Blair how are you feeling in the hot weather?

MarshaBradyo · 24/06/2018 16:30

Or was there a mini mu today? Ignore me!

justasecond · 24/06/2018 20:21

I hope it wasn't today Marsha!
The P Lim shirt is lovely. Love the weather too although it makes dressing quite difficult.
Had my hair done properly today after years and years. It's so silky smooth I can't stop swishing it about Blush I will add a photo to our old pin board in case anyone is interested. Although you would really need a before pic to appreciate the difference!

DryWhiteagainW · 24/06/2018 20:32

Probably me ....I’m all muddled up.....generally Grin

QueenCyan · 24/06/2018 21:38

marsha love the r&b sweater but not convinced about the other 2 for you.

Just having a look at new in stuff and not very inspired but these shoes are fabulous. Can definitely see amber in them.

MarshaBradyo · 25/06/2018 09:40

I did a massive outnet order

Then thought I’d look at the reviews, I had no idea it was that bad

Why has someone killed a great site? Ridiculous

Can’t get through on phone have so et a fortune Hmm

MarshaBradyo · 25/06/2018 09:40

Have spent a fortune and no idea if I’ll get the clothes
Why be so inept, unbelievable

maradesbois · 25/06/2018 12:09

Marsha I think the Outnet has gone to shit downhill since the yoox merger/buyout, I haven’t bought from there for absolutely ages but noticed that product descriptions were bad, lots of fabric composition missing and riddled with errors but it is such a big company would have thought your money is definitely safe.

Fedup I thought about your comment re uncomfortable gigis yesterday after walking round in mine for hours. They have no foot support whatsoever.

Am away for work all week and already looking forward to getting back for mu! Also debating a Rixo dress and some sale shoes for a summer wedding, will link if I go ahead.

I’m pissed off with my 2 sandals buy this year. The sollilas ones make my scrunch my toes up to keep them on and the office haillie ones despite being amazingly comfy when you put them off after prolonged wear the elastic digs in. I’ve given them to my mum!
Despite being completely flat, I can walk for miles in my saltwaters so I’m sticking to them!

BlairWaldorfLovesShopping · 25/06/2018 13:34

Marsha fingers crossed for your outnet order, I guess there's a chance it could all be OK? I agree with mara that your money will definitely be fine. Hope the items are too!

Hot weather is a nightmare :( I'm now 34+3 and finding everything pretty tough, mainly as I wake up several times a night so I never feel rested or comfortable. Luckily I'm still at work where there is aircon!

mara I can really see you in a Rixo dress, hope you go for it.

Agree on the uncomfortable gigis... they look great but the last few months has really made me see the importance of comfy shoes. My birkenstocks are amazing. Hopefully next year I'll be back in flimsy sandals!

shopafrolic · 25/06/2018 17:27

Hi Voguettes. Sat poolside as I type. Nothing glam, minishop is having his weekly lesson. It’s boiling Blush
Had a brill weekend - date night with MrShop on Friday. I wore the new Me&em maxi which is just fabulous, such a great fabric with some jewelled R&B sandals and an old LKB wicker clutch.
Saturday we went to Brighton and Hove. Gorgeous day, fab seafood - wore my navy uniqlo jumpsuit - Best Buy of the year so far for sure.
At home on a Sunday for the football and sunbathing.
My Cult of Youth crystal necklace arrived today and I absolutely adore it. Despite it being gold. Wearing it straight away with GAP denim shorts and a GAP navy tank. Simple but perfect.
On the sandals - nothing has compared comfort wise to my birkenstocks but I find my GiGis ok to be fair. I think the first pair I bought had more sole cushioning, I wonder if they downgraded on quality?
Marsha I haven’t had any issues with stuff I ordered recently - it takes a while longer now as is shipped from italy. And returns took longer to credit back. Descriptions are rubbish. I used to look for stuff 2/3 times a week but CBA now.

MarshaBradyo · 25/06/2018 18:38

Thanks everyone I thought I’d really stuffed up when I didn’t get an order confirmation then couldn’t get an answer just blank but finally talked to a cs person who confirmed my order had gone through
So definitely worse, but as long as I get it!

