Who was it that had problems with folded 'lines' they couldn't get out on the the grey wide top and Hush refunded them ? Ive found as mine had been washed more that there are definite lines in the fabric.. but its more like fabric-weave stripes .. it doesn't bother me, but they are noticeable

ilovecherries · 12/04/2018 20:41

Ohhhh. Ruched skirt...

ilovecherries · 12/04/2018 20:41

That was me, Laska! It was like wearing a Venetian blind!

neveradullmoment99 · 12/04/2018 20:43

I found lines in mine too Laska when I was taking it out of the washing machine and it caught the light. It looked like it was part of the fabric and you couldn't really notice it. Not sure if it was cherries that had the problem with it.

Oh I was wearing it to yoga with my amies and it looked nice too.

Ive got the black ruched skirt also, but I wear my H&M one more!.... I ll try it on again tomorrow , I may think of ebaying it .

Nearlyadoctor · 12/04/2018 21:16

Gosh I go to work for the day, come back and this thread has moved on 4 pages!!

Dave I think everything looks great on you, particularly the Venice beach dress. You and Ella definitely have very similar figures, so I'm sure the star jeans will also look great - I've worn mine loads already.

No noticeable lines on my grey wide top as yet ladies, I did look at it carefully back in the autumn when Cherries posted her pics, but I have to say unusually for me I've worn the black more - generally with skinnies and boots.

DavetheCat2001 · 12/04/2018 21:30

Thanks Nearly.

The Venice dress is very different to what I would normally go for but I think it'll be nice for the summer with either trainers or my red saltwater sandals.

Glad you are loving your star jeans too..again the boyfriend style is something I have never really tried before..this thread is a revelation! Grin

Laska5772 · 12/04/2018 21:38

But an expensive revelation though Dave, that is if you are anything like me the rest of us! Wink

DavetheCat2001 · 12/04/2018 21:50

I am I'm afraid Laska..I'll go for ages without buying anything and then have a massive binge!

I've only just started working part time again after 18 months, and money has been super tight.

My mum gave me some cash for my birthday though so that went towards my latest haul!

Loving this thread!

DavetheCat2001 · 13/04/2018 08:21

Just wanted to post a couple more pics if the VB dress.

Does it look ok with my Gola's do you think, or is it too much of a colour clash?

Second one is with my Saltwaters.

Ellapaella · 13/04/2018 08:36

Both look great, I particularly like it with the saltwaters. Would also go really well with white trainers/pumps.

neveradullmoment99 · 13/04/2018 08:36

I like it with the first trainers you had on before these pics. It looks fine with all of the choices that you have posted. Nothing looks awful. I do think you would be best with neutral trainers rather than the golas and while i love saltwaters ( i have those) and the look fine because they are t-bar shoes they cut across the ankle and have the effect of shortening the leg. I would choose slides/ flip flops or chunky sandal without an ankle strap.

OP posts:
DavetheCat2001 · 13/04/2018 08:48

Thanks both...I think neutral trainers are probably better too.

DavetheCat2001 · 13/04/2018 08:49

I thought the SW's made me look a bit dumpy from the side never.

ilovecherries · 13/04/2018 09:03

Well, I'm not sure if this is Angry, orHalo, but my question about styling the wide jersey top was redundant. I put it on today and it's far far too big, even for an oversized item. Sleeves have become so loose they are half way done my hands. I really liked the right sleeves with the loose body before but now the sleeves are all flappy as well. Ditto two similar tops I bought from Cos in September, and a Hush long line tee. I know this sounds ridiculous, but when you've been obese for decades, there is no apparent link in my brain that losing weight will mean dropping dress sizes. Once I got into 'straight' sizes, i.e. about an 18, I somehow didn't expect to get any smaller, even though I was still losing weight. The concept of owning clothes with a S or a 10 on the label is completely alien to me. I think these are for other people. Very odd. A 4 new items for the eBay pile!

Thebirthdayparty · 13/04/2018 10:41

I prefer the dress with the trainers. I too find salt waters dumpy looking.

Nearlyadoctor · 13/04/2018 11:03

Dave I liked the dress best in the original pic with the grey/ silver trainers!

DavetheCat2001 · 13/04/2018 11:04

Thanks for the comments gang x

anyone got anything new through recently?

DavetheCat2001 · 13/04/2018 11:10

ooop...just seen the rainbow jumper is in stock but only in XS.

I have ordered it anyway as if too small I can send it back, and I am pretty small up top. The model is the same height so fingers crossed as I love it!!

Margomyhero · 13/04/2018 11:36

I'm new to Hush. Not yet ordered anything but have been eyeing up the website.

I need a bit of an overhaul - and am longing to get into some spring/summer outfits. It's been a long dark 6 months of winter ugh.

How are the sizings? I am an athletic build - 12/14 on bottom - 10/12 in t shirts, 12 if no stretch.

neveradullmoment99 · 13/04/2018 12:45

Marj sizes really vary. If you have something you like, we can maybe advise if someone has it :) and with most of our spends, someone is most likely too !!!!
Generally though 10-12 like me - small should fit you.
Bottoms can be generous esp amie joggers or elasticated waist trousers - 10 for me. Jeans and other rigid denim with no stretch definetly a 14 if you are a 12-14 but it will be style dependant. If the jeans have stretch you may get away with the 12's.

OP posts:
neveradullmoment99 · 13/04/2018 12:46

So trousers would be a 12 for you . I find them generous.

I prefer the trainers Dave gives it a sport-lux kind of vibe. Gorgeous colour on you btw.
