I think they're nice op, I'm not 100% on the eyelets but they are fine. They are a lot nicer than any fitflops, I think fitflops look very frumpy. I quite like birkenstocks but they are not that comfy.

ScrubTheDecks · 03/06/2018 08:30

The shops are full of tan sandals with wide straps and either chunky buckles or eyelets.

So they must be fashionable atm.

I don’t like them though. Unless they are really classy.

ScrubTheDecks · 03/06/2018 08:31

Fitflops are truly ugly, IMO.

Auntpetunia2015 · 03/06/2018 08:40

Well the 20 something’s I work with wear them in black with leggings and skinny jeans !

SwedishEdith · 03/06/2018 09:47

I think Saltwaters are pretty as well but they're way too flat for any serious walking which is what they often get recommended for.

Skyejuly · 03/06/2018 10:00

I Don't think they are that bad.

inthekitchensink · 03/06/2018 10:06

I really like them! I’m going to get a pair, thanks for the link. Love the colour, the eyelets and the soles look so comfy.

Bejazzled · 03/06/2018 12:01

What shoes on UK holiday chasing after children? “ or “AIBU to want feet without blisters yet not look 90?”

This is the main point isn't it. There is nothing worse than blisters/sharp rubbing on holiday (or any other part of normal life)

So for those purposes your linked Sandals will be ideal.

woodhill · 03/06/2018 12:46

Anyone know how fit flops come up. I have slim feet and my feet ache underneath a lot

woodhill · 03/06/2018 12:50

Would you not rather wear leather sandals?

madcatladyforever · 03/06/2018 12:53

I;m almost 60 and I would refuse to wear them.

3dogsandcounting · 03/06/2018 12:56

MrsJacksonBrodie, what a shitty thing to say. People don’t suffer from blindness, they are blind. It also doesn’t mean they are void of any fashion sense.

Candlelight123 · 03/06/2018 13:02

I'm starting to realise there's some real sandal snobbery due to this thread! I fear I have been desperately unfashionable in my birkies, fit flops and Clarks sandals Grin

HeyDolly · 03/06/2018 13:56

woodhill they are leather

goose1964 · 03/06/2018 15:43

Actually I think they're inoffensive not bad but not good either ,the sort of thing no-one pays attention to.

happypoobum · 03/06/2018 16:20

I am in my fifties and wouldn't be seen dead in them, sorry.

ScrubTheDecks · 03/06/2018 16:57

People either like Birkies as classics or they don’t.

Just because someone / people don’t like something doesn’t mean it isn’t fashionable and vice versa.

I have just been sandal shopping: apart from Birkies (which I like, but have many) everything is either pretty, dainty and impractical, or not very attractive.

SwedishEdith · 03/06/2018 17:12

I'd (genuinely) love to see what the "wouldn't be seen dead in them"s wear.

happypoobum · 03/06/2018 18:07

Swedish I wear black sandals from Cos similar to these. I have these tan ones from Next

OP wanted views, not just for everyone to agree with her!

Could these sandals be ok ever?
happypoobum · 03/06/2018 18:09

Also wear Arizonas Grin Don't care if people don't like them!

SwedishEdith · 03/06/2018 18:23

Thanks. I'd put your Next ones and the OP's ones in the same ballpark, tbh.

woodhill · 03/06/2018 18:39

Excellent price then Dolly

Patienceofatoddler · 03/06/2018 18:46

I wouldn't wear them - abit chunky.

But then I wear tan Saltwaters Blush so going by this thread have no taste what so ever anyway Wink

Gwenhwyfar · 03/06/2018 18:48

I think they're fine. Not the prettiest ever, but taking comfort into account, not the ugliest either.

happypoobum · 03/06/2018 19:21

But that's the point of these threads swedish. It's style and beauty, not AIBU Smile

We all have different taste. I think my Next ones are lovely and nothing like the OPs. Does it really matter?
