Thanks so much for all the interiors advise!!
Everyone I have been pinning like crazy, probably need to properly look at what I’ve pinned and draw out themes.
Dry agree we will do bathrooms first and then the kitchen. We could probably decorate upstairs before the kitchen work happens – must check out with builders if the downstairs work would impact much on upstairs… I’d love to have you over to help
.
Marsha I will definitely run colours past you. Agree we need to get in and see how the light is in the house to help decide that. Problem is that DH and I have different ideas about colours. He leans towards cooler shades and likes grey tones. I prefer warmer shades, not opposed to grey but I don’t like the monochrome look that seems very popular atm. I love the sofa you linked. There is a shop I like here – McKensie and Wills but it’s quite $$$ (typical) and their website is rubbish. But so many things I like there. I’ll get some photos of the stuff and link here next weekend. Love that sofa and that room picture.
Blingy you hit the nail on the head about the fear of making an expensive mistake. The electrics are happening first! We’re having a full rewire done this week, adding in lots of extra sockets and adding enough circuit boards to allow for lots of outdoor lighting and putting in fibre etc.
Viva so sorry to hear things are tough at home – sending you hugs. I mostly wore dresses in Auckland – easy in the heat and easy to smarten up or dress down.
How was the wedding dress shopping Blair? I’ll confess that I used the totally non stylish but very practical free bag Boots give out as my change bag
. It fitted neatly on the buggy and held everything. The Day Birger tote is nice but it wouldn’t work over the handlebars of a buggy and you need to be able to get at stuff easily. Not good scrabbling around the tote with one arm while the baby cries in the other.
