Right first impressions
Keeping Santana skirt in green, love the satiny cool fabric and pockets.
Pleasantly surprised at how flattering the black t shirt maxi is, considering I’m nearly 1 stone above ideal weight, it manages to skim bumps rather than cling and covers bra straps, very fine modal jersey cotton styled in attached with my mafiosi sunglasses and not a lot else (please forgive the mad witch hair, haven’t washed curls in 2 days and they go very frizzy on day 3)

Black skirt with gold threads is lovely fabric but it reminds me too much of Indian market stall skirts I wore in my very bohemian youth, I don’t think it flatters that much as it’s a bit puffy and I have other boho skirts in black already so it’s going back (I think) otherwise I’ll end up cultivating Greek widow look all summer.

I think you can all see the starry bag on the chair, it goes really well with maxi and being so big it’s a perfect beach bag but I’m not so sure it’s worth the money even with the discount...🤔mmmm

I agree about the black skirt but I kind of like that about it. Its not overly expensive. I also think you are right. Not sure its that flattering.

And inspired by ella remark on previous thread the Santana styled simply with white t and denim jacket (sans trainers), feels super relaxed

Yes never I kind of like it but I’ll return as right now can do without adding bulk to my podginess but it is a super easy skirt to wear and the little gold threads do elevate it so you can easily dress up or down

Looks great with denim and white tee. Sporting woodstock sandals too

The thing about the beach bag is that you can get so many of them Soyo in other shops. Even ones with stars. I saw one in Matalan that looked almost identical to the one that Hush had last year!

I wouldn't of course wear the green with the red tee. Bloody horrible but I cba to change!

Just do you see what I mean never on the black skirt, I think you need to be a size smaller to carry it off which you are so I’m sure it’ll be fab on a size 10 or below.
You need to tuck in the t shirt as it’s too puffy to wear a top loose on top (iMHO) and with the denim jacket I can just get away with it but on its own with a black t tucked in on me it’s really not flattering at all when you compare it to the Santana...I agree it’s good value as it’s also nicely lined.
Oh well it does keep me motivated to lose the weight when I post all these unflattering pics

Yes agree on the bag, it’s going back and may buy again if vastly reduced at sale price you’re right I can pick up similar for £20 or less.
In fact that’s what I did with the denim jacket as wanted a shirt fitted one but was gobsmacked at Hush price so the one I’m wearing is New Look and only £25 it fits my petite frame really well as it’s very cropped and soft denim

Hush experts - what is the difference between the Harem and Monaco pants? Which do you recommend. Both review say they come up short so if consensus is for harem at 5’7 do I need extra long? Also as a 10/12 should I get small or medium?

Hi Guif you’re tall the Monaco trousers may be too short as they’re right on my ankle and I’m just under 5’4” if you decide to try go for a 10 or 8 as Hush is renowned for its vanity sizing.
For the harems you can easily get away with XS, and the long version will be fine

You don't need to tuck in if you have a nice silk top that just falls over the top. I have a camisole that would do the job but the vest that Laska linked too looks great. It was the one from M&S @£15

@Gurraun the Monaco trousers are super short! If you are any taller than 5'5 they will disappear half way up your leg.

Yes, I think I will keep both the green and the black. I love the threads through it. It reminds me of my boho days.

never you’re too hard on yourself you are slim and doubt your tummy is that big, when I tried it untucked I just looked like a teletubby and I do have a fat tummy too (that’s where all my surplus fat goes!).
On the pic untucked it still looks good on you so I imagine it looking even better tucked but you need to feel good so wearing it as in pic does look sleek if that’s how you prefer to wear it 👍

Yes never I’ll investigate those M&S silky vests when I’m out at the shops on Saturday as they do look super useful for disguising lumps and bumps (thanks to laska for the tip 😊)
