I'm here Marsha Grin

I don't have a J Crew code cardoon but nice to see you again Smile

Hats are tricky Marsha. Beret not much use for keeping your ears warm though which is essential in cold weather IMO. I can't believe there is snow there. DD will be raging if there is a white Christmas just as we have left.

Do you think you could pull off a faux fur Cossack style hat? I think they can look great.

MarshaBradyo · 30/11/2017 18:43

Lib!

True. Actually close to that may work is one of those ones with fluff and ears. Will have a look

FedupNagging · 30/11/2017 18:59

Marsha can you wear a fedora? although not brilliant in the warmth stakes. Baker boy stylee maybe?

The dress/kaftan is for our summer hols, recently booked. At 100% cotton & heavily discounted I decided to purchase.

No more fashion news but I did get a red chubby stick from Clinique plus another lipstick and lipliner. Love a new lipstick Smile

MarshaBradyo · 30/11/2017 19:31

Unfortunately no to fedoras, but I do love the baker boy one! Love the texture of it too

Might have to wait for sales as they just finished 20% off which will bug me

Good one on holiday prep, so nice to have something booked already

shopafrolic · 30/11/2017 19:43

Like that Baker Boy one for you Marsha

Love the Anglomania dress amber, I think it will really suit you. Well done on getting strictly tickets again. Will you be pulling another all nighter??

Good luck on the house hunting lib. Did you take the one you saw that was ok?

marsha I do like hats (and think I don’t look too bad in them) but there is a difference in a fashion hat and one for warmth! Have you tried the knitted headbands that keep ears warm but aren’t a hat. They’re good for skiing. Hope you found some nice decorations for your tree in the end.

fedup I was going to say you are organised buying for next years holiday, but then realised I often go exactly the same Grin. At least you are getting a good bargain. The kaftan is lovely.

Karcheer · 30/11/2017 20:46

I'd love to wear more hats, in fact I think everyone should wear more hats. However I only wear a woolly hat in the winter and nothing any other time of the year.

DryWhiteagainW · 30/11/2017 21:01

Evening all.....

Marsha yes to Baker Boy style for you. Think you could do a beret no? Love them.

Sequinned skirt having first outing tomorrow night. It's freezing here and still snowing so I need tights tomorrow ......nude or barely black? Bit thrown by an article I read about 10 rpthings that age you and nude tights were on there Hmm

Karcheer · 30/11/2017 21:04

I only ever wear black tights with my sequinned skirt, but it's quite short.
I'm really careful about where I wear nude tights, I always worry they look a bit frumpy, it's ridiculous really isn't it.

libertyonhertravels · 30/11/2017 21:43

everyone house is a total saga and leading to non stop low level rowing between me and DH. We haven't heard back from agent yet and are still looking.

That baker boy hat is great - good spot fedup.

DryWhiteagainW · 30/11/2017 22:03

Karcheer not ridiculous at all, I have yet to find nude tights that are invisible

Longislandicetee · 01/12/2017 08:51

Morning! I have been wearing a pink cashmere beret all week. Love them as so stylish!

I love 1 DecemberGrin its when we go into Christmas mode in our house. The advent calendars were all ready at the breakfast table and our Elf. Kids were so excited to see him.

This year I am doing L'occitaine advent calendar and I got my housekeeper the M&S one. I got a lemon smelling perfume which neither dh and I were impressed with and she got a lovely smelling body lotion. Oh well.Hmm

Dd has the Smiggle calendar as it was the only thing in Smiggle she didn't ownHmm, Ds has the lego Star Wars one and dh Cadbury chocolate one.

Back to fashion...Totally loving my new r&b boots (will link later) and with this cold snap my MaxMara cashmere coat has become my go to coat.

Dry if you go black it has to be sheer low dernier black.

shopafrolic · 01/12/2017 15:57

OK guys I have a fashion brief for you please.

It is my DH's boss' 50th birthday in January and we are going to a 'do' on a boat on the Thames. Dress code is Dress to Impress and there is a certain amount of needing to 'dress the part' of senior manager's wife. I need the whole lot, dress / jumpsuit, bag, shoes ideally designer for the dress but discounted designer. I will be able to wear the outfit again for a 40th party in February. £400 - £500 total budget.
I am HoC Winter, Dramatic Classic. Wow colours are white, black, indigo, electric blue, lobelia, fuchsia, carmine, scarlet and light emerald. 75% colours are grey, charcoal, royal purple, navy, magenta, raspberry, damson, burgundy or dark emerald.
Please shout if you see anything. Flowers

Sounds good! Back later to catch up and have a think

shopafrolic · 01/12/2017 18:12

Just ordered a couple of bits from the Outnet as potential Christmas presents (for me!)
Equipment fine knit I already have this in a check front so I'll be breaking my rule of not buying two of the same thing.....
And this Duffy gilet which I am unsure about mainly because I have no idea what it is made of. I've been looking at it for a while so thought I'd try it. It may be all kinds of dull.
I HATE the new Outnet check out process. On my laptop I couldn't even get the items in my shopping bag, and on the app the way to enter card details is v confusing and apparently they are now shipping from Italy. Charges have dropped to £2.50 but will take longer to reach me. Hmm

That's good timing with the do Shop - you can do a sales shortlist of items. Will have a browse for you soon. Do you have any shoes/bags that could be options, or do you definitely want new?

shopafrolic · 01/12/2017 21:13

Ideally all new Blair
I need to get Pinning stuff and then hope it hits Jan sales.

Have a look at Gorgeous Couture shop - great colours and a variety of shapes. Quality is lovely and then you could spend more on accessories.

AmberNectarine · 02/12/2017 05:35

And everyone I am in the queue as we speak, have been here since 2.45am!

libertyonhertravels · 02/12/2017 06:32

Oh my amber that's dedication!!!

We have a rental sorted - yippee. It's really lovely, great location, in zone for a good school. We move in on 23rd Dec. Feels like very good karma to be there for Christmas.

Shop I'll start browsing - love the Equipment sweater. The link to the gillet isn't working.

OneNightTimeMenaceStrikesBack · 02/12/2017 08:13

that great news about the rental lib i hope you have a fabulous first christmas there together Thanks

holy smokes Amber that really IS dedication!! rather you than me though, i'd be frozen on the spot!!

Karcheer · 02/12/2017 08:22

What queue are you in amber I'm still in bed

AmberNectarine · 02/12/2017 08:34

I won't lie, it's a bit brisk.

I'm 6th.

DryWhiteagainW · 02/12/2017 09:30

Right leg gate sorted. Last night I wore my sequinned skirt with a very old fav fitted wool/cashmere fine knit with frilled cuffs from Nougat, KG cross strap black heels, red clutch, red nails and lips. Felt fab. Lots of comments. Felt like a Strictly contestant when I went on the dance floor. V sore feet am I getting old? anyway.....any tights looked wrong, so I slapped in the leg paint and braced myself. Not too chilly and looked much better.

Needless to say this morning I have no voice and a very sore head.

shop I love a project. Will start looking for you.

I'm feeling extremely Christmassy.....is it me but is it starting earlier this year? Seeing lots of lights and trees around already

shopafrolic · 02/12/2017 09:37

Thanks Amber I'll take a look
Duffy gilet
Dry blimey that is hardcore
Christmas is starting early. I blame Trump. The worse things are, the more we give to Children In Need and the earlier the lights go up Grin
No tree going up here until 2 weeks before. Set. In. Stone.
Amber I'll keep an eye out for you - couldn't see you last year.......
Lib I'm so pleased for you all x
