And would you be able to suggest me some alternatives? I need height and comfort for work. TIA!

I'm a big fan of Fly boots, am wearing mine right now at work! They're super comfy too.

Cliveybaby · 09/04/2018 13:26

yes! sorry... are they meant to be granny-chic?

Fairylea · 09/04/2018 13:26

I found these which I think are similar but nicer - www.clarks.co.uk/c/Pola-Sophia/p/26132152

Do you really need the height? Tons more choice in flat shoes for comfort!

goose1964 · 09/04/2018 13:27

They're distinctive, not sure if I love or hate them. Better in navy than black

lolaflores · 09/04/2018 13:27

At first glance, I thought yuck but I actually quit like the black and white pair. I think they look a bit flash and make the most of the wedge heel and give definition. In the other colour, they look a like a solid block and a bit too clunky for my tastes. That wedge shape is very trendy at the moment and I do feel for you with regards to height. It is hard to achieve at the risk of comfort.
I think they would look great with wide leg trousers

gubble · 09/04/2018 13:28

Yes!!

lolaflores · 09/04/2018 13:28

I have a feeling their is going to be a marmite reaction to these shoes.

snewsname · 09/04/2018 13:29

In a word yes, they are shocking. But I also sometimes wear shoes that I wouldn't choose to, if it wasn't for comfort.

Something like Clarks rosalyn wren? Sorry no link.

SuburbanRhonda · 09/04/2018 13:31

Yes, they’re horrible, sorry.

MagnifyingGlassSearch · 09/04/2018 13:37

I think I have moulded my taste to comfort too, but there's gotta be a middle ground!! Sorry snewsname but for me those Clarks shoes are horrible.

Fly London are either passionately loved or hated. I fall into the second camp but am a firm believer that if you like them then wear and love them!

MagnifyingGlassSearch · 09/04/2018 13:41

Okay, how about these ones?

I definitely prefer the toms

SuburbanRhonda · 09/04/2018 13:42

I have a colleague who wears Fly London all the time. Her posture is dreadful and I do wonder if the company did any research on whether that odd shape is healthy.

lolaflores · 09/04/2018 13:45

the last grey ones are good too. Bit easier on the eye

snewsname · 09/04/2018 13:48

The others are all better than your first one op. Have you ever seen that one in real life? It's an old lady shoe with a bit of a heel.

MagnifyingGlassSearch · 09/04/2018 13:53

I know I know but I am really struggling to find shoes that will see me through until it is warm enough to wear sandals. I am only 5.2" and don't feel dressed and groomed until I put my shoes on with a bit of height; yet, proper lady heels look silly on me, like a child dressed in her mum's clothes, even though I am in my mid 40s. The fact that I am carrying a little extra weight at the moment makes it even worse. I feel I need my feet to look a little chunkier to balance my hips!

ToftheB · 09/04/2018 15:57

Oh, I like those Ugg ones OP.

MarthaArthur · 09/04/2018 16:05

Doc martens persephone?

ShopoholicIn · 09/04/2018 16:13

Oooh love the uggs

PrimalLass · 09/04/2018 16:15

First ones - Horrid. Sorry.
Ugg boots - much nicer but don't look that comfy.
