We have dusted down our Gigis and boyfriend shirts. We are desperately trying to avoid melting in MMFs. We are planning capsule holiday wardrobes. We are getting ready for summer gorgeousness......come and join us for as we wait for the temperatures to soar.....

Not voted yet - don't get up early enough!

Mara i went to the regent street store, but I had looked the items up online beforehand and luckily there were lots of linen items in the same section (on same level as baby clothes, by the escalator going up).

Shop oh no, hope your eye feels better soon.

OneNightTimeMenaceStrikesBack · 08/06/2017 15:30

ugh, hello all

hope your eye settles down soon Shop swollen eyes are horrible Thanks

hope you're alright Amber Thanks

very annoyed about a skirt that i ordered, it's arrived but is FOUR inches smaller on the waist than it should be according to the size guide so have emailed and asked for a replacement with the correct waist size. Even though it's not an expensive skirt, i'm still annoyed that they've cocked up, it's all correctly labelled as the size i ordered but is absolutely not, i measured it to be certain as i got a bit upset thinking i'd put more weight on but was worried for nothing since it's such an awful lot smaller than it's meant to be. HAve also asked them to pay for it to be returned tot hem, do'n't see why i should be out of pocket for their mistake!

off to vote when dp gets back, as soon as we knew the address of where we were going to be come election day, we registered to vote there so we wouldn't miss it, it's too important to miss really

AmberNectarine · 08/06/2017 21:06

Oh, I'm alright, just a lot of shit to deal with at the mo. I shall address it in the usual manner; with wine and sarcasm.

Haven't bought much either! Got a top from finery, which I will wear tomorrow night, but otherwise I've been buying house stuff left, right and centre. Still a long way to go (previous owners were BIG fans of the textured wallpaper - ceilings et al) but I do LOVE this house.

DryWhiteagainW · 08/06/2017 21:36

Just wTching The Fall on Amazon. Brilliant. I think G Anderson/ Detective Stella's wardrobe is so cool: plain silk shirts, plain pencil skirts, some leather, stiletto courts...nominal class. Nearly as good as Clare Underwoid's in HoC.

wow what a night,

Doing a school trip today, so many parents going, no surprise I guess!

libertydoddle · 09/06/2017 11:15

Hmmmm interesting night. Politics is not about to calm down anytime soon it appears.

Good luck with the school trip Marsha.

shopafrolic · 09/06/2017 12:31

Marsha have a fun time today - I'm sure all will go well :)
I think I may have had my fill of politics now. It's just a disaster.
I'm back onto fluffy fashion as a release. So.......I'm considering these jeans for summer Thoughts? Too retro?
Then I saw these in a back issue of Grazia have ordered to try but I'm not sure how good they will look on my big feet? Free delivery and returns though so worth a shot. They're nice in the white too....

MarshaBrady · 09/06/2017 15:07

I like that look Shop, you're going to look super tall with long legs

Trip was great. It is tiring though and I only had my child and one another to look after. Kudos to teachers and their energy levels.

I'm glad I went and it was good to face a fear head on, everything felt good - I know you can never really know but it's pretty much impossible to be in London with children and not go into town.

Home now, nice and quiet for a while.

shopafrolic · 09/06/2017 16:00

Nice one Marsha so glad you faced it and enjoyed it. That's awesome.
My friend just turned up on the school run looking fab in these glasses - she gets loads of stuff from M&S and always looks fab.
She had these pink crops on yesterday in the longer length with trainers. Really fab and says these were also good on
Anyway, excuse all the M&S links but thought I should share.
I'm off to check the leg length on those Levis. Enjoy the mini MU those who are going.

shopafrolic · 09/06/2017 16:01

That last comment sounded like I have FOMO and am being rude. I'm not! Sorry. I genuinely mean have a lovely mini MU Grin

libertydoddle · 09/06/2017 16:33

I didn't read it like that shop. Am really looking forward to the MU tonight and 8th July.

The tiredness from being up half the night is starting to kick in unfortunately.

Also have I mentioned that in my new job role I am based on Marylebone High Street a lot!!! Very dangerous from a shopping POV. Have to make a determined effort to walk straight to the Tube station in the evening and not get distracted Grin.

