Does anyone fancy a thread to discuss the products as we open the drawers? Quite a few people seem to have it this year from what I've seen on here.

I wear nars orgasm already and have loads left, so no idea when I’ll get round to using this one. But....it’s a fab blusher.

Alwayslasttoarrive · 12/12/2017 14:12

Just had a closer look at mine - also got one side ‘upside down ‘. Not good Liberty.........

Alwayslasttoarrive · 12/12/2017 14:13

That’s my makeup bag I’m referring to , not the blusher haha......

LavenderHills · 12/12/2017 16:05

@VanessaBet If you're not used to using blush, my advice would be not to try anything tricky with shading or following your cheek bones. Look in the mirror, smile, and apply it to the apples of your cheeks while smiling.

Also, as @chloechloe said, tap the brush first in order to get rid of any excess product. (Another thing you can do is just use your finger and rub some on. Don't tell any makeup artists I said that, though!)

Stitchosaurus · 12/12/2017 16:44

@VanessaBet I went onto NARS website and they have a little video with tips for applying - suggested starting at the back of your cheekbone (so near your ear) and then bringing it forward so you're not putting too much right on the apple of the cheek

will have to check my make up bag when I get home!

chloechloe · 12/12/2017 19:47

I'll have to check out that video stitch!

My Liberty makeup bag is made of one piece of cloth so inevitably one side is upside down. Strange, but I guess it's quicker to make this way. I wonder if the ones they actually sell are the same?

VanessaBet · 12/12/2017 21:46

Thanks for the advice re blusher, I will attempt to not look like Aunt Sally!

Having looked more closely at the makeup bag, it is one piece after all - it's quite heavily creased at the bottom and I mistook that for a seam.

caggie09 · 13/12/2017 07:38

Im really happy with todays. It has so many good reviews online! It smells amazing too. Its has tiny shimmer to it aswell, which is nice. Cant wait to slather it on my arse laterGrin

Pippin8 · 13/12/2017 09:02

I stupidly opened this, half asleep on day one. It is brilliant, I slap it all over, the smell lasts forever & the shimmer is subtle.

So now I’ve got the boring hair tonic today.

HLBug · 13/12/2017 09:02

I knew that this cream was coming, and have been looking forward to it Smile The smell is lovely, although a bit overpowering - I had a massive coughing fit after going in for a good sniff Blush I'm tempted to buy the complimentary shower gel.

Stitchosaurus · 13/12/2017 09:29

I won't get a chance to slap this on until tomorrow, so didn't realise it has a shimmer to it - looking forward to it even more! (I'm basically a magpie and am going to end up looking like I've frosted myself at this rate but I love shimmery things!)

UpEarly · 13/12/2017 09:35

This cream is gorgeous!! I can’t see the shimmer although there is definitely an immediate difference (improvement) to the look and feel of my skin. Love it. And I would never have bought it otherwise. This is one I can see myself buying when the tester runs out. Super yum.

caggie09 · 13/12/2017 09:43

Think ill buy the gift set, you get the body mist and another cream. It just smells so good, if its crap ill just sit and sniff itGrin

cedoren · 13/12/2017 10:34

Why is everyone so excited about today's?? Whoever looks at their bum bum GrinGrinGrin

OP posts:
GaryBarlowsTaxReturn · 13/12/2017 10:54

Not a fan of perfumed body cream so not bothered by today's. Will probably flog it on eBay! Loving the nars blusher.

LavenderHills · 13/12/2017 14:14

DP's reaction to today's item:

"Good Lord! Orgasm blush and now BUM BUM cream? Did someone particularly sexually frustrated put that calendar together?"

chloechloe · 13/12/2017 15:04

I knew this was coming and can't wait to try it. Apparently it's pronounced "boom boom" cream, but I'm not sure that's any better Grin

Dozyoldtwonk · 13/12/2017 19:58

I’ve tried it & I love it Grin very happy with the last few days. NARS are my blusher brand of choice so very happy with yesterday’s too. The only one I’ve been really disappointed with so far was the roller ball perfume thing - just a bit pointless really (although a nice brand - love their expensive candles)

Anyone keeping total?

Nanasueathome · 13/12/2017 20:04

The Bum Bum cream is £18 on Cult Beauty website

LastGirlOnTheLeft · 13/12/2017 20:04

I'm so jealous!!! I want to try this!! I love following the calendar people in this thread...I would have loved to get Liberty but couldn't afford it!! Thanks so much for sharing all your feelings...maybe next year I can join you all!!

bellabelly · 13/12/2017 22:09

@Pippin8 - I felt meh about the hair stuff (I never normally faff with things like that) BUT, in the spirit of the calendar, I tried it and loved it. I didn't realise that you're supposed to wash with shampoo and conditioner afterwards - the print was too small to read without my glasses - I just washed with shampoo then put it on for 20 mins and rinsed off thoroughly with water. Result was lovely hair! And my hair is a frizzy mess usually.

bellabelly · 13/12/2017 22:11

@LastGirlOnTheLeft - it's my first year, after wanting to for ages! Save up over 2018 - £3.50 a week? - and do it.

caggie09 · 14/12/2017 07:01

Another cleanser! I had Eve Lom last year out of another, it was okay but ive already found my go to hot cloh cleanser. Just means i have more to choose from now. I did also get a hot cloth cleanser this morn from m&s one!

VanillaMincePie · 14/12/2017 07:05

Sorry, is the Bum Bum cream literally just for the bum? I put mine in a drawer for later.

Alwayslasttoarrive · 14/12/2017 07:27

I think today’s is a bit of a miss for me. Don’t like the overwhelming smell and there’s a couple of ingredients in this that I’ve reacted to in the past. Might give it a tentative go (in the spirit of the calendar) at some point, but have just started using the Skin Laundry stuff which I’m loving. Doesn’t this pop up every year in the Liberty calendar? Looking at the contents of previous calendars, doesn’t it usually come with a muslin cloth as well? No cloth in mine ........
