How funny Fedup I tried some silver double strap Birkies yesterday too with the extra cushioned sole. I LOVED them but DH absolutely hated them.

BlairWaldorfLovesShopping · 13/05/2018 21:27

Lol fedup and Shop were either of you trying them at costco by any chance? I'm very annoyed they are stocking Arizonas (2 strap) this year at only £40, but only in silver or patent red, blue or black. I want gold and am waiting for restock on the Birkenstock website... at £80. DH is not getting an opinion!

shopafrolic · 13/05/2018 22:40

I’m not a Costco member Blair
I have to buy direct to get the narrow fitting in some styles.

OneNightTimeMenaceStrikesBack · 13/05/2018 22:45

I tried birkenstocks a few summers ago but found them so uncomfortable that i gave them to my sister. Perhaps not helped by the fact i have almost zero arch to my feet, i think that's what made them so uncomfortable for me. In fairness though, i don't tend to wear sandals at all any more because of the way that i walk, they get absolutely wrecked within a few wears so I stick to converse int he summer now, find them much better to walk in

have started packing now, we go in roughly a week and a half so I expect i won't be around too much for a couple of weeks as internet access will be limited to the hotels only really. Any of you following me on instagram will see pictures though as and when i'm able to put them up Smile

FedupNagging · 13/05/2018 23:01

How did you guess Blair? 😂

shopafrolic · 14/05/2018 08:16

DH bought me these Birkenstocks
and these are the ones I will probably still buy! Grin

libertyonhertravels · 14/05/2018 10:36

I am so excited for you One. Really looking forward to the pictures!

I can't do Birkenstocks, love the look of them though.

Winter coming here - there was ice on my windscreen this morning Shock. This coat is calling me. I also have a hankering for some gold/bronze boots. Sadly sold out in my size.

Everyonelovessparkles · 14/05/2018 11:10

I can’t wear birkenstocks either. Annoying about the ones in Costco blair.

That pink dress was nice queenc.

Glad the Zara shorts are good shop, hope you manage to get them in the next size. Your night out sounds fun. I sometimes think the nights with low expectations often end up being the best ones.

Hope you like the dune slides fedup. I’ve worn mine a lot so the leather has softened up and I’ve not had any blisters or red marks with them.

Ooo exciting about your holiday one. We’re off at the end of next week too. I don’t really feel mentally ready for it as it just hasn’t felt like summer. But I can’t wait for a bit of sun and warmth.

My sore throat developed into severe tonsillitis over the weekend and I’ve been in absolute agony. I’ve got some antibiotics now and am starting to feel a bit better.

Everyonelovessparkles · 14/05/2018 11:13

Posted too soon! Love that camel coat lib and the boots are a nice style with a reasonable sized heel. I like the idea of a camel coat but I just don’t think the colour does anything for me. Ice on the windscreen?Winters coming! Grin

OneNightTimeMenaceStrikesBack · 14/05/2018 11:15

i don't feel ready either everyone i keep thinking its ages away and it really, really isn't!!

Like the coat lib i do think you are lucky if you can pull off camel colours, I've tried and they all make me look like a reanimated corpse!!! it's such a shame as a good camel coloured coat seems like such a classic staple

FedupNagging · 14/05/2018 13:02

Tbf, dh usually has no idea was right, I definitely didn't suit the Birkenstocks.

Everyone hope you feel better in time for your holiday.

Lib nice links - love the boots, fantastic colour.

One am so excited for you - you'll have a fantastic time.

QueenCornflower · 14/05/2018 13:14

everyone tonsillitis sucks but the antibiotics work v quickly so hopefully you’re getting some relief now.
lib can’t believe you’re thinking about boots and coats when we’re just getting out of them.

I’ve got really old birkenstocks and like shop, I need the narrow fit. I don’t find them comfortable anymore but that may be because they’re so old and worn down.

Missed my oasis order today but can hopefully pick it up from the couriers house later as it needs a signature and I’m working tomorrow. I will report back on everything-I quite excited by the peg leg style but I bet they will look rubbish!!

FedupNagging · 14/05/2018 13:22

This is the look I've gone for today with blue wide legged trousers (atterley) cream lace top (ancient from M&S) and cream flat sandals from Jones - also v old. Obviously I'm not tall and blond but you get the idea!

MN Vogue Vol. 82
BlairWaldorfLovesShopping · 14/05/2018 14:57

Fedup Grin the Birks at Costco were regular width, which I have now discovered are what I need - as opposed to "narrow" width, which most "women's" (metallic, decorative) styles seem to only come in. So maybe you'd need the narrow width? The only place I have found the gold ones I want in reg width is at Birkenstock's own website Hmm so I'm the opposite to Shop.

I have never owned a pair before, but the arch support comes nowhere near my arch, my feet are S-shaped with sticky up toes. (Freaky, sorry!)

Everyone sorry to hear about the tonsillitis. At least it happened before your holiday, fingers crossed you feel much better by the time you go.

shopafrolic · 14/05/2018 17:21

How are you feeling Everyone? I hope the antibiotics are helping.
Marsha 🐵

MarshaBradyo · 14/05/2018 22:20

Hello lovelies
I’ve been in the thick of it sorting out stuff for dd, will have an update v soon I hope

Shop back at you 🐒

Lib thanks Flowers how are you feeling?

Here’s some lovely style from Cannes

Need to catch up but nice to be back in the thread

QueenCornflower · 14/05/2018 22:32

Quick feedback on the trousers...
I really wanted to like these and although I liked them from the front and loved the high waistedness of them, the rear view was awful!
Awful length and again, awful rear view

QueenCornflower · 14/05/2018 22:35

Actually quite liked these but the length was all wrong on me sadly.

So maybe the warehouse order will be better.
I have my current navy trousers I can wear but they’re starting to look a bit faded and tired.

MarshaBradyo · 14/05/2018 22:37

So many beautiful dresses

Love Winnie Harlow’s green dress, Julianne Moore’s black one, Laura Harrier peach, Cate Blanchett Givenchy, Bella in Dior and Sui He in delicate blue. And more but that took a while to type

DryWhiteagainW · 14/05/2018 22:55

Oh I love looking at award dresses. Agree the green is stunning. Seems odd to wear velvet at this time of year, bit wintry. And I wish Kirsten Stewart would cheer up, always so miserable and a bit grubby........

DryWhiteagainW · 14/05/2018 22:56

Fedup I really like the sound of your OOTD......I’d like to try wide legged trousers again

Everyonelovessparkles · 15/05/2018 11:00

Thanks for all the well wishes, I’m feeling a lot better. Also as I’ve not been able to eat much I’ve lost a couple of lbs which is always a bonus pre holiday! So every cloud and all that! Grin

Your OOTD yesterday sounds lovely fedup.

Shame about the oasis trouser order queenc. The peg leg and wide culottes looked good. I quite fancy some but just not sure about the length....

Hope DD is ok marsha. There were some nice dresses in Cannes. I loved cate Blanchetts coloured ra ra/ tiered skirt one.

I bought this white circle cross body bag last week. I was torn between the white and the tan. However now I’m thinking I should have gone for the tan after all. What do people think?

shopafrolic · 15/05/2018 14:29

I like the white EVeryone but then I'm a Winter....
My Mango bag has arrived and I'm unsure. If it was £30 I'd keep it but I'm just not sure it's worth £50......

shopafrolic · 15/05/2018 14:33

I'm thinking I might send it back and try this one. What colour would you go for?

shopafrolic · 15/05/2018 14:50

Marsha glad the monkey pulled you back on thread with some ace link action.
