ellapaella It's very generous. I have the XS and it is a bit baggy but I thinks that's what I like about it. I have got very narrow shoulders as well. If the grey is in the sale I'll definitely be buying one

dontcallmelen · 10/06/2018 19:22

@neveradullmoment99 I hope all goes well with your Mum tomorrow 💐

neveradullmoment99 · 10/06/2018 19:48

Thank you so much dontcallmelen xx

I just popped on to the thread to say if you like the leopard version of Woodstock's (not called Woodstock, look the same but are more expensive) I've just seen these on dune reduced to £36

I've ordered the Woodstock's and these too Smile

I hope everything goes ok for your mum tomorrow, Never. My mum had bowel cancer at 78 (and is now a very healthy 85 year old, so she was very fortunate). Tough time though.

neveradullmoment99 · 10/06/2018 23:29

Thank you Cherries xx

My mum is pretty old so its always a worry. She is 83. Its good to hear similar stories with a happy outcome :)

Eye cat eye glasses from Boden. What do you think? They feel as if they are overwhelming me a little - but might just be because it’s a style/colour I don’t normally wear.

neveradullmoment99 · 11/06/2018 10:45

They look good cherries. Is that a boden dress too? I recognise the print. Gorgeous blue skies where you are. A bit dull here.

Yes, it is, bought it in the 25pc off. It is a lovely day here today, rained overnight but warm again.

Ellapaella · 11/06/2018 12:03

They're great cherries - look good on you.
My Santana skirt has arrived - it's in good condition and doesn't look like it's been worn before so all good. I'm going to wear it after I've given the kids lunch, nice sunny weather for it today.

MrsPeacockDidIt · 11/06/2018 12:31

i think the sunglasses look great. I try to mix it up a bit with sunglasses so have a few different shapes.

Another little hush delivery here this morning. The monoca trousers which i LOVE. I also ordered a grey cotton jumper which @ellapaella recommended in another thread about summer jumpers. Sadly it hangs straight down from my 38F boobs without coming in so it will have to be returned. A lilac v neck tshirt to add to my collection, it goes well with the grey monaco trousers but not sure if it's a bit pale for me as i'm a HOC Blue spring.

I've been wearing my woodstocks over the last week and they still seem a bit heavy and make my legs ache a bit. Anyone else have this to begin with ?

ilovecherries · 11/06/2018 12:44

At shameless boast and a sartorial question.

  1. I have a thigh gap! Sadly the thighs on the sides of it are not of the standard they were when this phenomena was last spotted in 1987, but even so - it’s a proper, unmistakeable gap between my knickers and my knees. I will spare you the picture. Grin

  2. Boden Richmonds. For years they were my go-to trousers, as I deluded myself that they made me look smarter, or something. I used to wear the full length ones with flat shoes, a Ravello top and a cardigan Now I can fit into a size 12, I decided to have a pair of 7/8 but I’m a bit puzzled about how to style them - I am never again buying another Ravello top but the style of trouser IS quite smart for meetings etc so I’d like to crack this one.

ilovecherries · 11/06/2018 12:51

I’m the same with the boxy knit jumpers, mrs. I’m 32K and I need to ensure everything either has some shaping through the waist, or will stand a half tuck, otherwise I look desperate.

neveradullmoment99 · 11/06/2018 12:57

I've still to receive mine but I am planning to wear them with my chunky sandals and perhaps the simple vest that laska suggested from M&S. Since it was the navy pollen print, the navy vest top.

Cherries I love the Richmond trousers, I just wouldn't have much occasion to wear them as I have to wear a uniform at work. I would style them with something more fitted on top, nothing loose or baggy. So a fine knit merino v neck jumper? Or a thin blouse tucked in at the waist? I had to look up the Ravello top, there's lots of love for it here on mumsnet and I've heard it mentioned a lot. It's nice but seems a bit shapeless.
Congratulations on your thigh gap! SmileThanks

neveradullmoment99 · 11/06/2018 12:59

I personally would steer clear from anything like loafers with them. I think they would look a bit frumpy.
Any type of flat sandal would probably work fine.

[cause I know you have issues with your feet :)]

ilovecherries · 11/06/2018 13:35

Mine are just plain navy (baby steps).

Is you mum out of theatre yet, never?

Ellapaella · 11/06/2018 13:38

Santana skirt.. dressed down and dressed up. I love it. I’ve also got a pair of sandals the same colour with a small kitten heel that look good with it for evenings out. So pleased with this although I’m not sure it’s so practical for running round with dc so I imajen it’ll be more weekend and evening out wear for me. Thanks Never for the tip off or I’d have missed out!

And with black v neck silky top (the one I was walking you about cherries from H & M). And I decided to tie a knot in the white t shirt that I have I with it today and think it looks alright!

Looks lovely ella!

neveradullmoment99 · 11/06/2018 13:54

Looks fantastic Ella. I really like it with the black vest top :)
Cherries My mum is just up from recovery room and she is just sleeping off the anaesthetic so it looks like she is fine. I am at home so they have said that she will sleep for a good hour or so, so will go back up at around 3pm to see how she is and hopefully she will get home tonight if she is up to it. Relieved that the operation is over. Thanks for asking :)

Imagine not imajen! I don't know where iPhone gets it autocorrect from! Thanks Dave - I'm super pleased with this. I never would have seen myself wearing a midi skirt this time last year, this year has been a bit of a style overhaul for me.
Never hope all goes well for your Mum today Thanks
