I'm rosy today in JHAG Mad Madame. A lot of those are very rose based, Miss Charming is probably the "purest" rose with not much else going on. I love FM Lipstick Rose too, might go for that tomorrow.

Hello fragrant friends. Have reverted to PIAM name again.
Am in hols in Menorca after finishing residential...bought my first bottle of 19 EDP as opposed to edt at the airport so am wafting round elegantly and crisply. Dd plumped for l'Occitane Verveine (assistant made me rofl-when I said we were buying for dd she was all "oh I bet you like sweet perfumes" )
I have a confession- to the perfumista waiting for the PP addict I promised to send weeks ago- I foolishly sent that in a parcel back to Italy and kept the Colonial water by mistake! I will send it when I get back but that will be beginning of September.
Fell in love at airport with Chanel Boy (hints of Coromandel but more wearable) and MH Fumee thingummy (hints of Tauers)

SOTD was Shalimar. Fancied something big and strong. Perfect.

SOTD is Miu Miu. I am so tired today, I could do with a bit of a pick me up before bed, but CBA to have a second shower so will have to stick with the Miu Miu.

The drs was a nightmare. Over an hour late going in so ds1 was late for badminton....he was vile
Ds1 has yet more antibiotics for his toe so we have had to get him an appt at a private podiatrist .....dr said nhs wait would be "weeks" :(
This is his 2nd lot of antibiotics in a month.
Then ds2 was sent to hospital for an x ray - Dr thinks he has severs disease.
So.....yeah. crappy day.
Just waiting to see if ds2 needs a private appt too.
Will have to sell a kidney at this rate!! 😦

So the Calvin Klein Reveal came yesterday and I have been wearing to see if it lives up to its salty rep.

The opening IS salty and I keep getting salty whiffs as it dries down. It is very reminiscent of Escape (which I wore relentlessly in my twenties), especially towards the end but without the glaring calone note. I like it. It's not totally "me" as it lacks my usual smoky love but it is a very wearable summer scent. The bottle is gorgeous.

I'm hypothyroid - diagnosed March this year- and am struggling with my GP as the thyroxine isn't working for me. Tempted to get a private consultation but it's so pricey. I feel like I'm watching the NHS fall apart - it was exceptional when my son was ill seven years ago. My parents live in France now and get reciprocal health care (how long that will last...) My dad had brilliant care for his leukaemia and the follow up is fantastic.

So SOTD is Reveal and home scent is some Arabian incense I wafted about with a charcoal burner on Saturday and is still smelling lovely now. I think the smoke gets into the fabrics which is why it lasts so long.

They can prescribe and are not constrained by nhs pricing guidelines...sadly there is prob a much better medication/ dosage for your illness But The nhs won't fund it 😡😡😡😡

I'm glad that you like the CK Reveal DM - I genuinely think it's a real hidden gem. Like Knope2020 ( love the name) I had mentally boxed off CK as a midmarket mediocrity but this is gorgeous and very different. Truth is apparently also lovely - have ordered a sample.
My question of the day though is which PP is a dupe for Chanel 19? I vaguely remember a post that painstakingly deducted what was what from the Chanels but can't remember the details
