And yes, QueenC, I would wear flats to an interview as mine are all pretty smart and it fits better with my job although you know I love love love heels otherwise

Everyonelovessparkles · 03/06/2018 16:02

Thanks for the suitcase comments. I guess I’m still used to taking a whole suitcase just for me pre DC so getting used to cutting back on everything to accommodate all the DC crap is still a shock to the system Grin.

Nice holiday buys kitty.

I think smart flats would be ok for an interview too queenc. I’ve totally given up on ‘high’ heels now as I just have too much walking to do.

I saw this navy suede skirt in the LK bennet sale which I am tempted by as I think it would get a lot of wear in A/W but there just seems something wrong with thinking about, and buying, winter clothes in the middle of summer.

Longislandicetee · 03/06/2018 19:57

Hello! Shop, I love the swimsuit. Hubba hubba.... I will now be expecting a swimsuit shot on my phone.WinkGrin

Have had a lovely time away, weather was fabulous 5 out of the 7 days, and especially the last 2 days. Second time, we have been in his resort and i really like it. My day wear has been a variety of swimsuits (usually halter neck as they suit the big boobed like me) with the occasional cover up by the pool. I only took 3 summer dresses - the wrangler one i linked the other day and the 2 Mango striped dresses that i bought a couple of years ago. I brought loads of evening wear but actually because it was chilly in the evenings, i rotated 3 different jumpsuits, which i accessorised with different jewellery and shoes each time.

Everyone, we take a suitcase per person in our family. I don't think i have every got used to packing less. Blush When the dcs were younger and we were hauling both nappies and special milk, we used to take 6 cases.Blush Thankfully now down to 4, and we could have got away with 3.

Looking forward to seeing Yves later this week. The power of MNV - who would have thought we would be doing international MUs?!!

YvesKleinBlue · 03/06/2018 21:02

blingy I replied to your pm.

mara and I once had a mini MU in my old neck of the woods but that was ‘just’ a European MU, this one will be Transatlantic! 🌎

BlairWaldorfLovesShopping · 04/06/2018 09:19

Huge good luck today Mara! You will be fab. Hope you love it. :)

Back later.

shopafrolic · 04/06/2018 09:32

Blingy and Yves I need pics from your MU. How cool.
Blingy when I was trying on all the swimwear I very nearly sent you pics to ask your opinion Grin
Mara hope today goes well - enjoy x
Marsha how are things?
Sending love to all - feel like we haven't seen each other for ages so really looking forward to the end of the month.

QueenCyan · 04/06/2018 12:43

Who can make the end of the month?
Will have to start outfit planning soon Grin

BlairWaldorfLovesShopping · 04/06/2018 14:28

Marsha and shop this is the bag I got :) I've started using it now and I love how you can open it one handed (it's magnetized).

No further with changing bag saga, but it's now the only thing I need to buy really! Even managed to get new car sorted, woop!

Re mini-MU, I have realised the only Saturday I am actually free is the 23rd June. I can't do the first weekend in July at all. I know it's really short notice!

kitty those H&M dresses look good, I am always looking there lately for summer clothes and got a couple of linen bits the other day.

everyone lush skirt and a really good price, but I know what you mean, even trying on something suede would feel wrong right now!

QueenC I think flats would be fine for the interview, esp in this heat.

Ugh, 9 weeks to go and I am waking up multiple times a night - not enjoying this stage!

Everyonelovessparkles · 04/06/2018 15:36

That is a lovely bag blair and such a nice colour. Yes the last 9 weeks are quite tough especially when it’s warm and you can never get comfortable. Pregnancy in other people always seems to go really fast Grin. Sorry, I definitely can’t make the 23rd.

Hope the first day went well mara.

blingy Grin at you taking 6 suitcases on holiday! My DH would have a heart attack if I suggested that! (I don’t think we even own 6 suitcases!) Enjoy your mini MU with yves. I’m sure it will be one very stylish MU!

Looking forward to meeting you on the 30th queenc.

shopafrolic · 04/06/2018 17:11

Perfect for you Blair
I don’t envy you these last few weeks in this heat. Poor you.
LOL at ‘just’ a European MU

MarshaBradyo · 04/06/2018 18:22

Blair I love that bag, great colour I’m glad you linked again as I definitely missed it

Shop and QueenC dd is great. Bruising is nearly gone and will have steri strips taken off on Thursday. Then hopefully all done! Really enjoying this time now the stress is gone.

