oooh, you'll have a beautiful, squishy little baby before you know it blair Thanks

bought a couple more pairs of shorts today, just primark ones, both a mid blue as almost every other pair i had was black and i just wanted a bit of variety. Don't see much point in spending a lot on them as tbh, more expensive brands I've tried just don't fit right, they are all either too big on the leg and too tight on the hips, or fit on the hips and are skin tight to the point of cutting off circulation on the leg. Now I've found ones that fit properly, i'm sticking with them even if they are dirt cheap!

shopafrolic · 28/06/2018 18:58

Evening all - just about to watch the football but had to share they I have found the most brilliant seamstress. I am so pleased. She has taken up this All Saints dress which always felt too long on me and did such a good job that I have given her a few more bits to alter that have been bugging me.
Wish I could do it myself but my skills are poor.
Blair how did your scan and consultant meeting go?

shopafrolic · 28/06/2018 19:25

Can anyone do polka dots?

Everyonelovessparkles · 28/06/2018 19:26

That’s a nice dress shop. It must be your girls weekend soon?

one I think it doesn’t always matter how much something costs if you like it and it fits you well.

Hope the scan and consultant appointment went ok blair.

I still have a browse on the outnet but all the horror stories of returns and lack of decent info on sizing / fit etc keeps putting me off purchasing.

Looking forward to the MU. Think It’s going to hot. Will probably wear a dress, just got to decide which one!

kittyhello · 28/06/2018 19:58

I love that All Saints dress Shop am wearing a polka dot blouse as I type. I really like that Ganni dress.

Every I'll be wearing a dress too on Saturday.

Have had 2 clothing mishaps in 2 days. Yesterday I stretched my arm and ripped my denim dress. - not on the seam either Angry and today I got the heel of my gold sandals stuck in a drainage grid. Had to prize it out with a screwdriver I know have a very scuffed heel.

I haven't bought anything in the sales Halo

OneNightTimeMenaceStrikesBack · 28/06/2018 20:00

you're right everyone it's not the price of them that matters, the fit is all important. in this case,t hey just happen to be cheap! I have tried so many pairs from so many different places, thinking that a pricier pair MUST somehow be better but they just aren't, these primark ones, and it is only a particular style they do, are the perfect fit AND i don't have to size up in them like i usually have to in shorts/trousers/jeans.

Hope everything went okay today blair Thanks

I'm not sure i'm going to make saturday, I'm still battling that UTI and the heat and humidity is really playing havoc with my bones and joints, i keep having random dislocations which are painful and very awkward. Will see how i feel saturday morning though, don't want to say no right now as I might feel okay by then Smile

BlairWaldorfLovesShopping · 28/06/2018 20:55

Thanks shop/everyone/one all was fine :) waiting 50 mins to be seen for scan and then another hour to be seen afterwards was not. (In the middle of the day!) Just so annoying. It was the same last time as well. I feel bad moaning about the NHS but that is seriously crap.

kitty oh no, does that mean you need to find replacements now?! Wink

That's a really lovely dress shop and I am not usually a polka dots fan. Interested to hear how Marsha's outnet order turns out.

DH has just painted my toenails for the second time ever. I don't know how it's possible to do it so badly! He's definitely ensuring I will never ask him again. Hmm

DryWhiteagainW · 28/06/2018 21:10

Nice polka dots Shop

Kitty damn mishaps, hopefully retrievable .

Just bought this dress because I need a red dress in my life and it will be great for my Xmas do......YES I said the X word Grin

DryWhiteagainW · 28/06/2018 21:11

Oh gosh, now I need metallic heels to go with.............

shopafrolic · 28/06/2018 21:23

Oh Blair I remember those wait times. I just had to keep thinking the consultant was probably helping someone in labour and I’d want them to be there for me if I was in difficulty. Tough though esp in this heat.
I go on the 13th Everyone and then Mexico on the 20th. So excited.
I may have to let you all down this weekend. DF is struggling with his breathing in this heat. I feel like DM needs me to be near. Will make a call tomorrow.
One rest up
I know it’s been done recently but I need book recs for Holiday please.

kittyhello · 28/06/2018 22:34

Shop I'll add you to a book review club on FB. Loads of good recommendations on there including the new one by Shari Lapena. Sorry to hear about DF I hope it eases up soon Flowers

Great dress Dry and very similar to a sleeveless Zarita.

