LOL at short Dry outfit sounds good
I’m wearing the new Uniqlo jumpsuit in Brighton today. I’ve been stopped twice to ask me where it’s from so i’m really happy I tried something new for me.

shopafrolic · 02/06/2018 15:06

Mara main event is in the diary. Smile

DryWhiteagainW · 02/06/2018 15:17

I’ve just spent/wasted about an hour watching Justine Leconte clips on YouTube. If you don’t know her, and are interested in French chic, she’s a fab French stylist/ journo. V interesting. And she has just talked about Scandinavia (more trend driven) v French (more classic and quality) chic. Both very defined looks .....I’d love to hear her on British v French chic.
Anyone got any views on this?

DryWhiteagainW · 02/06/2018 15:20

She’s actually a knitwear designer

shopafrolic · 02/06/2018 16:07

She designs jewellery too Dry I love her - I really liked her post about foot shapes and what shoes suit which feet. Marsha would have hated it Grin

MarshaBradyo · 02/06/2018 16:16

Ha I was just about to postGrin! I need to check it out sounds good Dry

Shop love those holiday buys especially the swimsuit

Thank you Yves, Mara and Amber I’m so happy and relieved - the most I’ve been in my life so far. Can’t believe I’m not anxious anymore

This weather!! So hot

MarshaBradyo · 02/06/2018 16:18

I love that Blingy and Yves are having an o/s mini mu so cool!

YvesKleinBlue · 02/06/2018 18:28

Hi blingy I just read your post!

The DC will have finished school on Wednesday but if you don’t mind them tagging along I would love to meet up!

I will pm you later as we have people over for lunch and I need to start preparing the food.

QueenCyan · 02/06/2018 19:54

Bastard phone just lost my post Grin. Will post more tomorrow as just getting sozzled on prosecco!!

QueenCyan · 03/06/2018 08:41

Hello again. Just spent a lovely week in the uk wearing shorts. The temperature at home has to be really hot for me to get them on but on holiday I just don’t care and love wearing them!
Has anyone read this? I’ve started reading it and there’s some useful bits but it seems like such hard work.
Anyway, it’s sunday morning, so that means ‘shopping’.....

QueenCyan · 03/06/2018 08:43

HIgh st browse first...
perfect for dry

QueenCyan · 03/06/2018 08:46

also for dry.. If this wasn’t khaki I’d love it.

Everyonelovessparkles · 03/06/2018 08:50

I’m back from holiday now. We had a good time, weather wasn’t the best at the start of the week but warmed up towards the end. The BBB was actually really useful, it turns out you do need a huge basket to carry stuff for 4 people Grin. I managed to pack it by following fedup’s advice of filling the basket and then packing round it. Out of interest how many suitcases do people take on holiday? We just take 2 for 4 people and considering DS pretty much needs a clean outfit for each day (and then some) this doesn’t leave much room for my stuff. How do other people manage?

So pleased to hear that DD is ok and on the mend marsha, you must be so relieved.

Great buys for your holiday shop. And well done mrshop too! Pleased that the jumpsuit was a good buy. On the ‘does my bum look 40’ blog, she has done a post about easy to wear summer dresses that look similar in style to the black one you have bought, in case your interested.

Hope blingy and one are having fab holidays.

Well done mara on the job. Looking forward to hearing about it at the MU.

Glad your summer wardrobe is working well dry. I always feel that my summer wardrobe is better than my winter one, I think it’s because in winter I seem to wear a variation on a theme (jeans and jumper, skirt and jumper etc) so it feels very samey, whereas in summer I feel there are more options (probably because it depends on the weather - there’s a whole spectrum of outfits for warm through to hot weather).

Hope your head isn’t too sore this morning queenc.

Sorry you can’t make the 30th blair. June is looking quite busy for me for a mini MU, but if you find a date that suits the others, I might be able to juggle plans, as it would be great to see you.

Everyonelovessparkles · 03/06/2018 08:53

Not heard of that book queenc, I guess with all these wardrobe ‘rules’ it’s probably best to just dip in and out and take the advice that suits you.

Nice white warehouse blouse.

DryWhiteagainW · 03/06/2018 08:54

Totally agree Everyone.....I love my winter clothes but in summer the options are endless.

