Tis the season...

The first one I've seen actually for sale is the John Lewis Beauty Advent Calendar. £149 with a great selection of products.
Ordered mine!

Just ordered my Liberty one! Still available at 6.45 am Grin

BertrandRussell · 25/10/2017 07:05

So would the sample products in, for example, the Liberty one cost £7 each if you bought them?

Pippin8 · 25/10/2017 07:23

I’ve ordered the Liberty, my husband is going to kill me.......

Ilovesliz · 25/10/2017 07:27

@BertrandRussell They would cost more than £7. And you also get full size products. I take it you're not a regular user of luxe beauty products?

Arsenicinthesugarbowl · 25/10/2017 07:28

I’ve gone for the look fantastic one. I thought about Liberty but just couldn’t justify it in the end! I’m having it next year though Grin

fishchipspeasandgravy · 25/10/2017 07:39

I looked at the Liberty one but I just can’t justify it.
M&S for me when it’s released I think

BluebellGal · 25/10/2017 08:03

Liberty calendar ordered!

Motoko · 25/10/2017 08:31

Another here who can't justify the cost of the Liberty one, lovely as it is. Pomegranate, can I be your best friend? Grin

It's a toss up between the M&S one, or the No.7, although I'm leaning more towards M&S as it has a range of brands.

chloechloe · 25/10/2017 08:34

I'm still not decided about the Liberty one, but I think I'll go for it. I have soooo many products to use up, but I can afford it and I deserve a treat!

bertrand The retail cost of the Liberty items is much more than £7 each. For example the Diptyque candle costs £24 and the Trish McEvoy lip gloss is also around £25. They're not samples as you would get for free from a beauty counter, but either full size products or "deluxe samples" - i.e. around a third of a full product.

Ordered liberty one this morning. Loved it last year and made £££ selling the few things I didn't like on eBay. So it'll work out well again I think. I have been ignoring anything stating the contents! I want a surprise!

LavenderHills · 25/10/2017 09:13

I just caught DP ordering the Liberty calendar for me! I'm pretending I saw nothing Wink

VampireSugarAndCorpseSpice · 25/10/2017 09:18

I ordered DH the whisky advent calendar last year and the ginvent one the year before. Any ideas for DH for this year? Sadly, he's not a fan of grooming products so Tom Ford is wasted on him.

Softkitty2 · 25/10/2017 09:36

15 out of the 24 are full size. Thats good enough for me.

So excited!!! Im surprised it hasnt sold out yet 😍😍😍😍

caggie09 · 25/10/2017 10:07

Got an email to let me know its been dispatched, dont know how ill hold back and not open each draw😓

HaHaHmm · 25/10/2017 10:15

caggie you don't have to hold back! It's one of the few perks of being a grown-up...!

BewareOfDragons · 25/10/2017 10:22

My Look Fantastic box just arrived!! Resisting opening the whole thing!

BulletFox · 25/10/2017 10:36

TVHubbyClaire · 25/10/2017 10:41

Just ordered Liberty one for first time. very excited Smile

YetAnotherHelenMumsnet · 25/10/2017 10:46

Hi HaHa,
We've withdrawn that spoilery post now as per your request, so all of you ordering will Just Have To Be Good And Wait. Grin

BulletFox · 25/10/2017 10:48

'Be Good And Wait'?? (Novel concept)

Japanese · 25/10/2017 10:49

I ordered the Liberty one this morning (at 07:30) for my mum.

Have just checked the Liberty website and they are still available to buy but there are so many on Ebay already with a heavy mark-up saying 'sold out'.

HaHaHmm · 25/10/2017 10:50

Sorry for the spoilers! I had totted up the value of the RRPs of nine of the fifteen full size products. £278 for those alone.

HaHaHmm · 25/10/2017 10:55

Just had a look on eBay, Japanese. Loads of them, including one listing which wants £320 and has at least ten available. Knobs. I wish Liberty would place a limit on the number that you can buy, but perhaps the rapid sell-out and lucrative secondary market is desirable to create a buzz around the product.

Japanese · 25/10/2017 10:58

It's bonkers isn't it? I hope anyone who wants one has the sense to actually check the Liberty website first before buying such a marked-up (but not actually sold out yet) product on EBay.
