Morning! Had to share my new John Lewis wedge heeled espadrilles with you. They arrived while I was away and they look great. I tried them on and loved them so much that I wore them out. Given my back woes, I am not sure why I hadn’t thought of espadrilles before! I might look at the court ones that the Duchess of Cambridge wears as possibilities for work.

OneNightTimeMenaceStrikesBack · 10/06/2018 11:18

they look good blingy I can't really do heels now either, the most i've pushed for is my platform converse!

I'm still coming to the MU at this point but that may change depending on how long it takes me to recover from the hideous jet lag i've been blessed with but up to now, i'm coming

I may have done a cheeky order last night and sent for a Vivienne Westwood skirt and top Blush in my defence they were relatively cheap and I really loved them and know i will wear them loads Blush

YvesKleinBlue · 10/06/2018 15:50

I love espadrille wedges blingy, I used to have several pairs about ten years ago and wore them loads.

Also love my wedge sandals from APC that I bought a few years ago. They are very comfortable and great for walking on grass. They do that style every year and I wish they did more colours.

I am a bit jetlagged at the moment but enjoying the nice weather at my parents’ place while it lasts.

DryWhiteagainW · 10/06/2018 17:58

Hello from sunny up north ....

Blingy as I opened the bracelet link I was thinking Yves has that one. V nice and agree the Pravda bag is fab.

Libery I made all my curtains for that v reason but still the fabric was £££. Roman blinds take a lot less fabric and I love the sleek look.

Shop both dresses are fab for you. I’m now (a sheep) so tempted to get some wedge espadrilles but have bought way too many summer shoes (5 pairs in fact ) and really don’t need any more.

DryWhiteagainW · 10/06/2018 18:07

this dress arrived and it’s a winner. Lovely thick cotton with a bit of stretch. Love a waisted dress. But the model must be 6ft because I’ve had to cut 5” off the bottom Shock. Thanks QueenC for finding it.

Everyonelovessparkles · 11/06/2018 09:53

Hope everyone had a nice weekend, weather here was better than expected.

I wrote along post yesterday then lost it, so couldn’t be bothered doing it again.

Lovely bracelet blingy and nice espadrilles too. Did you keep the LK bennet ones in the end too?

Glad you had a nice holiday one. Hope you recover from the jet lag soon.

Nice dress dry. I think espadrilles might suit your style too (enabler Grin)

Glad the dresses are keepers shop. I think ‘does my bum look 40’ did a recent blog post about similar styles of dress if you are interested.

I’ve had a (blue and white) Boden fest just recently 😂. Wore this blue spotty dress on a recent date night with DH. Wore this top with jeans and navy blazer and the tan slides and white leather Swarovski bracelet for a team meeting in Paris the other day. And I got this top the other day with the 25% off. I like this type of top for summer as it’s easy to wear and looks good with jeans, denim skirt, shorts etc and feels a bit smarter than just a t’shirt.

Hope everyone has a good day!

shopafrolic · 11/06/2018 09:57

Matches sale is on......

OneNightTimeMenaceStrikesBack · 11/06/2018 09:59

ugggggh still feeling awful. i'm meant to be somewhere today and i Just don't think i can manage it, i should be able to put it off for a couple more days though and hopefully i will feel a little brighter by then. Just want to climb back into bed!!!!

I'm actually glad I didn't end up buying anything new to take on holiday, clothes wise as I just don't think it would have been worn. I judged it just right with what i did take though and there was only one dress i took that didn't get worn at all, everything else was worn though. in fairness the amount of stuff i came back with, i wouldn't have had enough space if i'd taken anything else with me Blush

maradesbois · 11/06/2018 13:41

And NAP!

shopafrolic · 11/06/2018 17:17

BlairWaldorfLovesShopping · 11/06/2018 17:27

OneNightTimeMenaceStrikesBack · 11/06/2018 17:34

DryWhiteagainW · 11/06/2018 18:25

Me too..... but I’m confused about this cryptic message

DryWhiteagainW · 11/06/2018 18:26

Wore my new khaki dress to work, lots of good comments. V chuffed with it.

maradesbois · 11/06/2018 19:16

Btw love the dress Dry

QueenCyan · 11/06/2018 20:20

Yay for the dress dry.

