No, I've discovered an exchange takes at least three weeks, probably more, from day I posted to having the new item back in my hands. It's just not worth it. If I can afford to sit out the money, I just reorder. If I can't afford it, or I'm in the huff with them about tardy refunds, as I was last week, I just don't bother.

neveradullmoment99 · 13/04/2018 19:44

They were really great with refunds for me before the Easter break. Then it all goes pear shaped. I just don't think they are good at handling backlogs due to sales/holidays or snow days!

Is it better then if not sure with size to order both? Rather than order something then exchange?

Thebirthdayparty · 13/04/2018 20:05

Definitely order both - your usual size and the size below. With Hush the clothes are all sized up!

Margomyhero · 13/04/2018 23:38

Thanks for the sizing advice. Very helpful.

I think there is a Hush in my my nearest John Lewis so may go have a look and try on..

DavetheCat2001 · 14/04/2018 10:00

Hooray the sun has finally shown itself!!!

First Hush item getting a wearing today Smile

That is lovely, Dave - I like lilac and am tempted by the linen (I think) jumper in that shade.

Brummie I have the Monaco trousers in black and the grey (it is more of a blue-grey colour IRL). Honestly I find I wear the black more as the grey is harder to pair with other colours other than black and white. They are perfect for summer though and I recently wore my black pair to travel to and from Spain.
Definitely go a size down.

SoyYo · 14/04/2018 11:24

Lots of Hushite chat! Back after a long slog working in Paris and I brought the sunshine back!
Wore burgundy ruched skirt to office one day and black/blue lace skirt with black v neck (A/W 17 purchases) and new Mint Velvet black kitten heels to business dinner, got lots of compliments and felt good.
Just back from Pilates, decided to wear black harems instead of leggings and about to go out to garden as DH has cut grass for the first time/need to get some pot planting done.
Cheered up no end by sunshine!

Dave you look fabulous in all the purchases, specially Holly jeans and dress 👍

Re wide grey top, it's one of my least worn items I love its coziness but it's not flattering on me...if I do wear it I tend to pair it with skinnies.

Agree with comments upthread regarding v neck linen top, I returned mine, too flimsy looking and if I'd kept I would have had to size down as M was huge.

Tempted by bf jeans now, but I've barely worn the side embroidered jeans so must stay focused!
Monaco trousers were a return for me (grey colour) but I may try again in black after reading Miffys comments I didn't hate them just felt a bit meh about them and agree the light fabric is great for summer

Lots of lovely chat as always, but trying to hold off purchases till sale time. I still haven't worn my Bryce culottes or Fitzgerald jacket Blush, but hope my next Paris trip week after next will see their first outing

Hi Hushistas, I'm looking for some Hush related advice please? Are the star jeans true to size or should I size up or down? Thank you!

Nearlyadoctor · 14/04/2018 11:48

Red I'm between a 8-10 in jeans and after some of the reviews I sized up to the 10 but there was too much material around the crotch so I reordered the 8 and they're much better. I've got very definite hips/ thighs as well so I would say fairly true to size.

Ellapaella · 14/04/2018 13:13

I have the star jeans and agree they are true to size.

neveradullmoment99 · 14/04/2018 14:40

It depends upon how baggy you want them to look Red They are my latest purchase and the 12's fit fine but they aren't slouchy. If you want a more slouchy look, go up a size. All of my other bf jeans are 12's but I would say that these are a neater fit than last seasons. The dark blue ones are also more generous and more like last seasons boyfriend jeans.

Definetly don't size down in them. They are rigid without stretch [ unless you are between sizes like nearly.]

Green Que Sera Tee arrived. I like it but it's very thin for £35. I'm keeping, also keeping my fingers crossed no holes appear!

neveradullmoment99 · 14/04/2018 14:46

It looks good. I have it but haven't worn it yet!!! It is quite thin but I can forgive this because it isn't see through.

Ellapaella · 14/04/2018 15:06

It's a nice colour, makes a change from my usual neutrals. I was hoping to wear it this afternoon but suns gone in and it's chilly again now Sad

Thebirthdayparty · 14/04/2018 15:23

Ella What jeans are you wearing please?

Ellapaella · 14/04/2018 15:27

Birthday I got these when I was in M & S on Easter Monday buying new school trousers for ds, they were on the clearance rail, I got them for £7! The label just says 'Skinny' but they have a very high waist which I love and the denim is not stretchy which is also what I prefer.

Thebirthdayparty · 14/04/2018 15:38

They look great on you!

Ellapaella · 14/04/2018 15:44

Thank you Smile
They are great jeans, the kind of random find that works out really well, I didn't even try them on in the shop. These and my star jeans are the best jeans I've found in years.

neveradullmoment99 · 14/04/2018 17:07

Inspired by your shoes Ella, I saw a similar pair on ebay and made an offer. I got the Mint velvet suede stud shoes for £49.99. They are currently on the website for £89!!!! They are the adele metallic stud flat shoes. Btw, they still have them left if anyone interested! I sized up to a 7 as I have fairly wide feet. I do hope they fit!!!

neveradullmoment99 · 14/04/2018 17:10

Some other sellers are selling them on ebay in size 5 etc.. for about £50 odd pound!

Ella are those the Primark shoes you mentioned a while ago? Sorry if not - it's just I saw them there when the weather was still crap and was quite tempted - if they are, how are they for actually walking around? Are they comfy? They look lovely!

Ellapaella · 14/04/2018 17:38

They are from Primark, they cost about £6! Yes they are perfectly comfortable for day to day wear, I had a pair last summer, wore them loads and at the end of the summer they were looking a bit worn but pretty good for the price.

SeekEveryEveryKnownHidingPlace · 14/04/2018 17:45

Thanks Ella - dd clocked them as nice across the shop and I thought it was the same shoes!