Dreamqueen · 09/06/2017 17:19

Thanks Shop. I'm on the train hoping to find a summer replacement for my pistols. They're the only shoe/boot that I own with a heel that I can wear comfortably. Admittedly it's not much of a heel. It higher than my faithful trainers Smile

FedupNagging · 09/06/2017 19:19

I'm a massive fan of the wide leg trouser so love the jeans Shop - and the wedges.

One what a pita about the skirt; hope you get it sorted.

I spent the afternoon with some gf's drinking cocktails in the sunshine - a lovely way to start the weekend although I feel like I need a nap now! no stamina

Have a fab mini mu [fizz]

libertydoddle · 10/06/2017 00:02

I can confirm that fizz has been consumed... nearly home. Lovely night, will update tomorrow.

Dreamqueen · 10/06/2017 00:08

I'm home too, lovely evening Gin

Dreamqueen · 10/06/2017 09:08

Thanks Lib for organising mini MU. Had a great time.
Great chat and outfits.

DryWhiteagainW · 10/06/2017 10:44

Morning all!
You're evenings all sounded great. After disgracing myself in my Whistles bodycon floral dress last Saturday I had a sparkling water only night with girlfriends last night....this won't happen again, boring!!!!!!
Marsha well done on school trip. Always kind of dread them but always come home having had such a blast, kids are just such fun.
Going to check links.

Hi everyone! What a glorious day!Sounds like a great time was had by all at the mini MU, hope the heads haven't been too sore today! I will properly check out your M&S links, they get such a bad write up on S&B but I always see things I would love to get if they ever bothered stocking in my size instore.

libertydoddle · 10/06/2017 22:02

Busy day here of activities, birthday party and a playdate (none of which are great with a low level hangover Grin). Mini MU was great. The bar was good, perfect music volume to allow for a proper chat.

Blair looked like she had walked out of a Ralph Lauren photo shoot in a white Uniqlo dress with her Gucci belt, mara was super chic in Celine dress, dream looked fabulous in red and amber nailed it in a Finery top and some M&S shoes I now desperately want. I felt distinctly shabby and rumpled among them after a day of jumping on and off the Tube between meetings but after a few glasses of fizz I got over it Smile. I think I will need to organise another one or two before I depart these shores.

Dry I saw some block heel snakeskin sandals in Office today like your ones. Had DD in tow so couldn't try them but going to pop back tomorrow if possible. Glad to hear to have seen sense re sparkling water only night Wink.

DryWhiteagainW · 11/06/2017 09:56

Liberty seriously buy them. I'm wearing them loads, they go with everything from jeans to dresses, so comfy, no sinking into grass issues, not too dresses up but not too weekend either and they look great.....and you've got the belt too.......off you go.......Smile

So, we are in the middle of GCSE and A'Level double whammy and all is surprisingly calm chez Dry ........... I'm a terrible mother because I'm more interested in the prom outfits Shock ......this is my forte. I've dragged DS to Next for a new dinner suit SA didn't know what that meant Shockwonders when to invest in a proper quality one for him, not sure when trhey stop growing, hopefully soon as he's huge and the most exciting is DD's outfit......I feel like mother of the bride. The week before will be hair/nail/tan appointments and don't even mention on the night.....worse than The Oscars, pre pre prom party, pre prom party, prom, post prom party.......Shock I'm in my element--
Be warned parents of little ones.......prom is nuts, never had them when I was at school.

Hello Voguers...long term lurker, very occasional poster popping in again for a nose!

LOVE the M&S sunnies linked by shop - bizarrely my ears must sit very close to my head because I can only wear glasses with very thin stems or they make my ears stick out, so those look perfect. Thank you for sharing.

Giggling at the prom description dry, is it wrong that it actually got me excited for when DS is old enough?! Grin

I'm off to London next wkd with my mum and sister to buy outfits for my brother's wedding...really looking forward to it but also avoiding carbs all week in a bid to not get in a massive grump when I start trying stuff on!

DryWhiteagainW · 11/06/2017 12:47

Stitch I love it when lurkers come on board, welcome and we will need outfit links next weekend remember. I love dressing up so will enjoy seeing what you choose .

Thank you dry, I will attempt to keep up with you all properly this time!

We'll be on the look out for hats too so hopefully I'll have lots of links to share.

shopafrolic · 11/06/2017 14:13

Love it when my links bring out a lurker. Welcome (back?) Stitch wedding outfit shopping sounds fun. I haven't been to one in years.....
