My &OS order arrived.
Who was it who talked about the sparkly sweater but said the crew neck was too high? I ordered it to try as I love a High crew neck and I LOVE it. Thank you.
The shoes are going back. I don’t think I can do the chunky heel. Also they absolutely stink of glue - presumably where the stones are fixed to the heel. Back they go.

Shame about the shoes shop but glad the jumper is a keeper. Sorry, I didn’t see you comment about the outnet thread till later In the day as work was mental, but saw you had commented so guessed you had going it!

It’s DDs reception Xmas performance this morning. Should I take a tissue Grin.

Everyonelovessparkles · 06/12/2017 07:55

Sorry bad autocorrectsin post above, so annoying when iPhone changes words. Meant ‘found the thread!’

MarshaBradyo · 06/12/2017 09:04

Everyone yes! Always gets me.

Karcheer · 06/12/2017 09:31

We are off to Bicester today. No expectations but you never know... wish me luck 😆

MarshaBradyo · 06/12/2017 10:12

Good luck and have fun Karcheer. Hope there’s some good stuff

BlairWaldorfLovesShopping · 06/12/2017 12:19

You're brave Karcheer, looking forward to seeing if you get anything.

Such a shame about the outnet, I don't know if I will ever feel the same about it. And I have shopped with Yoox before as well.

Realised I never reported back about all my recent buys!
The &OS blouse is really nice and a keeper even though the sleeves are a bit pirate-y. I tried it on in the evening in my bedroom with light on, and it looked good with just a black bra, not too obvious.
Velvet leggings were supremely comfy and the right length for my legs, so I will be living in those over Christmas I probably owned a pair 20+ years ago but f* it
The gold hoops are GORGEOUS and I wasn't sure about giving WIT any of my money (Blush Grin JK Laura!) but they're just so nice. Wore them to work yesterday, they will go with literally any outfit.
I haven't tried the cream silk shirt yet but it is beautiful. Need to do that later.

shopafrolic · 06/12/2017 13:41

I need to search back for your links Blair - your haul sounds fab
LOL at autocorrect - all the time here
I just drove into Earl's Court to get my hair done - he was in a rush to get to a photo shoot and for the first time ever I'm not sure - he sent me off with damp hair. Hoping it's a one off and things will improve next visit. At least my greys have gone.
Work on the garden is still going on - the builders have been AWOL for 10 days now. My tumble dryer is still in the hallway where our 7ft tree normally stands Hmm. DS is getting very cross that we have no decorations yet. I am losing the will and it is only the 6th!

Hello all,

I've been spending like a woman with no arms (weird phrase my mother uses) - red rockstuds, self-portrait dress, cashmere galore (it's cold) plus all the festive house shit I 'need' like fir garlands for the mantelpiece, room sprays, diffusers, decorations because I couldn't be arsed finding and unpacking ours etc etc

Big day tomorrow - my first time organising the Christmas event for our wider business unit. Has been causing me stress since September, so I'll be glad to get it over with!

FedupNagging · 06/12/2017 19:34

Links, Amber we need links! Good luck tomorrow, hope it's a roaring success.

Some fab dress links for you Shop; I absolutely love the HH blue but not really suitable for winter. It was me who returned the &OS jumper but pleased you really like it.

Karcheer hope you had some success at Bicester today.

The only clothes I've bought this week are for the dgc and designer boxers for the dc's. Dh has also asked for my xmas wish list - it will need to be very specific and easy to source. I'll provide links to the websites plus any discount codes Grin

Am out 4 nights in a row this week, starting tonight - it will all be fun but I'm exhausted just thinking about it!

Absolutely loving the red chubby stick I bought last week, such a gorgeous colour.

AmberNectarine · 06/12/2017 20:08

These and this

Karcheer · 06/12/2017 21:01

Evening all, didn't get very much. Came home with a pair of these but in a sand python finish.
Apart from that I got a toilet roll holder and some shower gel from Cowshed. Some mugs.
And a few other nick nacks. Bit annoyed that valet parking doesn't include handsfree shopping anymore

MarshaBradyo · 07/12/2017 11:35

Nice Karcheer

Love those Amber

Have fun Fedup

MarshaBradyo · 07/12/2017 11:36

Hmm damp hair is a bit off Shop hope the style feels better today

MarshaBradyo · 08/12/2017 10:04

Switching to the Sorels today. Fluffy and warm

Happy birthday Dry! [fizz] Cake Thanks

OneNightTimeMenaceStrikesBack · 08/12/2017 14:56

hello all!

