I think the white sole makes them look modern and non-grannyish. Not too keen on the eyelets but they wouldn't put me off if otherwise comfy etc. Def wear with jeans and a t-shirt, not floral monstrosity!

IwankaTramp · 02/06/2018 23:55

I have the same issue with foot pain and I find Fly London Tram painless and flattering. I bought the scarlet ones. They have a low wedge so take pressure off the heel and are cushioned.

IwankaTramp · 03/06/2018 00:01

‘Cuse Jamas and all that.....

Could these sandals be ok ever?

Fly London are super comfy. I have just ordered a pair of wedges. I love Fly London shoes/boots/sandals.

Bejazzled · 03/06/2018 00:07

They're hardly the worst thing ever posted on here! If you like them , wear them.

But that is the biggest link I have ever seen in my life!

AnnieAnoniMouser · 03/06/2018 00:15

I loathe and detest sandals.

...but they’re not as bad as many I’ve seen. They’re £16, comfy and you’re run running around after the kids, not on the red carpet, why worry?

SwedishEdith · 03/06/2018 00:16

These?

AnnieAnoniMouser · 03/06/2018 00:16

Frankly, I’m, i think diatonic gladiator fitflops are WAY uglier...and many times the cost.

TattyFrench · 03/06/2018 00:18

I don't like them but I don't like much. I also don't care if other people don't like the few things I do like.

Just wear them if you like them but wear them proudly. It's not what you wear, it's how you wear it.

How about a nice pair of Crocs? 😁 They'll Dave you getting stung by a weever fish.

ThenCameTheFools · 03/06/2018 00:19

It's definitely more to do with the feet that go in.them I think. Saltwaters are foul, and look like a 4 yr old would wear them, yet the pic above with the white ones does make them look OK.

I've never seen Birkenstocks look good on anyone though. The people in them tend to also be in tie-die and be on their way to Glastonbury with a tent mind you.

I don't like the eyelets on the Tu ones, but Saltwater and Birkies would be further down the style chain for me.

marmiteloversunite · 03/06/2018 02:25

They are £16 and comfortable. If they get ruined on holiday it's not the end of the world. Keep them.

hausenberger · 03/06/2018 02:44

I just bought these and they're comfy!

No

MagicFajita · 03/06/2018 04:43

I wouldn't say that I like them but I've seen expensive branded sandals that look very similar.

BarbaraOcumbungles · 03/06/2018 04:56

I quite like them tbh, one looked at them myself but I wish they’d left the eyelets off!

Those saltwater sandles are ugly as sin though, don’t buy them for goodness sake. They’re toddlers shoes.

BarbaraWarpecker · 03/06/2018 05:49

They're fine! I wouldn't rush up to you in the street and ask to know where you got them but they look like a classic tan flat sandal that you could wear all summer. And if they are real leather and comfortable, then at 16 quid, they are a fifth the price of Fitflops.
As PPs have said, a good pedicure and unfrumpy clothes required... but that's probably true of any sandals....

HeyDolly · 03/06/2018 06:06

They are a lot less fugly than Birkies.

I think it depends on the rest of your ‘look’ and what you’ll wear them with. The white sole makes them quite current

oohyoudevilyou · 03/06/2018 07:37

If you're one of those tall, thin quirky-looking women (think Elizabeth DeBicki), they'd look wonderful. If you're stout, solid of leg and most of your wardrobe is from supermarkets (like me Blush), not so great. The £16 price tag, however, would persuade me to overlook that fact Smile

pigpoglet · 03/06/2018 08:16

I bought some similar without the eyelets from Matalan . They are super duper comfy and shoes right they look good .

CountFosco · 03/06/2018 08:17

I am disappointed, after the first comment I was expecting to see these. I think they look good, bit of a flatform (which I love) and the eyelet detail is all over the catwalk. But I love my birkies and saltwaters so make of that what you will. Just don't buy the floral playsuit.

pigpoglet · 03/06/2018 08:18

Styled not shoes

Griefbacon · 03/06/2018 08:21

I’m so proud to have such s long thread! Sorry about long link- how the devil does one make it short on the app?
I think the FitFlop ones are nice but I still think they have potential for old lady look depending on what they’re worn with. I don’t really do floral. Would be more jeans and vests on this holiday. I also bought some rose gold espadrilles yesterday because they were cheap and sparkly. I need help! Grin
Should I post those too? I did laugh heartily at myself in the denim shorts however and shall be getting short shorts for camping. I look fecking hideous in knee length.

OP posts:
Fairylea · 03/06/2018 08:23

I don’t understand the hate saltwater sandals get on here. I think they’re pretty. Much nicer than a lot of the horrible jewelled flip flops type things I see people wearing around here that look super uncomfortable!

I think sandals that fit people’s feet properly and that are comfortable can never look awful to be honest. Even birkis can look really lovely and fashionable with the right outfit.

Justgimmeit · 03/06/2018 08:29

I like them. I saw them in Sainsbury's the other day but they didn't have my size. I was thinking to wear with my ripped jeans and a plain t
