Reasonably priced everyday perfume

I love Chanel chance eau tendre but it's expensive so I keep it for holidays and nights out.

But I'd like something new for everyday and work wear. Normally wear clarins eau dynamisante through the winter and eau resourcesant in the summer but they don't seem to last long and people can't smell them on me.

So I'm looking for something long lasting, strong but not migraine inducing, and not as expensive as Chanel

What's your everyday fave?

I'm an expensive perfume hoarder but my favourite more affordable ones are any of the Roger&Gallet sprays (favourite: eau des bienfaits or Bois d'orange), Lovely is ubiquitous but for a reason, it smells warm, soapy and 'clean', but NYC by SJP is also one of my faves. The body lotion of it is really strong and lasts all day aswell.

Beadieye, how long can you keep a oerfume, without it changing/"ageing"? Would you know?

I've gone off Lancome Tresor, put it in a drawer and its sat there for 2 yrs. Do I bin it? Or if I suddenly like it again, will it be wearable ?

Hmm I'm not sure on that one Suki, I'm sure something to do with the molecules must happen over time but after 2 years I'd say it should be ok (based on me having a 2000 edition of a perfume that I spray every once in a while to be nostalgic and it's stayed the same)

You can keep perfume for decades if it's stored properly (away from the direct sunlight etc) Even if it hasn't been stored well, it will probably only be the top notes that have gone- the lighter citrussy ones for example.

I buy a lot of old perfume and I've only ever had to throw one bottle that had gone completely.

You can usually tell if stuff has gone completely by the colour which gets much darker.

Thanks 😊 Should be fine then

Anais Anais by Cacharel is lovely and fresh day scent. It's about £21 for 50ml and £29 for 100. Last forever and smells so good.

On the more expensive end of a scale 19 by Chanel is my favourite day time scent ATM
