Am I slovenly not to wear matching bra and knickers?

Because I never do! I usually wear lace bralet type bras in whichever colour I can find them in, and then multipack knickers in black or white from Primark.

My friend was horrified when I told her that I don't wear matching sets and said that she always does!

So am I being a slob by not wearing sets?

I am slovenly and don't give a flying Grin. It has never occurred to me on a daily basis. I don't even match colours.

KatyMac · 31/01/2018 13:28

I'm grateful they are clean & fit - colour? as long as they aren't over washed grey they'll be fine!

MargeryFenworthy · 31/01/2018 13:46

I'd never say slovenly! But.... I always wear matching lingerie. It's just one of my 'things'

NavyGold · 31/01/2018 13:49

I'm a GG cup. I'm just grateful when I can find bras in the sale that don't cost an absolute fortune, couldn't give a shit that they don't match my multi pack for £6 from Sainsbury's knickers.

Monkeybunkey · 31/01/2018 13:49

If you're a slob then so am I! I wear whichever pair of knickers is at the top of the drawer and ditto for bra. Sometimes they match (I own a lot of black underwear), sometimes not. The other day I was rocking a shocking pink bra and white lacy knickers. I'm single, so it's not like anyone's going to see them apart from me in any case!

UnderTheDesk · 31/01/2018 13:51

Of course not. Don't be silly.

ButteredScone · 31/01/2018 13:52

People who wear matching bra and knickers also seem to have really neat handwriting. Just an observation.

lostleonardo · 31/01/2018 13:53

I always wear matching sets and my handwriting is worse than my doctor's!

SchnitzelVonKrumm · 31/01/2018 13:53

Shock What if you get run over?

LaGattaNera · 31/01/2018 13:53

The only matching underwear I have is a couple of sets for "dressing up" Grin but day to day non-matching although might be same colour (inadvertently)

PaperdollCartoon · 31/01/2018 13:54

I almost never match and if I do it’s by accident. I have big boobs with expensive bras, I can’t afford that many matching sets!

yourhavingagiraffee · 31/01/2018 13:55

Don't think I own matching underwear 😏

MinesaPinot · 31/01/2018 13:55

Well if that makes you a slob, then I'm one too.

(And everyone says I've got really neat handwriting....)

UnimaginativeUsername · 31/01/2018 13:56

I don’t have any matching underwear.

If you have to have matchy-matchy underwear, do you need coordinating socks too?

StripySocksAndDocs · 31/01/2018 13:56

If you get hit by a bus you will be shamed. SHAMED I tell you when the medical staff cut off your clothes and discover this mismatch.

I'm not entirely sure if this is specific to buses or not. But you know know.

I don't think it makes you a slob though. The reasons for the shame are vague and not particularly obvious.

StripySocksAndDocs · 31/01/2018 13:58

Ooh SchnitzelVonKrumm may know: is it specific to buses or can it be extended to any vehicle?

LineySt · 31/01/2018 13:59

On my death bed, I doubt I'm going to be regretting the lack of effort I put during my life into matching my linggery.

MidnightVelvetthe7th · 31/01/2018 14:01

I wear at least 3 pairs of pants per day, so I'm sunk!

One pair in the morning to get ready for work, new pair on just before I go out of the door, next pair on after my daily evening shower.

Surely I'm not the only one with a hierarchy of pants?!

himynameiss · 31/01/2018 14:02

If I had lovely little C boobs and a size 8 bum then yes I would buy every matching set there is in primark but unfortunately this is not the case for F boobs and size 14 bum.

AnnPerkins · 31/01/2018 14:06

My underwear pretty much always matches because I only have black and white.

I would like to wear more colourful underwear but I can't afford to buy sets and I prefer it to match.

I've been looking for colourful multipacks of knickers that come with a matching bra but not found anything. Perhaps I've found a gap in the market...

LonginesPrime · 31/01/2018 14:11

I'm grateful they are clean & fit

^ This.

caribari72 · 31/01/2018 14:11

As for you pal being "horrified" - God only knows how she'd react to me still wearing a bra long after one of the wires has gone awol. My boobs don't match let alone my top and bottom!

I'm sure the paramedic (attending my unfortunate bus RTA) who's half way through his 4th 12hr shift in a row has other things on her/his mind!

Just you enjoy your comfy multi-coloured under-friends!

Melamin · 31/01/2018 14:13

It puzzles me why M&S do vests, bras and knickers with matching lace, but not necessarily in matching colours (except for black and white of course, but not always). So you can buy some knickers in an interesting colour, but there is nothing to go with them Hmm

UnimaginativeUsername · 31/01/2018 14:18

Many of the knickers designed to match bras are not the sort of all cotton pants I like to wear.

champagneplanet · 31/01/2018 14:25

I tend to wear only black, white or nude, and usually match my underwear as closely as I can to what's going on over it.

Out of the few sets I have I don't think both pieces are every in the drawer together at the same time!
