The trouble is Never once you've found something you really like anything similar is never quite right if you know what I mean. I've done it before particularly with boots trying to be sensible but they're never quite right and I end up buying what I originally wanted in the end.

That said I have spent a fortune lately Blush and honestly do not need another thing. I think I probably have enough clothes, underwear, shoes etc for at least 12 months - the only thing I will definitely need in the foreseeable is a new mascara. Time to spend some money doing things rather than on things I think.

neveradullmoment99 · 22/03/2018 21:44

I have done exactly that Nearly You are never satisfied with second best. I have also spent a fortune and have avoided using the 10% because I don't need anything either and should just get pleasure out of the clothes I have.

Laska5772 · 23/03/2018 14:25

Santana skirt arrived ..its fab!! . Piquante. Really lovely fabric and drape.. def worth it with 10% off.. Smile

neveradullmoment99 · 23/03/2018 16:20

I'm not sure about the rust colour tbh. Can you post pictures of it?

OP posts:
neveradullmoment99 · 23/03/2018 16:21

How long is it Laska?

OP posts:
Laska5772 · 23/03/2018 16:56

ok.so I look about 302 and 17 stone in this photo.. but its the best i can get. As you see I am also wearing the linen Ts , pink under , guava over ( so you can get the length.). . Skirt looks better with little black Cannes top from last year ,or black vest i think but i cant seem to get a good photo.. (oh, and there is a flaw in the mirror which really shows up in this photo..mid front of skirt)

Its mid calf on me (5') and it has slits up the side but only about 6/8 ins. lovely silky fabric.. I am really pleased with it , this is going on my Greek holiday!

Hush..Its the new collection S/S18 and we are still loving it!!

This is a 12

Laska5772 · 23/03/2018 16:59

sorry I am 5'5 not 5 foot! Grin

Thebirthdayparty · 23/03/2018 17:10

Does anybody have the Tabitha skirt? I can’t make up my mind about it. I like the drape, length but it is much ‘brighter’ than I thought it would be. I can’t figure out what to wear with it. Grey looks very winterish. White so predictable and limiting. . Blue looks terrible with it. Coral would be nice but it’s not a colour I can wear near my face. Anybody have any suggestions?

neveradullmoment99 · 23/03/2018 17:17

Laska the skirt looks great on you!!!
It does sit nicely. I like the colour better in real life on you. Its really nice. Trying not to buy things atm as a I have a few things coming up but definitely on my summer wish list.

The birthday party What about cream with it? Or if you cant wear coral, a lighter shade - peach?

OP posts:
neveradullmoment99 · 23/03/2018 17:19

Laska The guava linen top that you have on is definitely longer than the one I tried on! I may re-order it. Its a beautiful colour.

Thebirthdayparty · 23/03/2018 17:24

I can't wear orange tones near my face.

Cream washes me out. My colouring suits white more but white is so summery. I didn't want to have to limit it to just white if that makes sense? I'd like it to be more versatile.

neveradullmoment99 · 23/03/2018 18:26

You could try the hibiscus tee:

www.hush-uk.com/womenswear/daywear/tops/cotton_slub_v_tee_1_hibiscus.htm

The skirt is meant to be coral/hibiscus. It may work for you. Its more of a red.

They also have a few other things in this colour. The linen V-neck jumper and a the deliilah fringe top.

OP posts:
neveradullmoment99 · 23/03/2018 18:29

Also the guava or the light coral long sleeved linen raw edge top might work. It depends on the colour within the skirt.

Hibiscus is a beautiful colour. I have last years cashmere jumper in that colour and its a dusky red.

Thebirthdayparty · 23/03/2018 23:31

Thanks everyone, some great suggestions.

Is hibisscus a red or a very deep orange? I really have to steer well away from orange.

Luckylollies · 24/03/2018 04:35

New Hush 10% code everyone! SP1018
It says reorder code so not sure if it works for all but worth a try! 😊

ilovecherries · 24/03/2018 13:08

What’s the quality of the plain tee shirts like? I balk at that price for a tee shirt, but I do like some of the colours that you don’t get in the supermarket ranges. I think I will send back the yellow ‘love saves the day’ tee, think I’m just too old. Also not sure about the striped raw edge and undecided about the yellow sloppy Joe - love it, but it’s basically the yellow love sweat sans sleeves.

Laska5772 · 24/03/2018 14:17

I have only ever tried the plain long tanks cherries and thought them too expensive for what they were so sent back ..I think if its a colour you now you are not going to get anywhere else then maybe.. I have to say I quite like H&M or Tu for basics

neveradullmoment99 · 24/03/2018 15:17

I have a few of their slub tees. I think they are pretty poor quality imo. The thing is, the shape of them are nice. Nice length and don't cling which are hard to find. Also for the big of boob the V-neck is pretty flattering. I think the problem with them is that they are quite thin. Some of the other tees are good. The boxy tee I think is better quality and seems thicker than the slub. Also quite a few of my slub tees have developed holes. At £27 that is not on.

Thebirthdayparty - the hibiscus is a red colour.

Laska love that skirt on you! Good choice with colour too

So...back from long week in Paris and a bit tired today. On the bright side got my annual bonus so couldn't resist a shopping spree while recovering from work today Grin

Some bits from Mint Velvet sale which I'll decide whether to keep when they arrive
AND with 10% new Hush discount I ordered Kerala blouse in Guava, Monaco trousers in slate and black slub tee. Will share thoughts with you on arrival next Monday.
Was sorely tempted by jumpsuit (sleeveless version) but stopped myself as not sure I'm really a jumpsuit person.
I'm not bothering to return my previous order to get the discount because a) Bryce stripe culottes in 12 are ooo now and b) they take too long to refund!
Having said that I may still return the camel star jumper, still not convinced it's right for me...

cherries I have the slub tee in M in dark grey, I do wear it weekly usually to my Pilates class with another long sleeve uniglo heatech top underneath as the hall where class is can get chilly...the point is that despite weekly washing it's still in pretty good shape, no holes in mine and the v neck is very flattering for boobage. It's true that fabric is thin which is the reason I wear something else underneath. I've ordered the black version now so will see how it compares with my old one when it arrives.
Like all my Hush stuff I only wash in delicate 30C wash and never tumble dry.
