Very new to Hush and short time lurker who would love to join the thread!
I noticed this morning that John Lewis are also doing the same reductions that are on the Hush website. Apologies if this is old news!

So... my first Hush purchases were on Saturday, a pair of cropped harem trousers and a Stella star t-shirt. Annoyingly the weather has gone cold again so haven't had a chance to wear them yet!!

Well, Tara dress is a no. I'd need Spanx to hoist my bum up and squash my section overhang, and there is no way I'm wearing these with a summer dress.

The Monaco trousers. Hmm. Have already sent them back once, decided to have another look at the reduced price. However, I accidentally ordered a 14 rather than a 12, and the consequence is they sit a good three inches lower - right on my hip really, rather then at my belly button. This solves the short leg issue and they look much better, but I need to assess the back - don't want a dropped crotch look either, which I would think is a risk. Does anyone know if Lyocell is prone to shrinking?

The jeans I ordered (deliberately in a 14), wouldn't go past my hips. I think me and hush jeans just don't get on. I'm wearing size 12 jeans from M&S, and they are decidedly loose.

Vanity sizing or true to size? I'm an M&S 12 - what would that be in Hush?

Probably a S is some things and an M in others. Sizing is a bit hit and miss!

Well I am a 10-12 and I also have small, xsmall and medium in my wardrobe.

Bought one of the yellow slub tshirts today seems a bit thin but still, a nice shape -in two minds whether to keep - has anyone else got it? Does it wash ok? Without shrinking?

They wash fine and totally keep their shape. It is thin though and for me rather see through depending on the colour. They ae a good fit but pricey for what they are. I have a white, charcoal and blue one and a couple with stripes.

My sale items came today .

The Lacey jumper is utterly fab .. I just knew it would be . Loved it when it first came up but I wasn't going to pay £99 for it.. they do seem to have plenty in though, maybe a further reduction in a couple of weeks ( I may keep a look out )

The navy Adelaide Top would be great apart from the fact it is so tight in the armpit ( Why? its a loose top , everywhere else is really loose ..I dont have fat armpits!! ) All the larger sizes are sold out , ( i ordered a 12 ), perhaps this is why..?

I returned both Sylvie jumpers today ( S from Hush & M from JL if anyone wants one ) I just didn't love them enough.

The Adelaide will be going straight back tomorrow plus the Lacey in S that I didn't keep... it is close fitting and the M looked better I thought

I'm really annoyed because the harems I got at John Lewis on Tuesday I've just discovered have the security tag still attached. Which means I've got to go back into town to get it removed. Grrr

And annoyed that my jumper I ordered on Monday am is still sitting in the sorting office in Leeds - everyone else seems to have got their stuff so quickly. This means it'll come tomorrow when I'm at work so I'll miss it.

They had a larger Adelaide top back in today but have decided not to bother ..

What do you think of these? Managed to snaffle both in a 12, but I'm still smarting after my daughter saying I looked like I was channelling Hilary Clinton in the Audery I got for my interview. They are just SO handy for making it look like I'm not wearing the same trousers or shift dress every presentation I do though.

I love the tweed jacket ilove but all gone in my size. It would look great for work but also with jeans and a t-shirt like the model is wearing.
So to console myself I've just ordered the V neck Tara in white/blue and the black/white striped ruched skirt (which I already have in black & burgundy, plus the crossover in black).

... TBH , they are not my thing, I did see the pink in JL once , though and I seem to remember it was ok, just not anything I would wear.. they are classics though for work and a good jacket can really lift formal outfit

They aren't totally me either, Laska. I just have so few work clothes that fit and I'm reluctant to buy a lot when I'm planning my (second!) retirement. This new contract though is going to require a bit more engagement with senior people than I realised, so I need to be relatively smart, but not 'suit smart'. I've got the Frances trousers in both colours, a few silk tees, and I've bought two Phoebe dresses from Boden in Navy and black. Add in the Audery I bought for the interview and these two jackets and I'm hoping that I will be able to look as if I have more than one work outfit. The 12s are a tad too small yet but given they don't need to fasten I'm hoping they will work for me right through till Autumn. I really just want to live in my Amies and a big jumper!
