Also meant to say that discovered after swishing about in the block colour skirt that it magnetised itself to my legs with static. I can be quite a staticy person, if there is such a thing, so others may not have that issue. But the underskirt was wrapped up round my bum and the skirt was clinging to me.

Theonlyoneiknow · 13/08/2018 11:41

I have the Neve dress enabledlurker it is definitely very dark blue and not black. I really like it.

ilovecherries · 13/08/2018 11:50

And finally, the s/s washed black Ivy, in medium, which I think will go back but open to enablement. Tbh, I like Ivy in theory, but in practice I don’t know how to wear them. Too short for bare legs in summer, yet not really warm enough for winter because they are quite thin and either have short or elbow sleeves. I also have the puff sleeve tunic in a similar colour which I wore a lot in the early spring and will wear again in autumn. So...what do you think?

Oh, and pleased with myself as I found a pair of white leather reebok classic on ASOS. I’ve worn my silver ones to death and have been looking for white trainers for holidays for ages. The toe box is deep enough for my orthotics so I’m dead chuffed, because most shoes aren’t.

dontcallmelen · 13/08/2018 12:28

@ilove really like the lemon jacket very pretty, I think the jeans look a bit big & wonder would they get even looser after wearing a while, would definitely order a 10 for comparison, not sure about the colour blocked skirt, but I’m not the best to give advice on long skirts, as I never wear them, I’m far to short, the Ivy dress I like & you could style it with opaque tights/boots/scarf combo when it gets colder & at the risk of sounding like my mum, you could wear a vest under it😃

Laska5772 · 13/08/2018 12:48

I love the yellow jacket on you cherries also yes i think definately try the 10 in the BF jeans ..
Right I have decided not ordering the Amies and I really do need to have a cull of my stuff. I am no longer working 5 days a week and i have far too many clothes . Also as my life style is changing , i'm going ot be getting rid of stuff . I do know that I will want to probably get some of the new AW things , but I need to buy for the life I live not my fantasy life!

Anyway first off to go are gong to be My green Marissa dress ( size 10 , worn once) and my leopard Ivy size Small also worn once . Im really thinking these were a mistake for me . . but before I ebay then does anyone here want to buy them off me ?
Pm me if you do . Happy to sell them for a really good price to fellow Hushistas Wink

I am also going to sell my Giselle maxi dress, the one with the star shift and gauzy black over shift, Nice , but then hardly ever worn

cherries the lemon cara looks great on you and the jeans are worth a try in a 10 but the 12 also don’t look too huge I think it’s the bf style.
Shame about the pleated skirt. But you know now it’s not for you, I can’t see the back view but from the front it looks good on you. I’m now worried about static on mine!

If the three photos the only one I’m not sure about is the Ivy...it’s a very casual loose style, as you say would you wear enough in AW? Do you feel good in it?

Laska5772 · 13/08/2018 12:51

not keen on the pleated midi skirt I'm afraid, but glad to hear they are all over the place this A?W as I also have some to ebay!
Ivy? its ok on you but I think always they look better with leggings,

I need to go and work out how to set up a facebook account withougt having to have all the stuff and 'friends' ( as id like to get access to the Hush selling group) .

enabledlurker i ordered but returned the Neve. Really liked it but it didn’t like me due to norkage, it’s a bargain in the sale.
I could have kept but felt it didn’t do me any favours/needed a lot of styling to make it okay, with smaller norkage it would definitely have been a keeper for me, see attached.
The pinstripe/navy combo make it great as a smart casual work dress.

laska easy to set up FB account without even a profile pic. I also lie about my birth date on it as it’s personal info I wouldn’t like hacked (I went for 1914 as my birth year and it didn’t mind). You’ll see privacy settings that allow you to keep your account entirely private.

Now you are all making me doubt my like all the Hush pleated skirt Wink

ilovecherries · 13/08/2018 13:04

Yes, change your dob, although it’s confusing when I get all the ‘happy birthday’ messages on Xmas day (not my real birthday!)

dontcallmelen · 13/08/2018 13:08

@Laska I’m with you, I so need too buy for my life as it is now not my fantasy life, I really need to cull my clothes/buying I opened my wardrobe yesterday & it’s literally heaving with smart things & “going out stuff” the reality of my life is very different.

enabledlurker · 13/08/2018 13:09

Thanks(the only one)-nearly called you the one and only,Chesney Hawkes was on tv earlier. It has fallen into my bag with the navy trainers, woops!

