Can we have a “nice stuff at M&S” thread”?

It’s 20% off code this weekend so I’m off to get shoes and socks for DS, a couple of bras for me (they fit me well as long as I fend off any helpful attempts by their fitters to resize me into a 34AA) and some camisoles/vests to layer under stuff.

And possibly some crazy suede stilettos for work as well (they never leave the carpet and only have to walk for twenty yards at a time so I can go mad with height)

On the grounds that M&S are a nice enough British owned company who pay their taxes and AFAIK have decent working conditions, and the high street is having a tough time at the moment, is anyone up to the challenge of suggesting other hidden gems that would be a good buy with the discount code?

I keep trying to sign up for the M&S newsletter ( and the occasional 'Friends and Family' 20% off they send ).
Sadly I never get an emails despite them saying thank you for signing up

Do you all know about Try Tuesday? You tell them your height, dimensions, style etc and get a monthly tailored email with 3 outfits from M&S. It's pretty good.

I have a couple of codes going spare and offered them to the people who seemed to have asked first and not got one but haven't heard anything. So if anyone still wants one I'll send them to the next 2 people who ask for one.

Sneer away MelonKim. A £12.50 black polyester jumper from M&S has been a staple of my wardrobe this winter. Fabulously soft, washes really well and fits very nicely.

I’ve just been in to town to get a miscellaneous selection of practical stuff for me and the DC but was partially thwarted by the fact that of the literally hundreds of various basic viscose ribbed jumpers in stock in several colours, none of them were in sizes below 20. I realise that size 20+ women also need to buy jumpers, but not on Oxford Street, judging from all the many other women in the store,

I like those dresses Thing ... I'm often baffled by M&S descriptions however. Is that cutwork dress really a "tunic"? And that first drape dress is really not what I'd describe as a shift dress either!

Have just purchased the pure cotton men's v neck jumper in lilac (thanks whomever recommended that!), the block heel shoe boots and those ankle grazer trousers for work. I'm going to have to stop reading this thread now!

It's definitely not a tunic Elledorado as it comes in at the waist. Nice material and an inner lining as well (which is what makes it seem such good quality on!)
