Thoughts?

I know a lot of people think hush is overpriced tat, but this thread is for those of us that still buy the odd thing.

I've had a brief look & like the look of the Christie coat & Cassie dress. Last year I got a dress in the same style of this years clover dress, which I love.

However, the prints this year are awful.

Thanks for that Laska - I did wonder about the Hayden joggers as they look very similar to an old pair of Jack Wills ones I've got and they are thick. I like harems the best I think as the arnie ones make me look as if I have enormous thighs!

intelligentPutty · 28/09/2017 19:02

Received my delivery last week and loving too much of it!!
The Stella jumper in grey with pink is divine. I want more in more colours....
The ivy dress in burgundy is a little too lightweight (quite a thin fabric which shows bra through) but I liked the length and feel. I am just not sure I will wear it. Feels like I am Ina. Bit of a sack from particular angles in the mirror. Got a size s which was a good fit.
The long harem joggers are lovely and sooo comfy. But I think I might return and swap for the aimie. Very undecided on those!!
I wish I could afford a lot more from this catalogue. Grin

Appuskidu · 28/09/2017 19:24

What's the sizing like on the Stella jumper, intelligentputty? Can you poss tell me what it measures from underarm to underarm and from underarm to hem!

miffy2 · 28/09/2017 19:55

I prefer the harems over the Amie (have bought Amie on two separate occasions and sent them back both times) and I can't figure out why as I love ankle zips. I think the zips are too heavy for the fabric and kind of move around as I walk. On the other hand I now own three pairs of harems snd love them all.....No doubt I will buy the Amie next year to try them once again!

Pity about the striped jumper Laksa, I hate anything remotely itchy so I am dreading not liking it...on the other hand my credit card will be happy.

intelligentPutty · 28/09/2017 20:06

@Appuskidu it's 57cm underarm to underarm and 42cm underarm to hem.
It's a size M. I'm pleased with it. Slightly loose but still fitted. Iykwim.
@miffy2 since posting I've put the harems on again and wandering round the house (with label still attached). Interesting comments about the aimie. Maybe I'll try them too in a different colour and keep these.
@Laska5772 shame about the itchy jumper, sounds like it's lovely in every other aspect.
@Nearlyadoctor thanks for the code. Sounds like u found a few things to buy with the credit!!

Laska5772 · 28/09/2017 20:13

miffy Yours might not be itchy.. It may just be that im like the princess with the pea after all! Grin

I too have 3 pairs of harems. about 2/3years old now..but still going strong .. black, navy and grey.. I saw the Amie striped in JL but didnt like the zips either,

Laska5772 · 28/09/2017 20:15

putty ao yes, I was keen on the striped Amies , but yes agree with miffy re zip

neveradullmoment99 · 28/09/2017 20:20

Do you feel good in the harems outside? I think they look great on the tall model but think that the bottom part where it is ruched puts me off. Just wondering if you need to be tall or is 5ft 5 tall enough?

neveradullmoment99 · 28/09/2017 20:21

Just wondering if you wear them largely for lounging!

neveradullmoment99 · 28/09/2017 20:22

I ordered the Tansy dress. It sounds a bit short but i love the animal print green.

Judydreamsofhorses · 28/09/2017 20:30

I ordered the lightening bolt jumper in black and the crossover ruched skirt last night. I wore last year's skirt so much (still do but it's a bit washed out now) and the jumper is suitably Bowie-esque.

Laska5772 · 28/09/2017 20:32

nevesr when they were new I did wear the black ones out a few times . am 5'5 . I did once or twice to work on a dressed down friday , but they never really felt right.. Otherwise really only for casual things .. going to supermarket, travelling inthe car etc .

. I really mostly wear them around the house.. but theyd be good to wear down to the leisure centre if you get changed there..

But I am a bit strange about wearing joggers etc out ..it could be my age ! (59) .
I do wear them a lot though, all three pairs rotated.. one on , one in the wash one in the wardrobe !

Laska5772 · 28/09/2017 20:34

Am wearing the blue this evening!!

neveradullmoment99 · 28/09/2017 20:44

Thanks laska. I do like how they look on the model depending upon the shot. On the shorter model [ 5ft7] I think they look like they drown her. I was very tempted by the cropped ones in the summer. I just feel after my spends this month that buying a pair of harems for just around the house atm cant be justified. Thanks for the feedback. Maybe a later purchase.

MumBod · 28/09/2017 20:46

I wear my harems out and about. They're so comfy it overrides any misgivings, tbh.

Laska5772 · 28/09/2017 20:51

they would be good on a plane also.. (maybe i should lighten up about wearing them out.. .. if i got a new pair I would try it again.. mine are pretty old now)

Laska5772 · 28/09/2017 20:52

Where do you wear yours Mumbod?

MumBod · 28/09/2017 20:58

Everywhere!

I've worn them to the hairdressers, supermarket, to Pilates...even at work Grin

MumBod · 28/09/2017 20:59

They're definitely my go-to for flying/any other travelling.

MumBod · 28/09/2017 21:01

I don't feel scruffy in them, if I make sure my hair and makeup look ok and have got a nice t-shirt or vest and open shirt on with them, and a bit of jewellery.

They can be dressed up quite nicely.

Nearlyadoctor · 28/09/2017 21:08

I wear my harems out and about, normally with the longer length vest top and a Stella jumper on top. I'm only 5'4 and they don't drown me.
As others have said so comfy for flying, I wore mine to go to Florida last year for the flight, actually with the above felt dressier than jeans. Tend to wear silver Superga's with them.

FizzPopping · 28/09/2017 22:40

@Mumbod what is the fit of the Christie coat like? I've ordered the green and seems exactly what I've been looking for so got high hopes!

miffy2 · 28/09/2017 22:47

I wear mine at weekends usually but are they can look smart with the right tops. I’d love the grey but may have to wait till next year. I tend to buy one pair every year. Hoping for burgundy next year ;)

Size down with them. I wear a small and I’m 12-14 in other hush trousers.

miffy2 · 28/09/2017 22:47

*agree they can look smart

neveradullmoment99 · 29/09/2017 00:10

Thanks. Think i will try them next month :)
