo yes I think you are right, I have quite narrow feet so they might be ok.
Soy as you have sooo good, maybe just a little nudge in the direction of the caro top, it is so pretty, enjoy Norfolk.
@miffy have a fab holiday.

Laska5772 · 04/08/2018 07:22

I want summer to last forever also Soy loving wearing my summer clothes, being on the beach swimming etc..

When we get our campervan (long planned and saved for and was going to be next year but not sure how we will square a sick cat with this now) . I am going to follow the sun..

I couldn't wear Hush in the garden! but ours is more like half a field and surrounded by fields and I'm constantly cutting back bramble and hedge material right now

No way am I thinking about winter boots.. my go to boots are 3 pairs of Clarks national sugar boots ( which look like biker boots and they last made about 4 years ago) . 2 black and one grey and I just keep having them resoled. One day I will find a replacement that is as good..

Daveand Miffy have a great holiday.. Miffy hush let me send sale stuff back after id been away 3 weeks and refunded no prob.. I just emailed them and asked , they were fine about it

Soy does your DH ever join any 'round the Island* motorbike runs? We always seem to have people coming over to do it.. (if he does, hop on the back and contact me I know a great place for lunch and a few nice places to buy lovely stuff (like the those from the Spanish Yerse brand I linked to in the last thread) ... Wink

Laska5772 · 04/08/2018 07:41

I also have some Dubarrys (the Kildare as prefer calf length always ) and they are fab during the winter.esp for walking in (and gardening!, see I dont respect stuff at all ) mine are so old now though... probably about 10 years old, but looking even better for that ,.

Right enough talk of winter boots! Its already warm here and going to be another scorcher here.. I'm off to put on shorts and a vest top ( and maybe a Bay dress later on .. Grin..

Stock has replenished a little this morning. I just ordered the black leather bag and the frayed star jeans in a 12. Already have the 10 en route but they won't fit.

SoyYo · 04/08/2018 09:15

Morning! Getting ready for our beach weekend (it’s only an hours drive/staying overnight).
laska I have fond memories of many runs with DH in the IoW (and one summer when DS were small) so if it ever comes up again I would let you know, thank you! In fact this weekend we have another biker “party” with band/etc but with my busted foot DH is leaving the beast at home and as it’s not far from where we’re staying on the Norfolk coast and we know the crowd well we may have a wonder over this evening...in the car which is bound to make us the butt of the evenings jokes!
I was a bit naughty not taking Santana off for gardening but I was so comfy in it! I was only planting pots though and left DH to tackle the brambles (yes we get those too)
melen i may, just may, have a final look in the Hush sale once I’m settled at the beach 😎
Have a wonderful weekend whatever you’re up to! I’ll make the most of mine as next Friday I’ll be on another long haul flight to BA with work 👋👋👋
