the Alexis jumper came, its nice but not £79 nice. its going back i think. I have just picked up DGs for weekend .so back later!

neveradullmoment99 · 13/04/2018 14:06

The ombre sweat came. Its beautiful and I really like it but think I am going to order it in the medium to compare as I find the small is just not as comfy and sloppy as my heart jumper although I am sure that has grown in the wash. I had also ordered the stripe linen V-neck and like you laska, while its beautiful and fresh, it is so thin a bit like the material of the bf jumper and I am not sure that I am in love with it. I think its a bit 'ordinary.' I have also put that back in the packaging. Also ordered the star jeans to try and my dd absolutely loves them so will probably keep. They are neater than my other bf [website advises to size up] but think they may loosen out and I want to lose a little more weight so would keep that size. I ordered the pale blue tee and its lovely but its just a tee and at £27 the price bothers me. Also ordered the dark blue wash bf jeans and am wearing them. I love them so are keepers. Am going to sell another pair of bf jeans that I have from hush that I never wear to justify keeping both! I still have the pale blue love jumper to see and may choose between the ombre and it - we will see. They are currently sitting at my mums house and I cba to drive down to pick them up but may do later.

The Alexis jumper looks lovely but it kind of reminds me of 80's style jumpers laska. Something about the line around the V-neck and the stripes reminds me of jumpers my brothers used to wear then! I do love the colour combo though and the sparkle through it.

Laska, the Alexis jumper looks nice with the Santana skirt in the green?

I love the ombré sweat, wearing it today, although just Skyped my DD who is coming to us for the weekend and she said threatingly 'I'm not really bringing any clothes except underwear, because I thought I could just borrow a couple of your Hush tops, and it means I can travel light'. Grr. I sent the striped linen jumper back the other week - liked it in theory, but the reality just didn't work for me. I'm still dithering about the linen boyfriend jumpers. They are packaged up but haven't made it back to the PO and the box isn't sealed yet...I'm tempted to have another try of hush jeans with my gift voucher. I've never got on either them before, but wondering if they are worth a re-try. Or I could send the linen boyfriends back and buy jeans - after all, that money was spent in a March, so it's gone anyway.

ilovecherries · 13/04/2018 15:37

What do you think of this for Cyprus? Will I look as if I'm wearing my nightie? www.hush-uk.com/womenswear/daywear/dresses_skirts/alanis_dress_outline_sunstar_white_black.htm

DavetheCat2001 · 13/04/2018 15:42

I think that's really pretty cherries

Perfect for a holiday and nothing like a nightie!

neveradullmoment99 · 13/04/2018 15:46

Its a fantastic dress cherries. I bought it for my holiday in Italy a couple of years ago [ in a different colour] and it was so fantastic. So cool and light and I felt great in it with sandals or trainers. My Aunt bought one too. She is 60 plus.

neveradullmoment99 · 13/04/2018 15:46

Sorry that should have said 70 plus.

Off topic but I was completely and utterly gutted today because my new phone got broken. My dc had got a huge pebble from the beach this week and they put it onto my week old Samsung 9 phone [cry]. It had been lying on the table and obv the kids shifted it and put it on top of my phone without thinking. I lifted my new phone with trepidation only two find two large cracks on the screen [cry] So gutted until my dh peeled off my glass screen protector!!! Thank god!!!! So so so relieved.

Never the Alexis looks ok with the green santana but not fabi thought. (sadly i am nothing like the model). But i will tryit on again in Sunday after dgs goes home. However pretty sure its going back.. it is a bit 80s. Btw the S is loose and v relaxed fit on me ! ..

Laska5772 · 13/04/2018 16:16

Phew about your phone *never( i just have the basic samsung )

Peanutbuttercups21 · 13/04/2018 16:17

Just bought the Amie joggers in black, and think I will be wearing them loads, love them. They are above the ankle for me, as I am tall, but I think it looks nice and everyone is wearing cropped/odd-length trews these days anyway Grin

Also the Marseille shorts, to replace a pair from 2 years ago, they are oddly flattering (well cut), some shorts can make your bum look huge, but these don't Smile

Laska5772 · 13/04/2018 16:19

The Alanis type dresses are brilliant for hot holidays as is the panel maxi . I have 3! Two were bought in sale last year

Thebirthdayparty · 13/04/2018 17:53

Has anyone tried the washed Ivy dress? The reviews all say it is too short but I am short and that isn’t a problem.

Also does anyone have the babydoll dress? I should probably keep with midi dresses but I don’t get hot weather where I am so the wouldn’t be worn much....

neveradullmoment99 · 13/04/2018 17:56

I ordered it and returned it. It is really nice. Just not what I was after. It is quite short as a dress but if you are shorter than me at 5.5, it shouldn't be an issue.

Never what dark jeans did you buy?

I am torn about the Holly jeans. I like them apart from the wash (verging on 1980s stonewashed) and the star on the back pocket which I think cheapens them butvtge fit is great and the lighter colour good for our cool summers.

Brummiegirl15 · 13/04/2018 17:58

Afternoon all

Hoping for advice as I'm new to Hush also, I'm normally a bit of a Mint Velvet addict. Have been trawling through the website and of course this thread.

I'm thinking of the Monaco trousers in grey and wondered if anyone had them and thoughts?

I'm also a solid size 14 so would size 14 ok or is it worth sizing down?

Have loved reading about everyone's hauls though!

Hush...we just can't get enough! S/S18 Mark 2 :)
Thebirthdayparty · 13/04/2018 17:59

Would it be ok with a cardigan thrown over it Never. I am short but I don’t like my knees.....

neveradullmoment99 · 13/04/2018 18:00

That's interesting you should say that because I sold a pair of holly's on ebay for that exact reason. I wish they did them in a darker wash.
I am currently wearing the dark blue boyfriend jeans. I really like them. I have a bit of a tum due to my pregnancies over the years and they fit nicely. Some may find the waist too big. I find them comfy but they are rigid denim [not stretch] A lot of the other crop jeans are nice. I don't have them but like the ones with the words down the side and the frayed hems. I do have the ones with the line down the side. I love the wash of them but was initially unsure of the line but it is becoming fashionable atm to have this [ not that I care about that tbh]

Maybe I will stick with the midis. I feel better wearing them.

The bf jeans look good. Should I try them and return the Hollys? Probably.

I tried the black washed chinos and they were HUGE. I find the ordering, returning and exchanging process very very long and tedious and frankly offputting.

neveradullmoment99 · 13/04/2018 19:34

It is off putting but I am a hush 'friend' so get free premium delivery unless its the sale so it generally arrives the next day. I never bother with exchanges.
