I tried the shimmery tan stuff this morning on my arm. It smells AWFUL and is basically just glittery. Confused

BluebellGal · 07/12/2017 12:16

Yes the glitter spray was a disappointment- it’s dat in my drawer unused for 6 weeks. Might dig out for Xmas do

So far the Look Fantastic calendar is beating my actual AC - the Liberty AC. I opened the LF one in October (bought it for value of products) and I would say I’m using half of the stuff on a daily basis and I’ve saved £££ in Male up replacement. Have also gifted various bits. Will be getting this again next year for AC and not Liberty

BluebellGal · 07/12/2017 12:17

Bloody predictive text
It’s SAT in my drawer
MAKE up replacement

endthefarts · 07/12/2017 14:00

Today's is the first that no so far that I won't use. I'm pale and don't use fake tan or get a natural tan so it's pointless for me. I've liked everything else though and I think the primer is my favourite so far.

missfliss · 07/12/2017 15:00

Is it usable on the face? Don't think it'd do my legs let alone my whole body...

BringMeTea · 07/12/2017 15:09

Not for face. I will use in sunnier times.

problembottom · 07/12/2017 16:50

Not a fan of shimmer or fake tan so won’t be using today’s. On a more positive note I tried the This Works primer this morning and my make up has stayed on well.

BigStripeyBastard · 07/12/2017 22:59

Awww shit....is this fake tan? I thought it was just a body shimmer glow.......oh well, I will have one beautiful tanned hand tomorrow lol.
I quite like the smell..... reminds me of a perfume my mother used to wear many many years ago......

snowflakestar · 08/12/2017 07:08

I'm really disappointed with today's. A cream for fine hair. I have very thick hair. Reviews aren't great either. There are plenty of hair products out there for all hair types. They even do this product for medium hair. I don't own a hairdryer and even leave the hairdressers with wet hair so in theory a product to cut down on natural drying time would be useful. Two products in a row that I won't even open.

caggie09 · 08/12/2017 08:14

Yup, same here. Wont use it either. My hair is also very thick. I dont actually do anything fancy with my hair, so styling products, volume products, ect are wasted on me. If it was a hair mask id use it. Hopefullt tomorrow betterSmile

missfliss · 08/12/2017 11:09

I might try today's in summer, but I have longish very very thick heavy hair....so can't leave to air dry in winter, it'd take hours and hours

OP posts:
BigStripeyBastard · 08/12/2017 11:21

Yeah, word of warning....yesterday's Gradual Tan spray? Not so gradual!

😁
I'll probably give today's a whirl....what's the worst that can happen?

BringMeTea · 08/12/2017 11:27

Happy with today. Been wanting to try it. It’s probably shit but at least I haven’t paid over the odds to add to my mountain of expensive hair goo that doesn’t work.

Zeldaaa · 08/12/2017 11:52

Another pale person, who likes being pale, so the gradual tanner will not be used. Neither will the hair cream from today as I have very thick heavy hair as it is. Disappointed.

snowflakestar · 08/12/2017 12:14

Mine takes hours and hours to dry, missfliss, as it's very long and thick! But I don't have a choice as my hair is curly and looks awful unless I leave it to dry naturally. Have always had to go out with wet hair!

Annabelle4 · 08/12/2017 12:48

Not sure what I think of this one. I'll wait until the weather is warmer before I try. I don't like the smell though.

Looking forward to tomorrow's. I've completely forgotten what's in this advent calendar, even though I checked before I bought Blush

purplewaterbottle · 08/12/2017 12:49

I'm happy with todays! I have horribly thinning hair I've been trying to sort, so I'm happy to try anything.

problembottom · 08/12/2017 14:42

I’m very happy with today’s, I have fine hair and if will be a great product for me if it works. Still wearing my lipstick for everyday and I’m getting on well with the primer too.

Paperdove87 · 08/12/2017 16:52

I've opened tomorrow and Sunday's. Blush in my defence I'm going away for the weekend and I wanted to know if there was anything I could take with me. Really excited to try the next two products, one in particular I've been meaning to buy something similar to try for ages so the weekend is looking good!

BringMeTea · 08/12/2017 17:12

Yes, I am feeling quite smug about the LF calendar. Had Liberty last year but I think this is better so far.

InfiniteSheldon · 08/12/2017 17:53

Haven't read the last post as I don't want any spoilers but I'm really pleased with the hair product I've got long thick heavy hair I still used it my hair dry naturally really nice and then I finished it after the very last of the Moroccan oil we got last year my hair looks really really nice love the scalp detox loving this calendar so far not keen on the black eyeliner I don't use that and I still haven't used the one from last year but it has made me get last year's out and use it before we go out tonight.

GrumpyOldFucker · 08/12/2017 18:11

Better for me as I do have fine hair BUT IT'S STILL NOT MAKEUP!!

Jaimx86 · 08/12/2017 22:31

Going back to Monday, I'm really happy with the Ultra Repair Cream. I've put quite a think layer (sometimes two!) on my face each night before bed, and my skin is nicely hydrated it the morning. I've not tried it under makeup, but have been impressed with it as a night cream.

snowflakestar · 08/12/2017 22:55

I like the ultra repair cream too, but as a day cream. I'm liking the Gatineau at night - when I'm not using a sleeping mask!

I always use lots of product, I don't like to scrimp (like my mum!). These small tubes won't last me long at all!

snowflakestar · 08/12/2017 23:00

Just remembered the Gatineau and sleeping mask were from the M&S calendar!
