cherries how did you get on with the short jackets you ordered from hush in the sale? The pink ones? Did they work out for you?

user1487671808 · 04/05/2018 08:01

I bought the grey and silver star t shirt last week in JL and wearing it today for the first time. I absolutely love it and now want lots of other ones but they are so expensive for a t shirt. Been looking on eBay but they seem to hold their value really well. Bought a small and it’s quite a loose fit. I love it with my harems which I wear lowslung as I’m quite tall, it’s long enough to hide my tum but not too long. I need more Hush in my life! I’ve never cared about clothes before how weird is this and when I’m about to hid the half century.

user1487671808 · 04/05/2018 08:05

Me again - most of the t shirts on eBay are medium- arethese much bigger than small? Hush sizing is so variable I never quite know what to order.

ilovecherries · 04/05/2018 08:14

never. I kept both jackets. The pink was more a structured cardigan and the navy Ikat was more jacket like. I would have sent both back at full price but by the time I bought them they were half price so worth it for summer workwear. The pink had quite heavy 80s shoulder pads, so I took them out but it is needing something just to lift the shoulders so I've bought a much softer, smaller set that I will put in at the weekend.

neveradullmoment99 · 04/05/2018 08:31

They will be too big for you user I am a 10/12 and I wear the small. Its just a nice fit. They also tend to get a bit looser with washing. Always worth considering. I have considered the xs but don't like things tight around my middle as that is where I sport my weight really.
Cherries I love both the jackets. I think they are totally worth it. I think they look great with jeans to stop the 'Hilary Clinton' vibe! Although would look equally fabulous with wide legs for a more smarter look. I had the fringy cardigan in the lovely iris blue but sold it on ebay about 2 years ago and kind of regret it.
I am so pleased with myself. Managed to bag both print jackets in a 12. The ornate print is so beautiful. I am not keeping both but ordered to see which one I like the best as I already have the jumpsuit in the ornate so might just keep the other colour. Don't think I could justify keeping both but you never know Think the ornate print is so beautiful but the teal print looks a bit garish for me but we will see.

ilovecherries · 04/05/2018 08:40

I love those printed blazers. I tried one on in JL but couldn't justify the price given I couldn't settle on a size that would last. I ended up getting this from Zara instead, although it had 20% off when I bought it. I'm not sure though whether to keep it or not.

I think its lovely. I think you should keep it. Gorgeous with jeans or with black trousers. I really think it would suit you.
I have looked endlessly for colours that would suit me in these jackets but some are really bold. I do quite like the warehouse one with the leaves and the birds and it is quite good because of the black background. I would NEVER wear it with matching trousers though.

Unfortunately, simply be had the most beautiful one too...but sold out and no wonder at just £19 in their sale.

neveradullmoment99 · 04/05/2018 09:04

I was going to order the warehouse one but then my heart was in the hush one and you know what its like. I would have bought it and then bought the hush one!!

ilovecherries · 04/05/2018 09:38

I think that's where I am with the Zara one. Although I think there is also something in me that is feeling it's drawing too much attention to myself. After so long being in a 22/24 you become expert at minimising yourself, being as inoffensive as possible, not doing anything that will make people take a second look. I think I don't have a slim person mindset yet.

neveradullmoment99 · 04/05/2018 09:50

Its a statement piece, so everything else should be minimized and imo is why having a pair of matching trousers is all wrong.
You have got lots of confidence and you don't know it cherries Think about your hair and how you ring the changes with your colours. It takes guts to do that. Just apply the same rules with your clothes. I think with a nice pair of black wide legs and a lilac or blue top under it, you will look fab. Don't doubt yourself. You have overcome loads!

neveradullmoment99 · 04/05/2018 09:52

Actually a not lilac, a blue or even yellow top under it would look brilliant with it.

MrsPeacockDidIt · 04/05/2018 11:06

oops i just placed another little order. the grey/silver star t-shirt, thanks User as i hadn't realised they had it in this colour way. I also ordered the red love t-shirt which has been in my basket a few times, and the bristol devore shirt which i'm prepared to look awful on me but with free delivery and returns I wanted to give it a go. I feel very summery today with the prospect of lovely weather over the bank holiday weekend !!

ilovecherries · 04/05/2018 11:39

Thanks for the encouragement, Never. :). I have taken the tags off. I've got on black jeans and trainers, the short sleeve sloppy joe in yellow, and that jacket. I'm going to take my laptop to Costa and work there for a bit, just to ensure I go out wearing it.

neveradullmoment99 · 04/05/2018 11:50

Fantastic :) I am sure you look great :)

Laska5772 · 04/05/2018 15:24

Have Just picked up this years version of the panel maxi in blue woodblock (from JL and delivered to local Waitrose ).. Its lovely, I got the size 12 (and its big on me , but a v loose style ) will be great in (hopefully hot ) Greece.. ...

A Classic Hush summer item (this is my 4th! ,actually not quite , two are Iris dresses ,)

sweatylemon · 04/05/2018 16:53

Have just received the Zanthe Top.
It looks great with Jeans. A bit expensive at £65.00 still lovely though.
The Tasha vest dress arrived too. Looks great! Ordered the dark blue. Could be worn with flats or heels, think it will get a lot of wear (it is a bit short though)
The best item is the longline military jacket. The best item of clothing I have purchased in a long time. It is fabulous, hangs well & will be a great jacket for the mixed weather days we have over the summer.
A very happy customer today.

Nearlyadoctor · 04/05/2018 17:05

Ooh Laska I ordered that dress today - really hope I love it as I want it to fill a hole in my summer holiday wardrobe.

DavetheCat2001 · 04/05/2018 17:25

Pics sweatylemon??

neveradullmoment99 · 04/05/2018 17:26

Well I am glad there are good reviews. I am going to order it when I get paid next time. I have that on my list and a pair of denim shorts as I sold my 14's from last year as they were too big. Anyone order any from this seasons? Thinking of the star ones like the jeans. Like the idea that I can wear them long or short.

neveradullmoment99 · 04/05/2018 17:27

The zanthe top looks lovely.
Dave Did you order the Boden dress? Or was it not you? I cant remember. Just saw it on another thread.

neveradullmoment99 · 04/05/2018 17:28

I really like that Boden dress. Very pricey but with suitable discounts may be worth it.

DavetheCat2001 · 04/05/2018 17:32

It was me never. I put some pics up a couple of pages back.

neveradullmoment99 · 04/05/2018 17:33

Ive ordered the angela textured dress in the sunglasses print. Love a little quirkiness. Its really for work! It cost me £15 because I had £25 in vouchers to use.

neveradullmoment99 · 04/05/2018 17:34

Yes, I saw those. I wondered if you had posted on another thread about the shirt dress.
