I'm getting there queenC unfortunately, I got hit with a UTI a couple of days ago so feeling rough because of that, I thought I had one coming but uggggh, aren't they just awful?!?

Hopefully I will make the MU, i'm aiming to at least. Can't believe I haven't been to one in SO long!!

OOTD today was dark blue shorts and a lilac sleeveless top with a black glittery sugar skull on it. Long ribbed cardigan just to keep my shoulders covered. Now slobbing in pjs as i'm in pain and needed a nap

Haven't had a chance to read back but just want to say to Mara that I can come to the MU if it's not too late.

Afternoon! I am on a way for a looong lunch with my school mum friends. Everyone is very stylish so always a joy to check out what everyone wearing. I decided to use my Chloé bag which has gold hardware so last minute scurrying around to wear gold bling.

HAd another clear out, in aims of makign space for the clothes i brought back from america and managed to fill a bin liner with stuff i don't want/is too big/don't wear/don't like anymore. Am tryign to pare things back quite a lot as I realised that despite having a clear out a few months ago, i still had things I just don't wear as they either don't look the way i would like when they are on or they only go with certain tops/bottoms and I never seem to have both clean and ready to wear at the same time so they have been ditched. I would like to buy some more shorts as I feel really comfortable in them now after years of thinking i couldn't wear them and I'm planning on dying some things I've got to darker or plain colours as I think they'll work better for me in black/dark purple/dark red than they do in the patterns/colours they currently are. Really feel like i'm getting a proper handle on wearing what suits my body shape/size but also reflects my personality. For years it's either been one or the other but i really feel like i've made the connections now about how to make both aspects work together

Just nipped out to do a bit of food shopping and picked up some beautiful peonys which are now on my desk making me smile when i catch sight of them

There’s so many sales and discounts at the moment and as I’m feeling tired / PMTy this is a dangerous time for my credit card as I often make splurge purchase to cheer myself up!

Hope everyone is having a nice weekend. We went out locally for dinner last night for an early Father’s Day celebration. DD (age 5 and half) has inherited my love of getting dressed up as she came downstairs in her brand new wild and gorgeous dress, a bead bracelet in matching colours, her silver sparkly shoes, a sparkly ‘jojo bow’ and had helped herself to my perfume - she was the best dressed person in pizza express .

Marsha MrShop reminded me it’s only 3 weeks till my first trip. Not sure I’m ready. Too much going on around the house. New sofa arrived. Sky man coming tomorrow to reconfigure where the box goes in or living room so I can change the furniture around.
I went out last night with school parents. New tapas and cocktail place locally. I wore my black Splendid jumpsuit from my trip to Grand Cayman. Still with the Dune black heels. Hasn’t dated and still felt good.
I ordered the Uniqlo jumpsuit in navy. Such a useful piece.

Mara I love those beya backless. I wear my stone coloured ones so much that I think I need another light pair. Haven't worn the black ones at all yet. Prob more for autumn though. I am very tempted by the stripy shirt dress, not seen that before wonder how it would look over a slim/skinny crop jean?

Shop what kind of sofa did you get? I can't decide on one at all. We have a wardrobe, dressing table, small cabinet and a bookcase arriving tomorrow - all sourced at an antique shop this weekend.

In fashion news I went trouser hunting as I'm getting cold some days in skirts/dresses for work and I bought these wide leg ones. They are so flattering and feel like a new look for me. They are having their debut tomorrow as I have meetings in Auckland and staying overnight so I am wearing them with Sam Edelman Petty boots and Uniqlo fine knit merino crew necks, scarf, gold hoop earrings. Easy peasy work/travel dressing.

Lib i’ve sent you a pic of the sofa. It’s quite traditional / high backed because it’s in the high ceilinged (sp?) part of the house.

Not much fashion news here apart from make up .... have bought my first Charlotte Tilbury lipstick (Very Victoria) and I love it. A great everyday browny pink natural shade, very matte which I love, glides on and stays put. V impressed. Love it as much as MAC Velvet Teddy.

Also have been wearing Estee Lauder Sumptuous Extreme Waterproof mascara.... brilliant stuff, stays put and very black.

Would recommend both.

No fashion news here either; wearing leopard print Gigi's today but my feet are now hurting-they're too flat & hard underfoot for all day wear which I knew so my own fault

We go on holiday in a few days so I need to sort out what I'm taking-will try to pack light as I never wear everything. So far silver Gigi's & silver bag are on my evening list. Was pondering what to wear when traveling fully coordinated outfit etc etc then had a word with myself-it's a budget airline at stupid o'clock 😂