HAd a lovely day out with DP yesterday doing some christmas shopping together. Picked up nice bits in selfridges from the foodhall for Dp's stocking and he'll be going back for some bits for his mums stocking. since we are spending the whole of christmas with her including christmas eve when we normally unwrap our stockings, we decided to do one for her too as we'd feel a bit off sneaking off to do ours on our own. I have three presents left to buy and thats everyone done totally but the things i need to get i can pick up when we arrive up north, they are easily found items!

No fashion news to report, i haven't bought anything new in absolutely ages! I just haven't had so much urge to buy buy buy this year. Ive replaced basics like tights and underwear as needed but bought very little outside that, don't know whtas wrong with me!!!

shopafrolic · 08/12/2017 18:42

Evening all. There's a lot of tumbleweed around here......
Everyone must be caught up in the pre Christmas organisational panic!

DH is just back from his work Christmas party - he has a voice like Barry White but has had fun. I wish I still had the chance to go to a company do - one of the downsides of being a SAHM.
I've managed to put a few decorations up now, and met a friend at the local posh hotel for breakfast today. It was all done up for Christmas with enormous trees and wreaths - beautiful. Then went on to meet another girlfriend for lunch and a glass of prosecco. Popped into the White Company for my annual Winter candle purchase. Christmas can officially start now. :)

Evening allSmile
Have had a lovely day and new iPad so I'll be able to keep up with threads quicker but with prob as many typos as everGrin
It's BLOODY freezing up north! How is it with you all? Huge snow dump due on the weekend so I'm excited.

Fashion wise it's been a quiet season for me sihavent felt I could contribute hugely to the thread. Now I'm on a speedier device I'll be more active hopefully.

BlairWaldorfLovesShopping · 08/12/2017 22:48

Happy birthday Dry :) Cake Wine Gin

shopafrolic · 08/12/2017 23:09

Yes Dry Happy Birthday darling
I’m hoping your typos don’t improve. They’re too much fun.
What’s everyone wearing on a Christmas Day? Any ideas yet?

OP posts:
DryWhiteagainW · 08/12/2017 23:12

I’m thinking black Sandro fit and flare dress with black ghillie type or sequinned skirt and fine knit, cushion or teal. Christmas head gear.....

Anyone else?

OneNightTimeMenaceStrikesBack · 08/12/2017 23:18

i think i'll be wearing a red tartan dress that has silver thread running through it, either that or a dark green tartan dress. thats as far as ive though up to now though

Longislandicetee · 09/12/2017 08:43

Morning!! Looks like everyone else has also been caught up in the midst of busy work, busy end of term and various parties and celebrations!

I don't have anything new in the fashion stakes but this week I enjoyed experimenting with the knits, pencil skirts and long boots look a couple of times. It was our Christmas party so i wore a fab sparkly Christmas jumper (M&S kiddies department!) with my Theory leather skinnies and ankle boots. It kind of looked fashionable! Dh and i dinner date last night so i wore this warehouse sequinned dress with these Lucy Choi shoes. Heeeeeels!

I have also enjoyed opening my L'occitaine advent calendar each day. Lovely little things each day. I have had hand creams, shower gels, cleansing oil and shampoo so far.

We go into big Christmas mode this weekend. Buble already playing this morning.Grin Happy Saturdays all!

shopafrolic · 09/12/2017 09:07

Blingy how do you get your boobs into a kids jumper? Hmm

OP posts:
FedupNagging · 09/12/2017 09:15

I have a new Christmas apron so will definitely be wearing that on Christmas Day!

Dry belated happy birthday WineCake.

Blingy lovely outfit last night. Your back must be much improved if you trotted out in heels last night - big relief.

Amber love the rockstuds.

Our tree & decs went up yesterday and dh will be putting the outside lights up this morning. I'm babysitting this afternoon and then we're out with friends tonight. Tomorrow will be a lazy day Grin