QueenC you’re a mind reader Wink

QueenCyan · 03/06/2018 08:56

love this

DryWhiteagainW · 03/06/2018 09:10

Grin Everyone I’ve just read your suitcase question and it’s made me chuckle?
Depends on the type of holiday.
When the dcs were little we just crammed everything in the car and drove. Our first holiday flying with a baby....I took ALL of his baby food, nappies etc in a case Shock because in Spain they don’t have that stuff I was an idiot!!!!!!
Bare in mind we are 4 adults now. We are actually capable of packing light (for a weekend!!!!!) If we fly we take a case each......why not? Remember the cruise? We all went bonkers and were those annoying people at check in having to open cases and put stuff in our hand luggage .....the shame Grin. But, even though I have a chequered packing history, the inside of my cases always look amazing and organised thanks to some little packing bags from Ikea.

DryWhiteagainW · 03/06/2018 09:14

On QueenC i was looking at that khaki dress last night, very me indeed, but listened to Mara and Shop’s voices on my shoulder and decided to wait until the sale because I really don’t need it.Halo.

BUT GUESS WHAT YOUVE GINE AND MADE ME DO?!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!Wink

DryWhiteagainW · 03/06/2018 09:17

Will wear for work with these .. my SS work staple. Replaced after 5years last week.

QueenCyan · 03/06/2018 09:23

Gah, I gave up on fantasy shopping-nothings inspiring me.

I have a couple of recent purchases to confess to...
going out top
dress

My spring/autumn wardrobe is my favourite. Cropped jeans, sandals/ballet flats and a little blouse. Totally feels like me. I begrudge spending too much money on a high summer wardrobe as it gets ruined with suncream etc and hardly gets worn except a couple of weeks abroad and a couple of weeks here if lucky.

everyone we usually take 2 suitcases and a rucksack that’s usually filled with the swimming stuff (towels, rash vest etc). I’ve learnt on hot abroad holidays you don’t need many clothes as things can easily be rinsed out and dry v quickly. I also tend to live in a bikini and primark beach dress during the day. Glad BBB worked out.

Need to catch up on the post I lost last night...
shop good shopping!
marsha hows dd recovering?
mara big congratulations! Look forward to celebrating later this month.

So, I have a question. I have an interview next month. I don’t need to be uber smart but obviously I want to feel confident. I have plenty I could wear in my wardrobe for a winter interview but I’m a bit stumped if it’s hot. What would you all wear? I prefer heels for confidence but the only heeled sandals I have are ties around ankles so not really an interview look and also I’d be worried the bastard things would come undone. I don’t really want to buy anything new but am feeling a tad panicked...

QueenCyan · 03/06/2018 09:25

Glad to be of help dry. I’m so hoping they bring it out in navy. It’s very similar to my beloved Uniqlo dress which gets loads of wear and compliments.

DryWhiteagainW · 03/06/2018 09:54

QueenC my interviews have always taken place this time of year ...odd. I dress casual/smart for work. Normally wear black Capri trousers, nice blouse and ballet or pointy flats.

QueenCyan · 03/06/2018 10:04

So you’re happy in flats at an interview dry? I’m not a heels girl but I’ve always worn heels for interviews and can’t imagine wearing flats. My black heels are fairly open and would work without tights actually so maybe I’ll wear those with black capris and a blouse.

kittyhello · 03/06/2018 10:54

Queen are your flats smart? If so I'd wear them to an interview, I wouldn't bother buying a new pair of shoes. I love your dress, I'm quite partial to a flamingo print myself.

Dry the dress Queenb linked reminded me of this one I saw on the French thread

very you and me too although in France it's 30 euros Angry I still wear my black Charming shoes I've had for years and they still look good - such a great shoe.

Every glad your bag worked out well in the end. Re: luggage for a summer holiday the dc take their own carry on size suitcase and we check in 2 suitcases.

Mara how are you feeling about tomorrow? Excited, nervous?

Whilst on holiday, northern Europe but Caribbean weather I popped into H&M and bought:

a dress very similar to the one Lib wore the a MU last year, obvs I'm being the curve somewhat

and 2 of these dresses for easy holiday dressing in colours I would never normally wear but as they're pretty cheap I thought I'd test them out and am wearing one now

pink one and the green one they are huge so am wearing an XS which makes me feel good Grin

DryWhiteagainW · 03/06/2018 13:02

Kitty very you and me !
I love H and M jersey dresses for holiday daytime.
Do you remember the woman wearing the same dress as Liberty in the restaurant? Poor thing, looked very awkward.