Blair those are very long to waiting times especially in this heat and at your gestation.

One glad you have found a style of shorts that you like and i don't blame you for stocking up. I have 3 pairs of Boden chino shorts that need replacing

shopafrolic · 28/06/2018 22:37

Thanks Kitty

MarshaBradyo · 29/06/2018 09:42

Should be here today Blair will report back

Keep changing my mind about bringing dd tomorrow - dh just said I should spend the money on a black cab in and out as do I really want to do PT - he is funny sometimes so indulgent not complaining about this trait however. He actually delighted me with his outfit this morning - kind of a city suit shorts, brogues and blazer thought he looked good European vibe Grin

So she may or may not be present will try not to ruin the vogue vibe!

I don’t want to feel uncomfortable if I have to bf - in both senses ie in comfy chairs maybe it will be too annoying

Ok will ponder

MarshaBradyo · 29/06/2018 09:43

Shop that’s a shame but more important your df is ok

QueenCyan · 29/06/2018 11:01

Morning. I seem to have developed hay fever so look very attractive at the moment Hmm

blair pregnancy in this heat is hideous. WRT to the hospital, it is crap but sadly the consultant was probably giving bad news to someone. Clinics only allow for 10 mins per patient and are often overbooked anyway to fit in everyone that needs to be seen so inevitable sadly that they don’t run to time. So glad everything ok.

dry I love you but go away if your going to think about Xmas already Grin

shop I will miss you tomorrow but understand if you can’t be there.

I’ll be wearing a dress too.

QueenCyan · 29/06/2018 11:18

I absolutely love my hush Grecian top and since we’ve booked another week abroad at the end of the holidays I ve been stalking the website for returns as all other colours were sold out. Am really happy as I just got the black one!

shopafrolic · 29/06/2018 11:47

Dry what size shoe are you?

shopafrolic · 29/06/2018 11:51

I definitely can't come tomorrow now I'm afraid. miniShop threw up everywhere outside school this morning so is currently home with me to add to the fun.
Gutted. QueenC I really wanted to see you in particular. So am sending you a huge great big hug and a virtual glass of fizz.
Marsha I would have loved to meet miniMarsha but it sounds as though you may be flying solo - enjoy the time. DH's outfit sounds fab. Men rarely dress well in the heat.
Lots of updates tomorrow please. (and What'sApp pics).

Everyonelovessparkles · 29/06/2018 12:16

Sorry to miss you tomorrow shop. Hope your DF and minishop are ok though. Ooo not long till your trips. I could so do with a girls weekend in the sun.

Glad the appointments went well blair, shame about the wait though.

dry, I can see you in the red dress. Nice to see someone else thinking about . I’ve already bought Disney on ice tickets for December Grin.

QueenCyan · 29/06/2018 12:33

everuone if you get as excited as dry about Xmas you can both go and start your own thread Grin
shop gutted you won’t be there.

BlairWaldorfLovesShopping · 29/06/2018 12:53

Just so no one thinks I'm moaning about a consultant being too busy to see me - my own midwife told me I would be seen by a doctor after the scan, but I wasn't, it was by a hospital midwife and they seemed very confused that I'd been told differently. The clinic was just super busy. All fine in the end though!

Really looking forward to hearing about the MU tomorrow :)

BlairWaldorfLovesShopping · 29/06/2018 12:54

shop Oh no, poor DS, and I hope your DF is okay. Really jealous of your 2 holidays!

FedupNagging · 29/06/2018 19:39

Just popping in quickly to say have a lovely day tomorrow-am sorry to miss it.

I'll maybe organise an autumn mu.

Will catch up on all the posts I've missed soon-currently drinking cocktails in the evening sun 😊

MarshaBradyo · 29/06/2018 21:19

Thanks Fedup Autumn mu sounds fabulous, enjoy the cocktails Smile

Blair I’m really pleased everything was ok

shopafrolic · 29/06/2018 21:23
