And would you be able to suggest me some alternatives? I need height and comfort for work. TIA!

Um....

diddl · 09/04/2018 17:11

How about just a block type heel?

I think most wedges are horrible.

What clothes are they to wear with?

UpstartCrow · 09/04/2018 17:13

Be careful with the block heel, on small women they can look really clumpy.

IHaveBrilloHair · 09/04/2018 17:14

Eek, no, they are awful.
However I've just bought Pods and loads of people hate them, but I love them, so if you really like them, get them.

specialsubject · 09/04/2018 17:15

huge clunky heels, that will produce the inelegant arse out waddle as seen on the catwalks.

not good.

Lovelylovelyllamas · 09/04/2018 17:15

I like the Fly ones, but then I like granny shoes Blush but I think I’m rather outnumbered.

MagnifyingGlassSearch · 09/04/2018 17:15

I would happily take suggestions... links?

The UGGs look nice; The Fly ones are..cough..not to my taste.

EleanorRobinson · 09/04/2018 17:18

Well I love Fly shoes and boots and find them very comfortable. I think it’s because they’re really not actually that high in terms of the angle of your instep, once you take off the platform height.

RedDogsBeg · 09/04/2018 17:19

The Fly shoes are ugly and look very orthopaedic.

What are you planning on wearing with them? They might work with a boiler suit in a mechanic/garage type environment.

Tinkobell · 09/04/2018 17:19

Bit marmitey those. I know it's an oldies label but Hotter (Boutique collection) have height and great comfort.....no-one needs to know where you got them!

OldSchoolPhotograph · 09/04/2018 17:20

I'm not so sure about them in shoe style but I have several pairs of Fly London wedge boots as they're the only boots I can wear that don't aggravate my arthritic big toe. I'm sure this accolade will have you all rushing to buy some!

PinkAvocado · 09/04/2018 17:21

I really like the Toms.

TentUpFirstBunkUpLater · 09/04/2018 17:27

Shudder EnvyEnvyEnvy Not envy

At all of them

MagnifyingGlassSearch · 09/04/2018 17:28

I can't find any 'boutique' shoes or boots in the Hotter website

fwiw

I've really fallen out of love with FLY.

I have 3 pairs of boots - all with different style heels / soles a pair of shoes and 2 pairs of sandals.

All are faulty or didn't last a season. Those wedge heels go through really quickly and theres a cement block / stone inside which then rattles and scrapes. No way of resoling to prolong life.

I really like the FLY look but would never buy again...

MarthaArthur · 09/04/2018 17:38

Did you have look at the doc martens op? I really want some haha

diddl · 09/04/2018 17:38

I was thinking about this sort of thing

SurfnTerfFantasticmissfoxy · 09/04/2018 17:39

They are fairly hideous

MagnifyingGlassSearch · 09/04/2018 17:45

Hi Martha I did thanks. I have a pair of Dr Martens (wedge shoe/boots) and they are lovely but very narrow for me.

Diddl I would look like I'm on fancy dress if I was to wear those... They look line dancing shoes to me...

I like them. I prefer the navy. I think on they'd prob look even better than in pic. I don't think they are granny at all

MarthaArthur · 09/04/2018 17:53

I had a pair like the one in the op. They looked nicer in person but were very broad fitting.

Wheresthebeach · 09/04/2018 17:55

Yes...those and the UGGs are nice.
