Am I slovenly not to wear matching bra and knickers?

Because I never do! I usually wear lace bralet type bras in whichever colour I can find them in, and then multipack knickers in black or white from Primark.

My friend was horrified when I told her that I don't wear matching sets and said that she always does!

So am I being a slob by not wearing sets?

Another here who needs to know more about the 3 pairs a day

Yes it always has to match.
I'm flat chested though so never wear bras without giving me loads of extra padding.
Tbh I only buy the pants to match coz it makes me feel more feminine, since having no boobs doesn't.
I hate being flat chested Sad

Aww Blue- I have come to love being flat chested! I am never anything bigger than an A or B cup. But I feel I can wear anything, clothes sit nicely on me and I never feel I look top-heavy. I can also go without a bra quite comfortably if the notion takes me or my top dictates it!

There are benefits to all sizes! Embrace the pancakes! Wink

I don’t wear bras and all my knickers are at least 3 years old. So if you’re slovenly what the hell does that make me?!? Grin who cares what underwear you’re wearing? If you don’t then neither should anyone else

Is a nice idea, perhapsfor a lingerie catalogue or sultry sauntering around the house in a Negligé (no? Me neither)

I want to wear a bra that matches my top (shape wise and colour wise) and knickers that work with my bottom outerwear.
that makes me feel 'pulled together'.
I wouldn't compromise that for the sake of matching bra and knickers if one of them wasn't up for the particular day's task.

Also, unless you're wearing the same colour outerwear top and bottom, there is no sartorial reason for matching underwear, only personal preference.

As mentioned, white underwear under white clothing usually shows. So unless you want to make a purposeful 'statement' (in which case, black or a bright colour might look better anyway), nude works better – even if it doesn't look so good under a Negligé!

My dd borrowed one of my pretty bras for a formal dinner dance, she was a bit Hmm when I told her that she had to wear the knickers that went with it.

She asked me if I always matched my underwear, of course I said. Even down to my cami tops or vests! Now she does the same as it fits in with her ocd tendencies Grin

I am a slob, I wear manky bras and big pants, never match. But you'd never know from looking at meGrin

All my underwear is black. Therefore it all matches. Job done.

I've said this before but years ago M&S used to sell multipacks of cotton knickers that matched that season's bras. So you could buy a bra, some sexy knickers and three pairs of everyday pants that all co-ordinated. So sensible.

Schnitzel This is what I've been looking for! I would prefer microfibre shorts but I'm not fussy. Does anyone know where this kind of range is available now? Next does some multipacks but only in black/white/nude. I want something a bit more exciting, like red or turquoise.

Also, did I imagine this? I'm sure I read on MN once that the best colour bra to wear under white is red?