Laska5772 · 13/08/2018 13:29

Yay! The black frayed denim shorts in 12 are a perfect fit ! (so happy ad thanks to everyone here who pointed them out ans esp .soy.. I do hope yours fit you )

Navy Brigitte jumper is a real bargain at the extra 10% off so am not regretting I sent it back only a week or so ago and re-ordered. .I wore the grey one all day yesterday and its fab .

Hibiscus V slub in M also fine, I am now wondering why i ordered all my others in L? .. Hmm . Am sending back the black, charcoal and grey ones , now (not reordering those again ATM as i had those on a code) but I may reorder the blue in M now.

@Laska my green Marissa top is now on eBay and I have also listed my yellow sloppy joe as I don't wear it and the colour isn't for me.

I may well sell the Marissa dress too..just not me.

SoyYo · 13/08/2018 13:37

Yeay laska very pleased for you.
I’m only starting work now as my Skype sessions don’t start till 7pm tonight.
I did wonder why you were ordering slub T’s in L, just assumed you liked them really baggy...I find M really roomy too.
We will see if the 10’s fit...no parcel yet. If they don’t I won’t be too heart broken, I’ve spent enough on Hush lately!

Laska5772 · 13/08/2018 13:40

Do you have to use your real name on Facebook? How do they check it
DH and I were thinking of a joint account , ( so we can keep up with family abroad , but using our ( different ) surnames put together it does sound like a 'prope'r firstname/surname .

Laska5772 · 13/08/2018 13:46

Yeah, soy I suppose I'm just used to wearing them big and they are fine like that still , its just as the hibiscus one grew so much I rethought .. , but like cherries i have to get used to having lost weight - 2st this year ( and hopefully still counting down .) . I have the green in l also ( and not worn..) . Am wearing the blue now, (with my new shorts!) .. that one has kept to the same size so far..

I'll have a look Dave did you start off low?

OP posts:
Laska5772 · 13/08/2018 13:49

I've just re-tried on my dark Boyfriends and I couldn't get into a 10 .. Maybe next year!

No star shorts appeared this morning. I suppose that was the last chance.. but the ones i have are fine.. I was just thinking ahead!

DavetheCat2001 · 13/08/2018 13:57

£20 ..someone has already made me an offer for £20, but I'm going to let the auction run I think.

SoyYo · 13/08/2018 14:10

laska on FB name not really sure, I think you can enter a “fake name” if you prefer not to use the RL one

SoyYo · 13/08/2018 14:15

Well done on 2 stone weight loss! That’s really impressive, I’m 10.3 stone at the mo which is just within my healthy BMI but really too heavy considering I managed to be a few lb below 10 st for the previous 2 years. Ideal weight for my height/age is around 9 1/2 but can I shift that half stone and a bit? Nope!
And no chance now I’m not able to move very far for weeks on end. I’m just going to concentrate on maintaining till I can move again Sad

Laska5772 · 13/08/2018 14:28

.. I am wearing the green slub now having spilled really hot coffee all down my blue. and burnt my tongue at the same time HmmSad

Right now to the post office with more Hush returns .. Does anyone else get slightly embarrassed doing this? They know me so well !.

OP posts:
Laska5772 · 13/08/2018 14:30

Thanks soy I have lost this weight twice before! This has to be for the last time!...... Especially as I have an expensive clothes habit now..

FB won’t let me use my married name - those of you here who know me in RL know me by my own name, which I use for biz. There are two reasons apparently. 1) it sounds like a public utility therefore can’t have a profile, and 2) buried in the middle of it - it’s a longish name - are a number of consecutive letters which spell a rude word and they don’t allow ‘profanity’. They did go through a period of randomly asking you to verify your name but I think it’s done by bot so as long as you don’t use anything they deem unusual it will probably be fine.