Blingy I really like that resort, do you go out to eat much when there? If we go back I might ask about nice places to eat

MarshaBradyo · 04/06/2018 19:25

I don’t suppose anyone knows about taxis in Italy? I don’t need to take a car seat do I?

I’ve never really paid attention before but I need to get from the airport (Pisa, Rome or Florence need to book) to the train station

QueenCyan · 04/06/2018 21:12

marsha no idea but I’d take a car seat. I just wouldn’t trust a hire one. And it’ll be handy if delayed at airport etc.

MarshaBradyo · 04/06/2018 21:25

I don’t think I have enough arms! Pram, baby, luggage and no dh. Just googled and I think there’s a train from Rome airport at least. Then the rest is all train
I don’t know how to take everything I’ll need and do lots of the travelling without help. I’m not sure if I’m missing something but feels difficult

Has anyone travelled alone with a small baby, how did you do it? Pls break it down for me what to leave what to take

FedupNagging · 04/06/2018 21:57

Marsha there is a train station at Pisa too. Can you book ahead for assistance at the airport? I guess organisation is the key for travelling with a small baby - have travelled alone with 3 small dc's several times but not a baby. Once on the place, the cabin were always so lovely and helpful.

FedupNagging · 04/06/2018 22:09

Oops, hit post too soon!

Blair poor you, you must be exhausted; when do you start maternity leave?

How fab Yves and Blingy having a TA mu - definitely take a pic.

Mara how did your first day go?

I loved Lib's red stripe dress last year & love yours too Kitty - it's so stylish.

Talking of stylish, there was a lady wearing a fab outfit on the underground the other day - black frayed cropped jeans , black slingbacks - quite possibly these from GV, a crisp white shirt under a cotton kimono type jacket. It was so crowded I couldn't get a look at the bag. The whole outfit looked so effortlessly put together.

Has a date been decided on the mini mu? I may be able to make that if someone could pm me?

QueenCyan · 04/06/2018 22:21

Sorry got distracted before could post more.
marsha never travelled alone or with a small baby. But your oldest should be able to help with luggage? What pram are you taking? Will it be easier to get a stroller so it’s lighter? Otherwise take as little as possible-things can be washed out easily. Are you staying in hotels or with family? If it’s a wedding could a family member meet you at the airport or half way on the journey to help you?

everyone I’m looking forward to meeting you too but all this talk of mini mu is making me wonder who can make the main event??

blair pregnancy in heat sucks. You have my sympathies. Next time plan it so you have a winter baby! But on the plus side you’ll be up and it’ll be light and not cold and dreary. The handbag is lovely.

I realised today just how tired some of my summer stuff is looking. The trouble with cotton is that it fades terribly. My navy shorts are looking worse for wear.

MarshaBradyo · 04/06/2018 22:46

Thanks QueenC and Fedup
I’m yet to decide how many dc I’m taking might just be dd (first girl trip!) as we have our family holiday a week or so after and we’ll make it the type the boys love (resort etc). They are happy to come but not desperate so need to consider if ok not to

Will take Bugaboo as it’s really easy to handle, pretty light and doesn’t tip

Staying at a villa with loads of people will just get a room with dd, need to find out about a cot

Could meet parents in Rome for help on way there but train times back make it hard for connecting flights, need to check, will be alone on way back

Will definitely pack light as need to carry it all

Blair ah it’s tough when sleep is tricky

QueenCyan · 05/06/2018 06:48

marsha if it’s just you and dd I wouldn’t be too worried. It’s almost less stressful than worrying about the other two. Can you put your stuff in a backpack rather than a suitcase?

MarshaBradyo · 05/06/2018 06:54

Yes that’s what I was thinking. They’re really helpful with dd but also it’s more work and I’d like to relax
When we go on holiday we make it as easy as possible but they still need to be supervised in the pool etc and that’s with two of us

Yes might do back pack and pack very lightly
Should all be ok if I don’t need a car seat or travel cot

MarshaBradyo · 05/06/2018 07:02

Ps has anyone taken a Bugaboo on the plane?

shopafrolic · 05/06/2018 08:16

Marsha my car seat used to clip (using adaptors) to the Bugaboo frame - is that an option? Although I have to say we had the cheapest of cheap strollers for when we flew. Although I guess insurance would cover damage?

MarshaBradyo · 05/06/2018 08:22

True I don’t want to wreck it. Maybe be I’ll just buy a cheap one. We used to do that too

MarshaBradyo · 05/06/2018 11:30

Mara hope the new job is fabulous

MarshaBradyo · 05/06/2018 11:44

QueenC well done on the interview, good luck and have you decided what to wear?
