You probably know the drill by now - come and join us and to talk about perfume. We're friendly and smell lovely.

I share an Amazon Prime account with DH, so in fairness I do get to see the regular unfathomable electronic shite he purchased (what ARE all these wires and chargers and speakers FOR? And another pair of headphones? Really?)...whereas my eBay account is mine all mine mwahahaha...

CountFosco · 29/03/2018 23:04

was scared you were going to announce you'd set-up a perfume thread on Netmums and would be leaving us

Surely the Nethuns only wear Pink Mingers? We could give them the ones we didn't like from TBS I suppose.

AlexisColbysFANCYfrock · 29/03/2018 23:06

NetMums Perfumista Thread 🤣

I wonder if it exists? I bet they do loads of nice swaps, though. Course you can try my LVEB, hun...

OneNightTimeMenaceStrikesBack · 29/03/2018 23:10

ahhhh, i'm so tempted to buy something, anything but i really really shouldn't!!!

I have more than enough to choose from every day but the lure, oh god the lure

MrsGruber · 30/03/2018 00:25

Found a perfume thread. Good news-they've not been buying up the MGs. Grin

TK Maxx tip - if you're looking online, always check the men's section too!
Sarah of 4160 Tuesdays referred to me recently as one of her best customers Blush
Oops 🙊

mrsreynolds · 30/03/2018 08:12

Mrsg 🤣🤣🤣 how DARE you!??
I have some admittedly low standards 🤣🤣

Both the Amazon and eBay account are mine. All mine!! Mmwwaaahhhhaaaaahhhhaaaa twirls evil moustache

Ive sold a lush bundle on fb! (I'm now boycotting them due to their stance on self ID) so I have a bit more to spend on perfume this month 👍

I'm quite excited to think what my next fb will be 😁

I've got 2 bottles on the way from PP and samples from 4610 and the MG lemon - good to know it's hefty mrsg - could still do some damage if lobbed at a head! 🤕

mrsreynolds · 30/03/2018 08:21

Sotd....hmm....still decorating so I need something to counter emulsion paint 🤔

Groceries being delivered soon so I should go and get dressed really!

I'm thinking of asking dh for a perfume making day at 4610 for my b day in October 😁

And more sexiest scent for our anniversary in May as I think I will have run out by then 😣

I'm thinking pp opium to counteract the paint fumes??....

pestilentialboundary · 30/03/2018 08:51

MG purse bottles lobbed at the head are reasonably likely to maim at the very least.

The next heavy weight bottle guaranteed to fell someone would be from Union, another make that seems to have gone under. No longer available at Selfridges, only from Roullier White. Nice juice in the bottles too. At least half a kg.

Not that I'm planning to murder anyone you understand...but the vintage poison bottles were fairly hefty.
An obsession bottle lobbed with intent is quite heavy too
I may have spent a bit too long thinking about this

CountFosco · 30/03/2018 10:27

SotD MG lemon. Really enjoying this, could easily become an interesting regular for work.

auberginesrus · 30/03/2018 10:43

Happy Easter all, I'm having a lazy morning, SOTD is Yardley Jade

MrsGruber · 30/03/2018 10:57

Happy Easter perfumistas!

No SOTD yet. I'm still in my PJs with a bit of a headache, but DH has taken the DC off to a football match today, so I am enjoying a lovely quiet house and doing absolutely nothing. I might have just eaten quite a few chocolates from a box I got for my birthday with my morning cuppa in bed Grin. So glad this term is over!

MrsGruber · 30/03/2018 11:13

Have broken out the MG Lemon (haven't worn this for a while as DD lived in it last year, but she's gone all oud-y now). Also Empreinte - got this out to weigh the bottle top. The MGs look to be 'paying tribute' to the Courreges design but their top's aren't weighted (someone did a risk assessment Smile?). I usually layer Empreinte - nice to try it on it's own again. It's a genius soft soapy mossy leather. 2012 reformulation smells good.

Am also in MG Lemon, which arrived this morning. Am not completely sold at this point but that may be because on a day like this (damp, grey, meh) I'd usually go for something a little cosier and spicier. It seems a bit one-dimensional atm but it's certainly not unpleasant! Agree with count that it has 'inoffensive office scent' all over it, which is not a bad thing by any means.

AlexisColbysFANCYfrock · 30/03/2018 12:53

I couldn't decide on a SOTD earlier, so rummaged around for something I haven't worn in much/for ages and thought I'd give Chanel Chance Eau Fraiche a whirl. Haven't worn it in maybe 2 years.

Regretting my choice a bit now. I really like the opening, which is a big burst of citrus with a touch of flowers (hyacinth I think). Quite fresh and light and Spring-like. But the dry down gets a bit aftershavey. Cant be bothered to scrub, though, so I'll stick with it and swap for something else tonight.

AlexisColbysFANCYfrock · 30/03/2018 12:54

And on that note, I'd love to find a Chanel I really like, but its yet to happen. No.19 is the closest for me, and I have a soft spot for Coco as I wore it in my youth. But I find Chanel perfumes really underwhelming.

PerfumeIsAMessage · 30/03/2018 12:55

I am in Paris rose de doodah whatsit flanker thingy. It is lush. A juicy rosey rose. It is actually a fake. The ebay seller said she had acquired about 10 bottles and they were definitely fakes. It's bloody lovely for £6 and reminiscent of original Paris.

I am also arguing with a German ebayer. Humph. The Envol never arrived. The ebayer says it did, and I signed for it. The ebay track your package thing says it is still en route, whereas the Deutsche Post thingy says it has been delivered. I asked also as to how come the order details say it's coming from Taiwan/Hong Kong (which it did), and they got even more humphy with me and said it's coming from Germany.

I'm not answering them anymore but guess I will have to cut my £9 losses.

AlexisColbysFANCYfrock · 30/03/2018 13:03

Thats annoying, PIAM. is it Parise Premieres de Roses you're wearing? I absolutely love that! I layer it with the original Paris when I'm craving big, blousy roses. Gorgeous.

AlexisColbysFANCYfrock · 30/03/2018 13:03

Paris

pestilentialboundary · 30/03/2018 13:26

SotD is Agent Provocateur.

AlexisColbysFANCYfrock · 30/03/2018 13:44

PerfumeIsAMessage · 30/03/2018 14:06

That's the one Fancy. Lovely.

ISpentTheDayInBed · 30/03/2018 14:22

I recently tried MG Lemon and didn't like. Was tempted to try it again today and it smelt totally different and I liked it. Got a bottle for £15 as they had another 20% off event at the Fragrance Shop.
