Never good to know re sizing of the green sweatshirt as I'm a small 10 and nearly always wear small in their sweatshirts but sounds like may need an xs.
Theformidable can I ask how tall you are re the short sleeved SJ being short?

Laska5772 · 28/02/2018 12:37

Liberty shirt arrived ! its fab ,good cut , definitely a keeper. Gorgeous soft cotton.. I also have the 12 coming (as decided I couldn't be bothered to try out the exchange service and possibly lose my quidco or 10% ) , the 10 is fine but will also try on the 12 to see if i like a more relaxed look. One or other will be kept. Really pleased with it .

TheFormidableMrsC · 28/02/2018 12:43

Nearly, I am 5ft 5. I really struggle with Hush tops, largely because I have very broad shoulders (I weight train a lot!) and large boobs. So I think that everything comes up short on me. Never got on with any of the sweatshirts, all have been XL, all too short. The only exception has been the yellow love sweat which is longer and more oversized (also much softer, washed cotton). The s/s sloppy joe is always popular and sells out, so if you want one, get it now while the discount is on. I just find that the sweats generally need to be a good two inches longer.

Nearlyadoctor · 28/02/2018 12:53

Theformidable thank you, I'm 5'4 but not very broad so hopefully will be fine, may even order both colours whilst there available, have been caught out before re stock.

Also tempted by the silk Tee in black and orange - not sure if anyone else has tried it?

Ellapaella · 28/02/2018 12:53

I have the green sweat shirt with the embroidered heart, I'm a size 10 and found the small fits fine. Admittedly didn't try the xs but am happy with the small.
The pink puff sleeve sweater is lovely, I tried it on in John Lewis last weekend and would have bought if I could justify spending even more but just couldn't. The colour is beautiful. Almost wish I'd gone for that over the heart sweater now but I do love that too.

ilovecherries · 28/02/2018 13:04

Yes nearly, I got that silk shirt this morning, it's a keeper, and I would say true to size. I'm a 14 on top, I ordered a 14 and it fits well. Looks lovely with the Santana skirt and the marina from last season.

Nearlyadoctor · 28/02/2018 13:20

Thank you Ilove . I think this'll be a big order!!

mumsiedarlingrevolta · 28/02/2018 13:24

Grin laska and never re Molly top

laska have now ordered liberty top as would have had buyers remorse if I didn't.

Really love tabitha but put off by reviews-does anyone have IRL??

Laska5772 · 28/02/2018 13:39

mumsie Its definitely a warm (er) weather shirt! but am really pleased with it . Often blue striped shirts look a bit 'pyjama-y' or 'prison shirt-y' on me.. this one doesn't .

I think it will wash in and (possibly eventually fade out )beautifully .

I have decided to leave the green raw seam linen shirt until later . I already have last years in french blue , pale pink and yellow.

Re: shortsleeve sloppy joe. I bought that last year in black to go with black and white marina skirt ( it was called Sofia last year but is the same) .. I have only worn the top once.. somehow i find the short sleeves (just above elbow) a bit annoying..

Laska5772 · 28/02/2018 13:41

Do size down with the Liberty shirt! I am 14 (quite busty) and the 10 is fine on me!

Nearlyadoctor · 28/02/2018 13:48

Ordered place - now really must step away from the threadGrin

mumsiedarlingrevolta · 28/02/2018 13:51

Tabitha? anyone have it???

on my second order in 2 days.....

thanks for sizing tip laska am quite top-heavy myself so always struggle to decide size...

miffy2 · 28/02/2018 14:04

mumsie I ordered the Tabitha but sent it back. The waistband is firm rather than elasticated so there is no give in it. On me I found it quite A-line rather than swishy and because of the high split, the slip underneath only comes halfway. If it had no split and a full length underlayer I would have kept it but it just didn't sit right on me. On the other hand I love all their gatherer/pleated skirts.

Theonlyoneiknow · 28/02/2018 15:03

Usual promo code ending impulse buys for me!

I have ordered the star jeans, blue raglan sweat (I have 3 of these already - oops but so useful!), the Nancy dress and the Layla dress.

Will report back!

mumsiedarlingrevolta · 28/02/2018 16:28

miffy2 thanks so much. not sure why I feel yearning for it as all the reviews have been uninspiring??

miffy2 · 28/02/2018 17:37

mumsie if you are a straight up/down shape I’d say it would look fab on. I’m too wide in the hips I think.

neveradullmoment99 · 28/02/2018 18:32

People generally dislike anything made with polyester. I love the top with that print. I think its pretty. I just don't tend to wear maxi dresses.

