My husband says those letters were the bane of his life as a kid after a teacher pointed it out but my kids have never had a problem.

enabledlurker · 13/08/2018 15:22

Soythe Neve looked lovely on you with the scarf and I love those shoes. My problem is my horrid knees.I am 5.8 so they will be on show but they aren't too bad from a (long)distanceGrin

Laska5772 · 13/08/2018 15:33

looking at the new prshots dark animal print ivy. I am now thinking maybe i could dye my leopard one , if its not too dark the print will still show through.. Its worth a go , Yes?... Better than selling for a small amount i suppose. I've decided that its just 'too much ' as it is..

Also has anyone who has the Yellow Love sweat , had theirs fade really badly and stretch?. i have just got it out of cupboard to wear and .. Im really very disappointed in how its has gone ..faded and baggy ( I know i am a lot smaller but it was an M )

My yellow sweat is huge on me, but I thought it was down to me, not it. Mine was a large though. In fact, just been trying on all my sweatshirts (yellow love/pink puff sleeve/blue ombré/green love heart tattoo and every single one is too big. They are a mix of L and M. My felix dresses are also too big, as is the grey puff sleeve tunic and the Erin trousers. I’m not going to start ebaying again till after my holidays, but there is a lot to go.

Laska5772 · 13/08/2018 16:02

I bought the green Tattoo sweat again in the sale in a S , I just loved it, but split silver dip on but the old one has stretched /ive hot smaller also

Oh it's gorgeous but I think it would be too big Sad
So does it come in two parts with an 'overdress'? I'm usually an 8 in hush, do you reckon I could have it altered?

Missbobbins · 13/08/2018 17:22

Not long back rom work. Love the cara cardigan cherries. Def a keeperSmile

ilovecherries · 13/08/2018 17:59

That really is a beautiful dress, laska.

So...I am still wittering on about the Ivy. I have two from last winter with 3/4 sleeves that I rarely wore as was freezing in them. They do look nice with 100 denier tights and black trainers but my arms were still cold. Do you wear a cardigan with them? I tried an M&S thermal tee underneath, but it looks all wrong at the neckline. Actually 3/4 sleeves were the problem with the Felix dresses as well. Why can’t you get decent sleeves on winter dresses?

neveradullmoment99 · 13/08/2018 18:10

I wear cadhmere cardigans over them. Also a little slip and i would wear leggings and boots. I like the ivy.

Laska5772 · 13/08/2018 18:11

cherries I wore silk thermal under ( in our freezing office ) this sort with scoop neck and pushed up sleeve and cashmere cardi over if needed! and leggings

Worked for me and i get really cold in our office ( minimal heating as public sector ) ..

OP posts:
Talisin · 13/08/2018 18:16

Cherries I tend to wear a Uniqlo heat tech top with a scoop neck underneath the Ivy and the Felix

ilovecherries · 13/08/2018 18:30

So - things underneath - do they have sleeves? The neck is the problem for me, because even scoop necks seem to show at the sides. Cropped cardis? Boyfriend’s? The dress is so comfy I want to make it work but nothing I’m trying is looking right. Before I buy one in midnight tomorrow Blush I need to sort out how to wear the thing.

neveradullmoment99 · 13/08/2018 18:44

It doesn't matter to me if a neckline shows a little tbh. I tend to wear a slip with spaghetti straps or a longline vest [good if you are wearing leggings. You could also pop a white shirt under it I suppose and have the collar peeking through.

neveradullmoment99 · 13/08/2018 18:46

When its freezing you could also pop a long sleeved tee under it and have the long sleeves peeping through the short ones. Kind of layering look with leggings/thick wintry tights and boots.

neveradullmoment99 · 13/08/2018 18:47

If I were to do that I would be inclined to opt for a neat black long sleeved tee with a scoop neck. If the neckline shows a little or it follows the line of the dress, it doesn't matter. Then wear black tights/boots and a nice chunky pendant.

Talisin · 13/08/2018 18:47

I tend to go for a contrast if I can’t get an exact colour match. I have a dark green Ivy and wear a black long sleeve heat tech top under it so the sleeves show and either side of the neck as well. Looks nice. With the maroon Felix I have a top that exact colour so it’s hardly noticable.

neveradullmoment99 · 13/08/2018 18:48

With that dress I would wear a long black bf cardigan. Not longer than the dress though but slightly shorter.
