Having seen the hi-vis and oversized section in this Guardian article I am eagerly awaiting the M&S must have hazmat suit for A/W this year. It’s bound to be really special.

Flomper · 10/03/2018 20:41

dear god that is repulsive. They must sneak these in for a laugh surely? What magazine was it in? I really want to see someone wearing it. This nust be an April fools joke mustnt it? Everything is wrong with it. The fabric. The color combinations. The weird belt. The hideous fit. The horrible asymmetry. Must be a bet. No one thats been to art school could legitimately come up with that.

Yellowbird54321 · 10/03/2018 20:42

Bloody hell that is bad and there is just so fucking much of it!

AnduinsGirl · 10/03/2018 20:42

There is literally no style this could appeal to! And fuck you MN - this is now angrily flashing up as my sidebar advert. :/

MockneyReject · 10/03/2018 20:45

Oh, FFS. Why?
What?
When?
WHY?

Flomper · 10/03/2018 20:49

they literally couldn't pay a model to wear that I see.

PragmaticWench · 10/03/2018 20:52

It looks like a textile GCSE project, where the poor pupil only has gruesome materials to choose from.

HoarseMackerel · 10/03/2018 20:53

There's a lot going on in this dress! None of it good, none of it good.......Confused

BishopstonFaffing · 10/03/2018 20:53

It's still not as bad as this hairy chest dress.

BishopstonFaffing · 10/03/2018 20:54

And it's been reduced from £300 to £150.

borntobequiet · 10/03/2018 20:58

I can assure you that no one would have bought this in 1965. Or 1975 either. Or any decade I have lived through.
It's such a shame - one of my wardrobe staples is a plain black, knee length, v neck, sweater dress, 50% wool and 50% acrylic. It has a St Michael label. Every time I wear it people say what a great dress. That was what M&S used to sell.

Thistlebelle · 10/03/2018 22:38

Bishopston I can barely breathe after seeing the “hairy chest dress”!!! GrinGrinGrin

Where the hell is selling that?

Do you think there were just no women at all involved in that “design”.

blueshoes · 10/03/2018 23:33

Hair is front and centre of that shaggy treat

goose1964 · 10/03/2018 23:39

I quite like the style but it's the really awful colour scheme let's it down , bet it would be much nicer in complimentary colours

RoseWhiteTips · 10/03/2018 23:50

That droopy hem thing is going to be out of date incredibly soon.
But yes, agree M&S have surpassed themselves this time.🤣

Giggorata · 10/03/2018 23:51

Wtf are M&S thinking? Words cannot describe the hideous mismatch of the materials and the unflattering style....

JennyHolzersGhost · 10/03/2018 23:55

Thanks OP, I needed a laugh.
M&S, congratulations, you’ve surpassed the pink blancmange dress - something I didn’t think was even possible. Flowers

YTho · 10/03/2018 23:57

It's hideous.

CotswoldStrife · 10/03/2018 23:57

Wow, well I wasn't expecting that when I clicked on the link.

What magazine was it in? I just searched to see if I could find a photo of someone wearing it and I know you'll be shocked to hear that I haven't yet.

SurfnTerfFantasticmissfoxy · 11/03/2018 00:00

Good god. I cannot think of a single person that would suit 🤮

Ollivander84 · 11/03/2018 00:31

I was going to offer to try it on and take photos. But it's out of stock everywhere near me. Shame Grin

BishopstonFaffing · 11/03/2018 06:47

Thistlebelle - it's another classic design by Wolf & Badger. Everything they sell is hideous.

BishopstonFaffing · 11/03/2018 06:49

They are also responsible for this

BishopstonFaffing · 11/03/2018 06:52

I stand corrected. They sell lots of designers' stuff. It's like they've gathered all the idiots in one handy website.

whoareyoukidding · 11/03/2018 07:03

I like it

...said no one, ever. I now have it running up the sides of my screen in an ad, too. Presumably Marks have a team of buyers who go out and choose what to stock. If they'd have shown me that dress, I would have told them for free 'don't stock it'.