Was trying to stay away from this thread but a combination of snow day, pay day and the promo code has landed me frantically adding to basket Blush
I am seriously considering the embroidered star tee, I know it is very pricey but both colours are basically my ideal smart casual top, for family meals, pub trips etc. TheFormidable how did you find the sizing? I'm normally a size 12 usually find hush small okish.
Wanted to also get fay jumper but see its already sold out, I got the oatmeal Fay last year and would recommend Smile
Also liking the love stack jumper but trying to resist!

SoyYo · 28/02/2018 19:03

May I join?
Another "hush friend" here Blush
Your thread is fab and very enabling Wink but I do order a lot and return a lot too! I find Hush promises more than it delivers...but when it's a hit it tends to be a big hit and worth the hassle of the constant trying and returning.

Second order in 2 days just placed, but already returning:

Marina skirt (size 12) green print from sale, in case anyone wants to check stock early next week as no longer available...I already returned a black one last summer and I've yet to learn the voluminous shape doesn't suit my 5'3" narrow hip frame 😢I'm envious of those it suits

Ditto boyfriend jeans my bottom looks completely flat in them front is fine but still...
Shame as I really wanted to love them and both returns are great quality items
Green heart embroidered sweat also going back does nothing for my colouring or shape...
In the end kept a sale scarf and lace peekaboo top which is fab quality and suits large norkage.
Oslo sale skirt also going back...

New order:
Love sweat in M (fully expecting to return this but your ❤️ swayed me to look see)
Amie joggers as alternative to harems which I love but now getting ancient and may suit my shape better.
Embroidered jeans hoping more relaxed than skinnies (Hush skinnies suit me but I've enough pairs) but arse still visible
Emmanuelle dress because I love the fabric, fully expecting it to look crap on me and return
Sale Florence skirt (same fabric as Marina, hope it'll suit as I do like the snake print fabric) and sale Mona Devore as I love the ✨on it...
There again fully expecting both skirts to look meh and return.

Oh and the silk shirt with stars 😬

Will report back if you're interested? I think a lot of it has being covered already...

Ellapaella · 28/02/2018 19:25

SoyYo I've ordered the Florence skirt too.. please report back as I expect mine will be hugely delayed by all the snow we've been having. I'm hoping it will look nice with black tights and biker boots with a black chunky knit sweater or polo neck or to dress up with black heels and leather jacket. Have literally no idea what it will be like in real life, took a bit of a gamble on it as it's not my usual style.

SoyYo · 28/02/2018 19:41

Will do Ella tbh I took a punt too and I know the fabric is nice and floaty based on the Marina skirt I'm returning, snake print not usually my style but it's original and I like it to style with my many black jumpers too.
I thought the star jeans looked great on you but in the end went for the embroidered style as judging by the boyfriend jeans I'm returning boyfriend style is not right for my shape.
FYI I'm 12 at the bottom and 14 on top if fitted, can sometimes get away with 10 bottoms in Hush but ordered the 12 skirts and jeans.
I'm expecting delivery Friday as I ordered after 4pm and too late for next day.

Laska5772 · 28/02/2018 20:08

Has anyone tried the skinny stevie jeans that are in the sale?
they dont qualify for the 10% off but was wondering?..

SoyYo · 28/02/2018 20:11

Laska I did and returned a month ago...didn't look good enough on me but I'm very fussy with jeans
If they suit your shape they were good quality denim and colour and good value at sale price.
True to size, not very stretchy

neveradullmoment99 · 28/02/2018 20:18

I also ordered them. They didn't suit me either. I reckon if your are slim on the hips they could work for you. I am pear shaped and added extra to my hips. The seam that goes down the middle at the top was to blame. I returned them. They also were a weird length.

miffy2 · 28/02/2018 20:22

I emailed CS to comment on how the clothes in reality sometimes look very different to how they look in photos. I asked if perhaps they used samples to photograph and then ran the production lines. They said no, that the model's height and sizes worn are correct. I am therefore totally baffled at how so many things, in my correct size, are so much shorter on me when I am shorter than the model?!
Oh well, it bloody didn't deter me from placing one last S/S order :D

I ordered the grey puff sleeve sweat tunic in medium, the pink Love Tee and I am giving the frill sleeve jersey tee another try, this time in black as I think sometimes I just don't like shades of grey on me and that can put me off liking something.

I have sent back £284 worth of stuff today Shock so I will be looking forward to getting that moolah back on my card.
