Can we have a “nice stuff at M&S” thread”?

It’s 20% off code this weekend so I’m off to get shoes and socks for DS, a couple of bras for me (they fit me well as long as I fend off any helpful attempts by their fitters to resize me into a 34AA) and some camisoles/vests to layer under stuff.

And possibly some crazy suede stilettos for work as well (they never leave the carpet and only have to walk for twenty yards at a time so I can go mad with height)

On the grounds that M&S are a nice enough British owned company who pay their taxes and AFAIK have decent working conditions, and the high street is having a tough time at the moment, is anyone up to the challenge of suggesting other hidden gems that would be a good buy with the discount code?

I just bought three lovely things (of course....days before the 20% offer):

This green jumper. It looks much better than the picture, where she's pulled it tightly down - who wears jumpers like that? It's a gorgeous green, pretty sleeves, very warm, but just the right weight for the office.

This purple cardi. I might sew up the side splits, as I'm not keen on them.

This midi skirt. I'm in love! I really like the full midis that are in at the moment, but most of them do my hips no favours. This one is fitted at the top. Also, it's difficult to explain but it has flared sides, which means it is lovely and swishy and takes it out of the "1980s geography teacher" look. Goes nicely with the green jumper and ankle boots for work.

They have some great work trousers in too, but I'm all trousered up right now.

Some of my most loved, well fitted and longest lasting clothes are from M&S I have some real gems from there that look a lot more expensive and boutique than they are.

myfashionable40s blogger was raving about M&S's Everywear Trousers - I like the look of the ankle grazers for spring, has anyone got an opinion on them?

I ordered the dogtooth ones. They looked good but they felt more synthetic than they actually were, 73% cotton but felt much less than that so they went back. So I haven't worn them to see how they do. I have some per una ankle skimmers that go out of shape after a single wear but that might just be that they're a bit big and I shoyld have gone down a size.

Thank you @Thiscantreallybehappening. Went into the Marble Arch branch today with DD1. She got a really nice red raincoat and we used the code in store with no problem. I thought the clothes had improved no end - the office wear was quite plain but lots of useful stuff (and plain can always be jazzed up with a scarf or jewellery). Also some nice tops and skirts in Autograph, but the usual shit in Per Una! Shoes and boots consistently good. I tried on some trousers that I am dithering about (note to self, don't try on trousers when wearing walking boots that you have done a complicated knot on).

Oh they also have Korres shower gel on offer - four for £16.50, rather than £32 so we snapped up a pack of them!
