22nd sounds ok for me for a MU too!

I did try on ‘the’ dress the other day. I didn’t purchase as was a bit unsure. It is pretty with amazing attention to detail. It fitted nice too bui I just wasn’t sure if it was ‘me’and I didn’t want to make a pressured in store purchase. I didn’t like the staff in the D&G store. I thought they were a bit lazy and disinterested. There was also a bit of patronising air about them. Here’s a photo of the dress on.

3 pairs of gigis does sound a lot dry! Will you really wear them all or could you put up with just one pair? Shame about the 5 duff tops. Those £30 purchases do add up when there are several of them.

Had a great picnic and prosecco in the park with friends the other night. BBB even made an appearance. Felt slightly delicate the next day though .

I spy the BBB Everyone! The dress looks lovely but I think you need to be head over heels for it, at that price? Shame about the staff, you can see why they get a reputation for it in some of these shops.

kitty today is the day, but also most likely not the day and of course the temperature is back up to 32 degrees...

I will have to decline the Sept MU, but if we can do another pre-Christmas I'd love to see if I can make that one :)

Everyone I’d expect tap dancing cs (not really but a bit of effort) for a D&G dress, how lazy and annoying they were like that. Stuff them.

It’s a bit hard to see on my smashed phone but it looks lovely with your hair and colouring but I’m not sure about the top frill

Lib hello glad to see you back have been wondering how you’re doing, I sent that beautiful GV back. It was so, so pretty but I’m not really a romantic top and jeans person so had to be strong. I am very much on the look out for a print like that, but maybe a dress version

On the fence with this one Theory cashmere I actually sent the Markus Lupfer one back as the shape was wrong, although I loved the red and pink this is a far better shape for me. But it's totally see-through, how do you deal with that?

And these on sale from NaP Mansur G suede flats. But they are too small dammit. They say small to size but for some reason I ignored it. Will have to send them back sadly

Plus this Place National dress which is going back. Still would like a white dress though!

Marsha I gasped with ‘yes’ I can totally see you in all of the keepers. Shame about the shoes. No to that dress. For the Theory top you need a nude vest from m&S or GAP. Hang on.

Kitty I'm good thanks - work is very busy but I'm settling in and starting to feel like I vaguely know what I'm doing. I had hoped to perhaps have an easier work life when we moved but when I applied for lower level jobs I wasn't getting interviews and the feedback was that I was overqualified etc. Job I am in is great in that it's really interesting and I'm working with some great people. But it's incredibly full on and at the moment my employer isn't prepared to consider part-time / job share options so I think I'm going to have to suck it up for a couple of years.

I have those dune sandals in tan - absolutely love them, they've barely been off my feet this summer. I was rather hoping they may go into the sale as would also like them in black but no chance if they're all over insta

Nice buys Marsha; love everything except the dress which you're returning. Hat is a nice shape, perfect for wafting about the Italian countryside.

I agree Kitty M&S have some great shoes atm; I have my eye on a pair for winter but am waiting on a discount code - there must be one due soon I think. Funnily enough, apart from on holiday, I've not worn my gigi's much this summer.

Everyone I think the dress looks stunning but you don’t seem sure, have a good think and if you do decide to go for it do it online so you’re protected for returns (and to spite them, ‘big mistake, huge!)

Everyone that is a beautiful dress and it looks good on you. But you have to truly LOVE such a purchase and it sounds like you have may have some lingering doubt.

Lib new ft work is a tough gig. You have achieved a lot in the last 12 months.

Someone upthread asked about the J Crew leopard cover up. It is sheer but not transperant. Very thin cotton. It’s a keeper for me

Thanks for the comments re ‘the dress’. I did like it, but wasn’t sure if I loved it and didn’t want to make an expensive rash in store purchase. Especially as I didn’t like the store staff.