I’m think I’ll come alone on Sat was thinking about dd but I hope to have my first outing solo.
Will have to see how it is

QueenCyan · 25/06/2018 21:01

So excited for Saturday. Should hopefully be lush weather. I’m thinking I don’t want to do my usual regent st trawl as there’s nothing o really need, it’s too hot to shop and I hate sales. I’m back down in September so will shop then. Any ideas what I should do instead? I’ll have a couple of hours, arrive in Paddington and then meeting in soho?

DryWhiteagainW · 25/06/2018 22:47

Blair not long now. Very exciting. I’m hosting a baby shower in a few weeks, have gone a bit over board buying bunting and 50 pastel balloons Shock..... I’m thinking gazebo in garden, cream tea theme, deck chairs......will probability rain Angry

Can anyone recommend a replacement jean for Paige Jimmies?

DryWhiteagainW · 26/06/2018 07:41

Well I’m chuffed I invested in some sleeveless work dresses . Tidy I’m wearing this one for the first time with tan belt and R and B nude ballet flats.

DryWhiteagainW · 26/06/2018 07:43

this one was brilliant yesterday, worn with flat sandals...perfect

shopafrolic · 26/06/2018 08:01

Dry go on LiveChat with DonnaIda the denim people. Or email The Dressing Room - they'll give you loads of good denim suggestions. Or Selfridges when you're next in London.
Great work dresses :)
I'm wearing my new Hush maxi today. Judging by how creased it was when it came out of the packet I'm not sure how well it will wear but it's lovely and cool.

MarshaBradyo · 26/06/2018 10:55

Blair ah I feel for you it gets pretty uncomfortable especially if you have heartburn on top - I found that got strong at the end.
When do you finish work?

Sitting in the garden, birds chirping, so nice!

shopafrolic · 26/06/2018 15:43

And then I spilt toothpaste down my Hush dress and had to get changed Blush
Washes well and dries quickly though so that's a plus.
So hot, lovely.
Blair feet in a paddling pool for you.

Fairylolly · 26/06/2018 15:50

Love those dresses Dry.

Blair the heat is awful in the last few pregnancy weeks, but it’s all worth it Smile.

BlairWaldorfLovesShopping · 26/06/2018 16:51

I wish shop, midwife did tell me to have a cold bath before bed though - wish I had last night!

Feeling fed up anyway for many reasons, plus I've got low platelets and might have to be referred, and I'm being sent for a growth scan. It's one thing after another!

Marsha I don't know but it won't be past the 20th July (2 weeks before due date). I will be taking some annual leave, because I want to start ML as late as possible so that DH can get his full 3 months off - we are sharing the leave but he can't really start his until February due to work pressures. Thing is I am already wondering how on earth I'm going to cope for 3.5 more weeks, only because I'm literally not sleeping!
Is it very naive of me to wonder whether losing sleep due to a cute baby, plus not having to go to work every day, might actually be easier?!

I will keep my moaning to that for today lol Halo

shopafrolic · 26/06/2018 16:54

Allsole have got 20% off Birkenstocks and Havaianas with code SUMMER. I have just ordered the silver Arizonas that I was lusting after.....

kittyhello · 27/06/2018 16:41

Shop I'm loving my Arizonas and am wearing them a lot, they're quite chunky so look good with shorts. I used to wear Madrids many moons ago and hadn't worn them for years but have started wearing my silver ones again.

Blair it probably doesn't seem like to you but your pregnancy is going really quickly. Bet you can't wait for BabyBlair to pop out - but not before time of course!

Marsha I hope your items arrive soon from The Outset, I agree with Mara in that since the Yoox takeover and the ousting of Natalie Massenet from NAP it's all gone downhill a bit. I think they want Yoox to eventually replace The Outnet.

Looking forward to seeing everyone on Saturday. It's going to be a scorcher.

MarshaBradyo · 27/06/2018 17:03

Yes I wondered if it was sabotage!
Although I was asked to fill in a how did your cs do thing so hopefully the first step in improvement

Blair so sorry to hear that, hang in there soon your gorgeous baby will be here

BlairWaldorfLovesShopping · 27/06/2018 17:22

kitty no it is actually going super fast! I'm not ready lol :)

Got my scan plus consultant tomorrow (platelets were still low). At least they are quick to see you.

I agree, they are deliberately making the outnet a bit rubbish so they can say sales have fallen and divert all the stock to Yoox! (FWIW I find Yoox far too big to browse... I did buy my Stella skirt from them so it is good for specific items, but there's nothing like a good Outnet browse! Sad times.)