I’ve finished my summer purchases and it feels a relief!
navy top
blue top
shorts
I now feel totally sorted as some of my old tops can be downgraded to beach wear which means I won’t about them getting ruined by sun cream.

DryWhiteagainW · 12/06/2018 07:39

Nice QueenC

Just wondering if anyone has bought from or visited Arket? So much hype but I’m not hearing anything about the brand at all. Keep looking online, looks decent quality and a lot of basiscs but a bit uninspiring tbh

libertyonhertravels · 12/06/2018 09:30

Dry great idea re roman blinds - there are a lot of them in the house and I think it's the way to go - as you say, less fabric and very sleek. I need to find sewing lessons now Smile. Love that kakhi dress, would definitely get one myself if I was over there.

Everyone that blue broderie top is so pretty!

One hope you are feeling a bit better today - jet lag is a bugger.

Nice summer shopping QueenC - you are so organised.

Any nice purchases in the NAP or Matches sales?????

QueenCyan · 12/06/2018 09:31

dry I went in there last year and wasn’t at all inspired. But it’s not really my style. My friend who’s an autumn and probably some sort of romantic/classic/dramatic (ie totally different to me) bought loads of things and really rates them. You’re right though, you don’t hear much of them. Is it still just the store in regent st or have they opened others?

Internet was playing up last night so didn’t get a chance to open links.
blingy I’m pretty sure you’ve been listing after a Prada as long as I’ve known you (or do you already have one??) so get it.
everyone I love that navy top and was tempted but worried about the material. I wanted the other version of it (the Clara) but it’s sold out in navy. I’ve got the warehouse one now anyway so don’t need it anymore.

AmberNectarine · 12/06/2018 10:41

I got these with a presale discount. They have not subsequently gone into the sale, which is pleasing.

OneNightTimeMenaceStrikesBack · 12/06/2018 10:46

they are nice amber i like the colour especially. I'm not looking at the sales at all, i'm shopped out right now tbh, I did more shopping on holiday than i have done for the last year probably! Do need to go through my drawers/wardrobe and bag stuff up for charity again as I have no space to put my new stuff away!

Thanks lib feeling a little better every day but it's slow going. Dp is okay now he says but obviously, i have other factors at play with already being ill so it's hit me harder than him and is subsequently taking longer for me to get over. I'll get there though, just trying to take it easy and not over do things, have to be strict with myself as I'm bad at just thinking i'll just push a little harder and it'll be okay when it won't be!

Everyonelovessparkles · 12/06/2018 14:32

Thanks lib. I thought I’d be able to wear it with shorts, then it’s the wrong proportions for me, but it does look good with jeans.

I agree dry that after the initial burst of PR around arket, you don’t hear much about it. Is it supposed to be more ‘basics’? I haven’t heard of any more stores other than the regent street one.

I looked at the Clara top too queenc but I preferred the pattern of the one I got. Also I find those viscose Boden tops ooo great when they are new but as soon as you wash them they never look the same, whereas this one is modal / light jersey and washes and hangs great and isn’t sweaty.

Nice but amber and always good when they don’t go onto the sale!

There are some nice things in the sale on both NAP and matches but they are still £££.

shopafrolic · 12/06/2018 16:13

&OS sale on

QueenCyan · 12/06/2018 17:43

everyone, yes, the ravello tops are exactly like that. Utterly loved them initially but had to get rid after not too long as they just looked tired and worn. It was a shame as I had 3 of them!

Dreamqueen · 12/06/2018 18:16

Great buy Amber they are lovely.

Glad that you are getting over jetlag One.
Lovely dress Dry I'm too short and don't have a waist.
I've gone completely over the top in the sales. Thanks for heads up on &OS sale Shop. Have ordered 12 items from Cos and 2 dresses from &OS.
This dress in white and in black. I have it in another colour already & it's perfect for holiday or just to throw on in hot weather.

Will link the Cos stuff if they are keepers. I added them to pin from the order confirmation and when I looked all my details also came up on the pin so I've had to delete them and start pinning again.
