The poor model looks mortified! I hope she was paid a lot for this career suicide

Even on the model it’s dreadful.

What were they thinking?!

It's awful. I love that in the Instagram feed a pp posted a link to there's loads of people saying they love it - one even says autograph just keeps getting better and better Hmm. The final comment is someone saying how horrible it is and they wouldn't wear it to put the bins out. Am guessing that might be someone from here Grin

Jesus that's awful. I clicked thinking it wouldn't be THAT bad.

More fool me.

Colour block on the prairie.
Made from your grannies old crushed velvet curtains and a chamois leather.

Yy to the pp who mentioned m&s doing some decent, non crackly and reasonably priced capsule type work wear. It’s the holy grail for me and something I’m sure they’d be capable of.

I bought better than that dress from the hippy shop circa 93.

And yes, the price 👀!!

I think the model actually looks good! But, she's a model and probably not your average M&S customer ( at least not my local M&S!)

Plus her dress is different as PP have said. The blue material is easier to pull off.

M&S must be conducting a social experiment of some sort [clutches straws]; in our local shop, one has to walk through the house-of horrors display to get to the food hall. Had to tell DC to close their eyes - didn't want little darlings traumatised, quite frankly - however, they were squealing with laughter at the' Halloween costumes'. Hmm

I went into a big M&S recently looking for a nice plain top to wear to a dinner. It was busy but womens were mostly gasping and saying 'look at that!).

There was a member of staff there directing the clothing displays - wearing 3/4 length leather very wide legged trousers and shiny platform shoes. She looked very, erm, 'London Fashion Week' Clapham Junior School.

Darcey Bussell will pull it off.
I have seen her on screen wearing the Pink Dress - she made it look good.

I think the M&S design team has been infiltrated by a competitor who is clearly having a laugh. Either that or the design team are playing a long running game of dare.

Looks like a textile student has raided the 'scraps' box and come up with this patchwork cover up.

It's a revival from a 1970s dressing up box.
